As the party makes it's way to the next check point several guards are quick to stop you. Their weapons at the ready. "WHOA there...No ...no ... no dark elves allowed. Not in my town. His squad takes a half moon postion to block your group's approach, There are a four archers towards the back with their arrows notched pointing at Nym.

This extreme reaction is quite harsh. Your group has never been confronted like this before.

The Lt. frowns at Grung and says, "Well, I did receive my orders, Col Korg, along with a dwarf weaponsmith who did a quick sharpening of my squad's blades." She stiffens up at being questioned but then coolly returns the suspicion, "Do you know Col Korg? From the sound of things here your group may not be welcomed."

As this quick exchange occurs Felicitas steps in and soothes the tension with the guards. They nod quickly and wave the group through.

If you are suspicious of her then you should make a sense motive check.


The Capt who questioned the group looks at the Lt. and says, "Col Korg and Talbard where heading towards barracks the last time I saw them. They will want a debriefing on your encounters."

The Lt salutes the Capt.

she could belch in my face and tell me she was filtering and i would believe that was her intention. But i still could think it rude. There is still free will in this game. Nym still finds the situation odd. Regaurdless if he thinks shes the reason or not. There are things that don't seem right even more so than normal above ground than usual.

Karnog puts on his gruffest and most stern "priest voice" as he dresses down the guardsman, then moves to enter the town like nothing ever happened.

The guards stand down and let the party through but not without their fair-share of mumbling. This groups is clearly uncomfortable by having the drow pass into town. One guard snidely states, "We'll be watch'n, keep him tether'd to you."

As you enter the town, you can see there are a series of barracks and hastily made channel points. Most of the buildings are bustling with traffic. You can see squads of guards training and gathering in most open spaces. The shops seem to be catering to the defensive needs of the town.

Karnog has a list loot on his character profile. Select no more than 6 items that you want to haggle about. Then look at the bargaining rules and set your price and make some bluff checks.

Is anyone else with the bard when she is showing the weapons. Are you doing anything when she pulls out the Dwarven Waraxe? Oh and I need 2 Will saves if you are in the shop with her.


Kalim you and the Capt walk some of the perimeter and he points out where defenses can be bolstered. "We've didn't have much notice of the pending attack....only 'bout three weeks but did dispatch riders out calling in allies and mercenaries. the townies all pitched in and we came up with these funneling embankments to try to create bottle necks." He essentially provides you with defense theory.
