(both are +2 if dealing with stone/metal)
baldwin the merciful |
The next morning the sun is shining as the group departs carrying their haul of goods to sell at Fentonville. After a tearful good bye from the orc tribe the group begins their journey back. The town is roughly 70 miles away and you all take your time to note the landmarks while sketching the terrain east of the Coast Road. Once back on the road travel is quicker and you are able to make it back to Fentonville in 7 days time. Dwarfs are slow and steady. Once on the road you are able to join up with a small caravan heading towards the town. The task master is more than happy to share his food and drink, in exchange for tales and your arms. He even offers to buy you a few drink at the Slywink once in town.
The town is bustling as you stroll in mid morning, foot sore and needing a keg of the finest honey spiced ale known in Golarion.
Where are you heading first? There is town map in the Campaign Info Tab, under the Settlement and Establishment spoiler.
Grungsdi |
dm I assume we have taken the stuff we failed to appraise since it was in a locked chest though I suspect we get killed in value is that accurate
Karnog Kegmeister |
Yeah, I'm good with us losing a bit of gp for increased goodwill with the orc tribe.
Karnog Kegmeister |
"I think we should stop by and say hello to Nib and Varl, then hit up the 'Wink for some beverages. I will definitely need to spend some time in prayer in the morning, but I dont expect any of you to want to stick around for that."
Karnog smiles with the prospect of some good food and cold mead.
"And we should certainly speak with our esteemed patron, perhaps we can get him out of the shop and talk over a meal?"
baldwin the merciful |
I was just goofing off with the sorry rolls. Take the items they are quite valuable. Karnog if you leave the orcs 100 - 200 gold they will gladly obey your every command. Taht is more than enough for to let the get food supplies. You couls always drop by with BOH filled with food. you need to come back this way to get to the Graveyard if you are heading there. You want to take the chest too!
Chest - adamantine hinges and broken lock 1000 GP, The aquamarine ring 1000GP, red dragon comb 500 GP, gold anklet 500 GP
Karnog Kegmeister |
Certainly! I will gladly pay them.our of my treasure...perhaps I can find a magic item like a decanter of endless water or something similar. And BOH full of food/supplies seems like a worthy investment.
Nib Grumepgarth, NPC |
The group heads to see Varl and Nib Grung - they were original players that I NPC now - Varl is blacksmith dawarf and nib is halfling bard.
"Howdy! My my, everyone still alive....my gnomish luck must be with you." The verbose halfling looks at Grung. "More Dwarfs! Did they empty a mine Varl, look here another dwarf." A broad smile crosses his face as he pours a few tankards at the smith's shop, "I know you must be thirsty, and I'm curious about what LOOT you have." His eyes sparkle.
Karnog Kegmeister |
Oh, shiny. Grab it and bring it back to Nib! Seems to have worked so far.
Nib Grumepgarth, NPC |
"Kalim I was thinking about you when the last caravan came through. I placed a small deposit for you at Quint's a nice pendant to help with your armor."
Amulet of natural armor +1 or +2 which ever you want. It can be ring, brooch, what ever body slot you want. Doesn't matter for me.
he studies the small orc chest. "Nice quality and nasty glyph of warding," His eyebrow raises. "Lucky you didn't set that off... where'd you get? gonna have to dispel that to get to the hardware."
Nib Grumepgarth, NPC |
"Yes the lawful one does watch over the group and I see he favors you with great wealth." The gnome I erred Nib's a gnome not a halfling has his magnifying spectacle in his eye as he studies the aquamarine gem from retrieved from the orcs. He edifies you about the true value of the those items the group could not appraise.
Karnog Kegmeister |
"Always a joy to see you both. Boy do we have a story to tell...but not during business hours. Over drinks, later! So, Nib, any nice armor or shields roll through town lately? Especially the shiny magical kind? I just so happen to have a few coins to spend." Karnog smiles and greets his friends warmly, honestly happy to be in the company of comrades and not among monsters and dungeons.
Felicitas Sweetfingers |
Taking her time in the hot tube, Felicitas returns to the common room for her dinner. Wearing decent clothes, she still catches many a breath in the room, wearing not only a silver shimmering circlet and holding a strange but beautifully crafted hurdy gurdy, but having a tiny butterfly winged dragon sitting on her reinforced shoulder. Adressing the tavern maid she orders her food.
"Lovely maid, we would like to have a mug and a cup of your famous mead and the dish of the day. Two plates please."
Grungsdi |
Not looking for much myself. Would be interested in getting stronger enchantments on me armor, shield and Croaker...
Aurora the Fairydragon |
Karnog Kegmeister |
"I shall have to check out the wares, then. Like Grungsdi, I need to upgrade this old armor; it's beginning to get banged up."
Varl, NPC |
At this point up to +2 enchantments on armor or shield, and certain +1 special abilities.
"Whatcha looking for with your enchantments, we've a new spellcaster that may be able to give y'bump. He's sort of finicky at time's" The dwarf gulps down the next tankard of ale., then releases a huge belch followed by a rear toot. "Guud stuff th't is." He pounds on his chest reasing a bit more air. "Yeah, he comes around to enchant some of me blades."
Jenar Hickory |
As the barkeep pours a tankard of honey spiced ale, he smiles a bit speechless at the human. He fumbles with the foam. Another female steps up and take the tankard form him, "I got this and don't mind him. I'm Jenar, proprietor the wink and yes , we've nice room with tub for you." She slides the tankard to Felicitas.
Karnog Kegmeister |
That amount was figured with a 6 way split, since Vatilda was with us through the acquisition even if the player/PC bailed
Kalim Gudlavaletti |
"Many thanks, Nib. I will wear this proudly, and hopefully for a long time. There's another item I hope you have, a Jingasa from my homeland."
Basically, can Kalim buy this: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/h-l/jinga sa-of-the-fortunate-soldier
Karnog Kegmeister |
Yup. 6644gp & change each, after all is sold. Plus you're holding one of the Bags of Holdi Holding Type II. Grungsdi has the other.
Grungsdi |
I think Grung and Aurora will have a delightful relationship
Mmmm, not sure we made enough to pay for a further enchantment on me ax...unless I can pay you when we come back? I have heard of a magic that when you hit a foe the weapon will immediately attack another next to it! mighty cleaving.
Felicitas Sweetfingers |
With a smile Felicitas pets the dragon."Yes we will!
Adressing Jenar:" well met and a delicious ale. May I introduce myself, my name is Felicitas called Sweetfingers. I just came to your lovely town and now I want to spend a few moments of peace before I have to find a new assignment."
baldwin the merciful |
"haven't seen one of those Jingsa's myself Kalim, but go the Owl's Place, they may have one for you."
Kalim they will have one for you, or we can roleplay it out.
Grung you previously mentioned wanting a Jingsa from you wishlist, there is one more available at this time. Two of these items is the limit that they would have at one time. That not to say there won't be others available in the dungeon and what not.
Grungsdi |
yes i do want that too...hmmm. choices. I should probably get the jingasa.
On th'other hand. I could use a better helmet...I better get that first. Not much good holding the line if I get me brains knocked out
Jenar Hickory |
As the small dragon flaps and rolls around in joy, the tavern own pulls points to a large honey pot behind the bar. She step over back and grabs a large soup bowl, then ladles three large scoops into the bowl, smiling as she places it on the bar in front of the dragon.
"Perhaps this will satisfy your sweet tooth for a bit." She reachs and scratches his chin.
Turning her attention to Felicitas, "So what brings you to Fentonville?"
Grungsdi |
i will just assume i buy the jingasa...i want to go to the pub!
Grung makes his way back from purchasing his new shiny helmet. And bursts into the tavern.
Barkeep! I need 4 tankards o' ale! I need to celebrate being alive and me shiny new helmet!
He plops down on a stool next to the dragon.
Grungsdi |
Grung downs his first tankards. Then whips off his helm.
fill this with your finest!
He turns and notices he dragon... barkeep there is a lizard eaton yer honey!
Karnog Kegmeister |
"Aye! Ale, mead, soup, and meat, please. In that order, if you will."
Karnog arrives after Grungsdi, resplendent in clerical vestments over shiny new (magical) full-plate.
"What do you think? Fits like a charm and should work even better in battle. Plus he gave me a good bit of coin for the trade of my old suit."
