Ah, that's true....

So he does throw off the coils, and then rips MJ apart!

Not in this case. He rolls, and if he passes I use an ability that makes him re-roll. He failed on the first, surged to pass. I used an ability to make him re-roll at that point. It's not a "roll twice take the lowest" thing, it's a "If you pass I can burn Mythic power to make you re-roll" thing.

Edit: NVM. I was wrong.

Poor MJ! I can picture you picking up and laying down his token figure over and over again!

Hmmm, yes.... This is true.... The order of events is key here.... Marcus would only force the re-roll after Ithaqua surged to make the first save....

So, Ithaqua is bound in the crushing coils conjured by Marcus, and MJ suffers no attacks from the Old One, and is therefore alive! =)

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Actually, no, I was mistaken. It is a roll twice take the lowest thing, I have to pick when I cast the spell. I got it and Persistent mixed up in my head. =(

LOL!! Exactly.... It appears that MJ is, in fact, dead.... Lays token flat for third time....

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

Of greater immediate concern.... Ithaqua is free to take his second turn of actions at the end of the round!

In the Hall of Sif on Asgard, Sif and her Valkyries gasp in shock and grief as Mikey Jay is terrible rended apart on Midgard by the wicked Ithaqua!

Alas! Poor Mikey Jay! exclaims the goddess of battle-skill....

Shall I bear Mikey Jay here, My Goddess?

Ulfrid eagerly kneels before Sif....

Nay, Ulfrid.... Not yet.... Mikey Jay's companions possess the power to restore life to the fallen.... They may yet have need of so brave a warrior.... If they burn him on a pyre, or send him to sea on a barque, thou shalt bring him hither!

Ulfrid bows her winged-helmed head....

Yes, My Goddess....

After Koran, and assuming that Koran just dished out a butt-load of hurtin' on him with Mjolnir:

Bite on Koran 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31 deals 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (6, 5) + 11 = 22 plus 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 1) = 8 cold damage....

Claw on Koran 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (16) + 28 = 44 deals 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 1) + 11 = 14 plus 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 2) = 11 cold damage....

Block one of Koran's attacks 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31....

72 total damage (less Koran's DR and resistances, if any)....

Male Human (Dwarfblood/Infused) Inquistor 12/ Paladin of Vengence 4 / Chevalier 3| Mythic Guardian-Champion 9 (Lvl 19)

Plus rend and another Bite, if not on Koran just move it to Derrik

Azimuth!
Radsworth! Winston the grizzly bear!
Mikey Jay!
Levinson! Summoned horn devil! Mahatma! Etcetera!

Rend on Koran deals 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 rending damage plus 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 2) = 9 cold damage!

Male Great Old One Outsider 30

Feral savage bite on Derrik 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (1) + 28 = 29 doesn't auto miss due to mythic ability always a chance, plus two power points to maximize surge for +11, deals 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (4, 7) + 11 = 22 plus 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 3) = 10 cold damage!

Female Human Summoner 11 / Diabolist 1 | Mythic Archmage-Guardian 4 (Lvl 12)

"Cornugon, Quickly, attack the beast!" Levinson levels Faust at the Wind-Walker launching a Flamestrike, and relying on Mahatma's magical tusks orders, "Charge!"

Flamestrike (DC 20): 15d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 2, 6, 1, 5, 5, 3, 1, 5, 3, 6, 5, 3) = 62

Close.... So close! But no cigar....

Ithaqua resists the magic of the infernal Rod....unless you want to burn a surge?

Female Human Summoner 11 / Diabolist 1 | Mythic Archmage-Guardian 4 (Lvl 12)

If I can still burn a surge to boost that roll...
Surge!: 1d6 ⇒ 4 = 39

Male Great Old One Outsider 30

Ithaqua's SR is 36....surge granted!

Ithaqua is burnt by the searing hellfire!

Reflex save vs DC 20 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25 succeeds.... Ithaqua is still burnt for 45 fire damage!

RRRRAAAAARRRRRGGHH!!!!

Male Great Old One Outsider 30

Ithaqua is down 182 hp, and can't regenerate this round thanks to Levinson's flame strike!

Derrik responds with a a simultaneous strike, Slicing at Ithaqua's jaw as his mouth bit down, The creature distracted by multitude of allies afforded to the FO's. He becomes a torrent of death slicing every which way, carving Ithaqua up, alternating between Excalibur and Dawnbringer, burning everything he had in this final assault, finding every kink he could in the creatures defenses.

He's grimacing in mortal agony.... Near death.... Vital organs popping out to see what's up and the like....

Human Dark Tapestry Oracle 15; Mythic Hierophant Tier 6; HP: 114/114

Coo'. Debating whether it's worth it to cast another spell then. I need like a 19 to pass his SR even with Piercing.

Edit: Ah, screw it. I like to live dangerously.

Marcus goes for the more direct approach this time.

"BURN BABY BURN!" he crows, burning more Mythic power to cast a Flamestrike.

SR: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

Yer kiddin' me

Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 1

13d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 4, 1, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 6, 4) = 39

Radsworth focuses, using Chesterfield to try and pierce through Ithiqua's godlike spell resistance. He takes a brief moment to steady shaking hands and wipe the sweat from his brow. Traveler's distinct whine picks up as arcane energy crackles through a holy round in the chamber.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Holy Round: 1d8 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 5 + (6, 4) = 20

(65 Damage as I see it.)
(SR 38 + Piercing, or 43 realistically.)

"Again Chesterfield!"

Radsworth implores the hat's help again, this time using his metamagic support for a quickened spell, a massive explosion of flames which seek to engulf and consume Ithiqua.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Corrosive Round: 1d8 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + (2) + 5 = 8

Totally forgot Daisy's contingent channel energy when MJ drops....

7d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 5, 2, 4, 1) = 24 healing to all FOs within 30 ft of Daisy....

This does not save MJ from death, but it is extra hp for the others....

Male Great Old One Outsider 30

Traveler's round rips into the eye socket of the Old One....

Radsworth's arcane might surges, channelled through his shot....

Ithaqua's stag-skull head splits apart with an explosion of lightning bolts....

The FOs would each receive an obscene amount of XP--72,800 each. If this amount of XP would cause the FOs to advance to 12th level, they are instead 11th level, and have the XP needed to advance to 12th level on the fast track, -1.

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

I'm considering this victory the equivalent of 2 mythic challenges completed.

Each FO gains mythic tier 3 when Ithaqua falls....

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

And I assume 11th level, and then some....

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

Each FO has a new XP total of 104,999.... We are 11th level, 3rd mythic tier, and 1 XP away from leveling to 12th level....

Levinson felt a bizarre surge in power as her link to Kepler grew even stronger. She toppled over in brief pain as the back of her shirt and coat ripped open allowing the newly formed giant bird of prey wings to extend out fully.

After a brief moment of disbelief and testing her control over them, the professor seemed confident that they could easily support her for flight as they matched the shape and pattern of her Eidolon's own wings, only scaled to her frame.

She leaped off the back of Mahatma and quickly took flight: Fly: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
