Grung it's an undead frost wight.
The pale flesh of this walking corpse is rotting and putrid, its body skeletal in places, ice and frost cling to its hair, and its eye sockets glow with blue-white light. Croaker smashes right through the rot and comes out the other side, leaving the creatures in frigid chunks of flesh.

Hey Desmond can you double check your attack roll numbers, are they correct? Your stats on your profile say: Shortswords +18/+19/+13/+14. I'm not sure what additional buffs you have on your character.
You also rolled a natural 1, so a dex check (not reflex) needs to occur to see if the weapon was fumbled.

It's not about keeping you honest, I just didn't know the menacing weapon bonuses offhand. At these levels the bonuses get intense.
The 13 still beat the Dex bonus. Needed a 10 Dex.
