I've really enjoyed running this mini-cave adventure. The terrain/environment was challenging, interesting traps, there where several unique foes (goblin bard, fiendish-goblin antipaladin, goblin rangers, mimic and more challenging goblins overall). The cave made the PCs think about how to attack. This has served as a good introduction to RA, which requires a tremendous amount of PC thinking to survive.

Argrim |

Argrim - it is a cloak of protection +1 to AC, not a cloak of resistance. Malcolm will likely be our "tank" so it probably should go to him.
Probably, but we should still discuss the loot split. Should we divide by current players? Or should be some how favor the original group? However, with Nibb, Varl, and Ramm not taking a share, then letting Malcolm and Sheyan have an equal share still increases the share of loot going to the original group members compared to including Nibb, Varl, and Ramm.
Then, the question is should we equate the magic weapons in sell value that we're taking into the share calculations? So magic weapons & items can be bought at the sell-value from your share of the loot. This way spell-casters don't get shafted for not taking a magic weapon.

Malcolm Cavendish |

Agrim - as for the Cloak, since it is Resistance, then I agree with your assessment, but that is not what it originally said. I will gladly give the proceeds for the sale of my MW Bastard Sword and Light Crossbow to the group proceeds.

Karnog Kegmeister |

I get resistance from my domain automatically, so that's a non-issue for me.
1d8 ⇒ 7 HP

Malcolm Cavendish |

@Agrim: Please mark off the following from your loot sheet as taken by Malcolm.
+1 Bastard Sword
MW Light Crossbow
7 +1 Bolts (I will share these if anyone else has an interest.)
You can also add the price for selling a MW Bastard Sword and a standard Light Crossbow into the party cash.

Karnog Kegmeister |

I will take the warhammer, adding in a masterwork one for party loots.
I have no need for the cloak, so that should go to someone else.
Unless anyone else wants the buckler badly, I will hold onto that, as well.
If anyone else wants to carry the CMW wand, have at it, otherwise I will take it.
I think the paladin should wear the phylactery of faithfulness, everything else is pretty much meh for me.

Vatilda Lateef |

I think I have the lowest saves at the moment, so I guess I'd take the cloak.
+1 heavy mace
2 CLW potions
... and the 2 shard gels if no one else thinks they'd use them.
EDIT... err wait Kalim has the worst saves. He should take the cloak

Argrim |

In absence of any comments, I'm making the decision to divide equal shares of the loot between the current players. The loot will include all cash and non-consumable magic items. Players will buy their magic items at (half) sell value from their share of the loot. Consumables including wands, potions, scrolls, and alchemics will not be cashed and instead be distributed relatively evenly to everyone.
I'll start doing the math tonight. Object before tomorrow morning or forever hold your peace.

Malcolm Cavendish |

I am confused on the process or the reasoning. Malcolm, Karnog, Vatilda and yourself have already claimed items from the loot. Those certainly should NOT be included in your process. For anything unclaimed, I have no thoughts other than DM input, which has been provided regarding the magic weapons and two other select items. Are you suggesting selling everything, splitting the money and then buying at the sales price? That seems fairly complicated. If you want to do that after taking out that which was claimed, then that should be voted upon, not done unilaterally.

Vatilda Lateef |

I think he means... when we tally up our loot, we add up the worth of everything (selling price = the 50% amount you would get if you were to sell to the merchant).
Then split the money, and buy from the loot what we want to take.
That is what is done "on paper"
The result in game... you get your share of everything which will be sold minus the selling price of the items you take for yourself.

Karnog Kegmeister |

If you want to handle the math in such a setup, Argrim, I have no objection.
I would like to suggest consumables such as the Cure wands, potions and the like be excluded & distributed to where they are most needed, at the least.
As far as the items remaining, I am interested in the mithral chainshirt and the phylactery now that our generous and kindly gm has warned us of the potential for alignment shenanigans.

Argrim |

I didn't get to the math last night. Would appreciate hearing from Kalim.
Yes, Karnog I would exclude consumables from the loot calculation. I'm NOT going to include the phylactery or light cap in the loot calculation, because no one would take them without the GM hint. Karnog, please carry the phylactery.
Some Human should wear the light cap.
cheers

Vatilda Lateef |

I'm taking the light cantrip this level up.
I'm not wearing a candle on my head... though it would be pretty cool if I could tease my hair up around it...
I can carry though for someone to take later if no one wants to wear it.

You can 'buy' items at their listed cost with your share of the loot. I also listed the waterproof scroll case for an interested spell-caster, but you could also 'buy' the Ivory baby rattle, if it flips your switch.
For the consumables, just volunteer to take what you want. Everyone gets 4 potions of CLW, in addition to ones issued earlier to the original crew.
EDIT: All GM actions included and updated here and my profile. Thanks!
Remember the "cash" of your share of the loot will be banked at Fentonville and carried with you.

Thanks Agrim for doing the math and taking the lead there. I'll cash out the remaining items in little while.
Yes, the spear with the cold iron tip was intended for Kalim. He has two +1 weapons, boar spear and the spear. One is bracing weapon and one can be thrown. I wanted to give him some versatility if forced into a non-magic using situation.

Karnog Kegmeister |

I'm cool with the assortment above.
I can take the CMW wand unless vatilda or malcolm want some healing ability.
So I owe 2k $ of I'm reading this correctly.

baldwin the merciful |

Argrim would 'buy' the Claws of Ice Bear if no one else is interested.
I thought those were pretty interesting when I was going through the magic equipment lists. I was putting together a random assortment of stuff that represented most wondrous body slots. I'm not implying you'll need them, just they were a fun little minor magic item.

Huh? You start with 3076.59 gp as your share of the grand total. Deduct from that anything you 'buy'. So you've 'bought' 2k leaving you 1,076.59 of cash. The balance will be banked in Fentonville.
cheers

Karnog Kegmeister |

Roger, was saying that but wrote badly.
Thanks for handling math times, Argrim.

So everyone gets their bearings straight - Fentonville is the basic home base, place to rest and buy/sell items. There is a "small" trading town that Thomas the merchant just mentioned called Zelkor's Ferry to the West that he would have mentioned is up river and in the DragonMarsh Lowland. He had just loaded a ferry that was heading to Zelkor's Ferry before he was ambushed. He would point it out on a map to you.
