Female Human Ranger6/Rogue5

"Here, starting filling." She tosses you up a sack full of sacks.

I've kept my opinions to myself before and I will again, just glad she's temporary Ivar looks at Captain Mercy nodding, he pulls a bag out and tosses the others back to her, loading the owls in a bag, he returns to the raft long enough to set the bag near it. Then calling up to those who went to the caves, "Anything of interest?"

Uraisa looks at OroTu waiting to see his reaction. "No, nothing in here, except a few items. I'll grab them and bring them out to the group. Hang on just a second, I'll be right out..."

Uraisa tries to collect the items, shooing away the chicks as best as she can.

Whilst Ivar retrievves statues Silas takes the time to have a look around.

"Let's keep a good look out. The last temples of Dajobas were trapped like crazy, though hopefully this one won't have the floor collapse on us."

wouldn't the chicks and the eggs be valuable?

Ivar smiles at Silas' comment about the temple collapsing yeah, those were good times, Laughing Ivar calls to Silas, as he pats his new Kukri, "well at least this time I am prepared for such an event, right Silas? I guess its true, you never can have too many knives!"

At the mention of Jalia, Ivar rolls his eyes, as his hand drifts to the mitheral throwing dagger, "She was a slippery one, haven't figured her out yet, but I promise you, she's up to no good." looking around trying to change the subject, "where are we off to now?" Still uncomfortable he calls to Oro-tu "Oro-tu, found anything that needs killing?"

He then continues onward.

that's all right, someone has to be good at looking around, It's just so kind of you to fit into the aboriginal stereo-type

Ivar nods his head, in understanding. Don't know if I want to take those things with us, don't if they are worth the risk With axe and shield in hand he follows Oro-Tu onward.

On your way to and from the caves is a collapsed building. This building rises to a shattered rooftop which is clearly on the point of collapse; narrow stone beams lean against each other precariously. The apex of the roof is made of gold and depicts a hideous monkey.

Oro-Tu motions to it silently as he passes it, taking a peek inside.

Oro-Tu the monkey statue seems to be holding the roof beams together, but you think you can shore it up so that it can be removed without collapsing it. Good catch!

Inside
Clearly, gold was of lesser value to those who used the molds—there is 11 lbs. of gold flashing in the corners of molds, along channels, and in the mounds. It takes approximately half an hour to collect the spilled gold.

Ivar carefully looks inside, seeing the gold, well the sooner we start the sooner were done, he turns to the captain and say's "well it looks like were going to need another bag," He then begins to pick up the spilled gold.

DM, Uraisa wants to Detect Magic on the items in the nest area that she collected. Do any of them ping?

Uraisa holds up the items she took from the nest to the others. "These look familiar to anyone?"

"Nothing I recognize, but let's have a closer look."
Leialoha will also cast detect magic on the things from the nest. AND on the monkey statue! Did we take the babies and eggs?

I've built the Razor Coast lore bonus into both of those.

The only thing magical is the potion of cure serious wounds. The monkey looks a bit like an ogrillon from the right angle, but has no other significance.

The monkey statue only weighs 22lbs. Onwards, which way is that Oro-Tu? You have the great stair and a few buildings to the west. Need to decide which one is next.

Probably best to check the outlying buildings before going up

"Yes, let's have a look at those buildings to the west. If there is anything worth taking or nasty, it's better to find them out now than when we go back"

In parallel with Oro-Tu, Beth moves to the square building at the base of the stairs and looks at the golden spire and shark statues: "Right, as we are here, let's take down that gold as well."

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Each stone statue has 10 lbs. of gold beaten across its surface. The spire, which is 20 feet high, has 25 lbs. of gold. Only half the gold can be removed by Medium characters without a DC 20 Climb check to access all the stone from the statues and spire.

Beth starts to take down the gold on the statues up to mid height. "Oro-Tu, do you fancy climbing up there to finish the job?"

The stair does not quite fit flush with the slab. Clearly, the stair once continued beyond this point, downward into the building itself.

Does that mean that the building is lower than it should be compared to the stairs or that there could be an entry into it that is hidden ?

If the building is lower, there may be an entry underwater.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

More that there might be or have been an entry below the building.

Ivar looks up toward the statues and spire, shrugging his shoulders and shouldering his shield an tucking his axe in his belt he begins looking for hand holds in the rock surfaces, "I will give this a try, what ever I can work loose I will toss down, Captain, get one of your sacks ready" Ivar then begins climbing the rough surface.

If you can't find it on a 52 I don't think you are going to find it! If here is another entrance, it is not here.

THE GREAT STAIR

Rising almost vertically up the caldera face is a stair made of countless narrow steps. Each step is faced with several dull gold disks depicting bestial creatures. The steps rise 100 feet in 50 feet and are near vertical. There are 1,209 animal figures; each is worth 25 gp and
weighing a half pound. The creatures depicted have an odd sense of hunger about them, and each takes a full round to pry from its position in the step.

so about 15 minutes to get 604.5 lbs. gold worth 30,225 gp. if we all work on it, what's the catch?

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Besides, you need to start figuring out how you are carrying all this and account for the weight and the total time spent collecting it, not too much.

Human Cleric of Quell 7/ Ranger (Freebooter) 1; HP 75/75, AC 21 T: 15: FF 16; Fort +9; Ref +9; Will +9; Init +5; Per +14; CMB +6, CMD +22

Looking at the pile of gold mounting, Beth sighs and take off the leather cords wrapped around her arms and shoulders.

"Well, if we are to carry all of that, I have those muleback cords that will increase your strength. I can also prepare an ant haul spell that will triple someone's carrying capacity for the next 16 hours"

"That said, I think we may want to bring all of that back to the ship right now before going into the temple."

Human female Universalist wizard 1 | 14 AC | HP 16/16 | F+4, R+4, W+6 | Initiative +0| Perception +4 | 25’ speed |

"Or we could just leave it here. Doesn't look like a lot of foot traffic here, so it'd probably be safe until we were ready to leave this place."

If you give those to Oro-Tu he would have a light load of 1200lbs, and a medium load of 2400lbs. Could probably carry a small building. lol. it wouldn't last long but if I got enlarged it would be about 8 minutes with >3000lbs light encumberance.

"Give cords to me. Save spell. We hide this in bundle, and when we leave, can grab it on way out?"

25 lbs gold = 1250 gp.?

After ivar finish's dropping all the gold off of the spire he carefully drops down and pulling out his multi-tool to use as a prybar, asks, "so we getting the little ones around the stairs too?"

You need to account for what you are carrying and what you are leaving where.

Leialoha:
look up. At the map at the top of the page. What is in the center?

All I'm seeing is water at the center of the map at the top of the page. Surely, I am missing something!

Leialoha:
I was referring to the island map with the caldera right in the center of it at 17! He should be well versed on volcanos being a worshipper of Pele. You are at the base of one.

Given all the talk about leaving etc either that's blowing or we're going to get attacked so timing and being able to move is critical.

One does not always know the will of the gods, but you are estimating hours and not days.

Probably doesn't change Leialoha's statement much...he'll share the hours estimate.
