PLEASE DO THIS THING!

...did we break the lock on the door?
...I think we broke the lock on the door.

Y'know... I wasn't expecting that to work.
*falls over laughing*

It only worked because you guys are a bit of a race mishmash. I considered it more believable a lie that an odd group would be a bugbear's minions than a vanilla human/elf type of party. You wouldn't have made the DC if I had considered it less believable. And the adventure already had a related possibility if you had tried diplomacy.

I'm cool with it, down to 1 spell slot left. :)

We're losing a bit of our 'meat' as well as our other locksmith, it seems.
The option I WAS considering if we'd kept the same party was Sister in Arms (Cavalier Archetype from Adventurer's Guide).
I'm definitely keeping the race (it'd hurt my continuity otherwise) but do folks have other suggestions/ideas?

Hey guys who are continuing on to the next level,
Please dot in here, and post in discussion.
I will close the level 1 campaign after everyone has their chronicle. I'll get your chronicles to you in the next day or two.
To make it easier to start your level up, I'll just tell you now that you all got 3 EXP, 4 prestige, and 1398 gold.

How weird...the other Emerald Spire group I'm in already has one of those!
Well...good luck.

Will you allow me to add Inspiration to my Day Job roll? Threads discussing the question don't appear to have reached a firm answer either way, which I believe bounces the ball to your discretion in this case, DM (and given that crafter's fortune applies, I don't see why this can't as well).
If you permit it: 21 + 1d6 ⇒ 21 + (5) = 26

GM Redelia |

The scenario is reported, as much as possible.
Ahraq, I couldn't find your info to be able to report for you.
Elado, the system thinks your character is -4, not -3. I reported it for -4 so the name would match up. I think you may have a deleted -1 character or something like that.

GM Redelia |

Khana, Elado, and Baku, you should have your chronicles with everything properly reported.
Yroh and Raga, I have reported for you and your chronicles are complete, but I need your email address to get it to you.
Ahraq, I have not reported or made your chronicle because I need the information for the chronicle and your email address.

Got it Redelia.
I'm intrigued by this "Land Rush Chronicle Sheet" boon. Is that something specific to the Emerald Spire? Or do I access it elsewhere?

Sorry, got distracted. PM'd you my email!

Posting this for edification. Let me state up front that I completely agree with Redalia's ruling in this specific case from both a technical perspective and from the perspective that she's the GM. I just want to take the opportunity to expound on the issue.
Mark Seifter posted about this in his Rogue Eidolon guise here. This was before he became a Paizo Developer, so it's not official policy, but if you've ever met Mark, you know that he's scary smart and knows his stuff. His position and that of other 5 Stars and VCs in that thread is that Inspiration can be used for Day Jobs if and only if you can do so without expending points of Inspiration on the skill you are using for Day Job checks.
Ways to achieve that include (but are not limited to):
1) Taking the Investigator Talent "Expanded Inspiration" which allows free uses on Profession checks (among others.)
2) Getting the Information Brokerage vanity that allows one to use Knowledge(Local) for Day Jobs, which a normal Investigator can do for free.
3) Combining talents / archetypes / vanities to achieve the same result
See this Vanities list for an easy reference list of alternate Day Job skills (which interestingly was compiled by Mark Seifter when he was VC of Mass.)
In Khana's case, her page says that she has the Underworld Inspiration talent, but does not list a Vanity that would allow her to roll a Day Job check using Knowledge, Linguistics, Spellcraft, (the default free-use skills) or Bluff, Disable Device, Disguise, Intimidate, or Sleight of Hand (added by Underworld Inspiration). Without a vanity to expand Day Jobs to one of those skills that she can use inspiration without expending points, Khana cannot add inspiration to Day Job rolls.
Should we have to jump thru these hoops on this issue that's been around for this long? No, it should be (have been!) addressed in an FAQ or the Guild Guide. But until it is, I've used the linked thread above to support my Swash-igator rolling Day Job using the Information Brokerage vanity at many tables without any issues.

Hey! I just saw all that. Yes, that is helpful! Thing is, I actually only just got Underworld Inspiration with my new level, but that would be another good reason to take Expanded Inspiration at 5th!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll need to remember that for my own swashigator whenever he solidifies from GM proto-blob.
