He would be fine he rolls twice then he surges.. As in he would do those two rolls first..
Not in this case. He rolls, and if he passes I use an ability that makes him re-roll. He failed on the first, surged to pass. I used an ability to make him re-roll at that point. It's not a "roll twice take the lowest" thing, it's a "If you pass I can burn Mythic power to make you re-roll" thing.
Edit: NVM. I was wrong.

Hmmm, yes.... This is true.... The order of events is key here.... Marcus would only force the re-roll after Ithaqua surged to make the first save....
So, Ithaqua is bound in the crushing coils conjured by Marcus, and MJ suffers no attacks from the Old One, and is therefore alive! =)

Ithaqua the Wind-Walker |

After Koran, and assuming that Koran just dished out a butt-load of hurtin' on him with Mjolnir:
Bite on Koran 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31 deals 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (6, 5) + 11 = 22 plus 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 1) = 8 cold damage....
Claw on Koran 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (16) + 28 = 44 deals 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 1) + 11 = 14 plus 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 2) = 11 cold damage....
Claw on Koran 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (11) + 28 = 39 deals 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 1) + 11 = 14 plus 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 1) = 13 cold damage....
Block one of Koran's attacks 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31....
72 total damage (less Koran's DR and resistances, if any)....

Ithaqua resists the magic of the infernal Rod....unless you want to burn a surge?

Derrik Stonesmith |

Derrik responds with a a simultaneous strike, Slicing at Ithaqua's jaw as his mouth bit down, The creature distracted by multitude of allies afforded to the FO's. He becomes a torrent of death slicing every which way, carving Ithaqua up, alternating between Excalibur and Dawnbringer, burning everything he had in this final assault, finding every kink he could in the creatures defenses.

Marcus Greer |

Coo'. Debating whether it's worth it to cast another spell then. I need like a 19 to pass his SR even with Piercing.
Edit: Ah, screw it. I like to live dangerously.
Marcus goes for the more direct approach this time.
"BURN BABY BURN!" he crows, burning more Mythic power to cast a Flamestrike.

Radsworth |

Radsworth focuses, using Chesterfield to try and pierce through Ithiqua's godlike spell resistance. He takes a brief moment to steady shaking hands and wipe the sweat from his brow. Traveler's distinct whine picks up as arcane energy crackles through a holy round in the chamber.

Prof. Naomi Levinson |

Levinson felt a bizarre surge in power as her link to Kepler grew even stronger. She toppled over in brief pain as the back of her shirt and coat ripped open allowing the newly formed giant bird of prey wings to extend out fully.
After a brief moment of disbelief and testing her control over them, the professor seemed confident that they could easily support her for flight as they matched the shape and pattern of her Eidolon's own wings, only scaled to her frame.
She leaped off the back of Mahatma and quickly took flight: Fly: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
"Well, this is kind of cool... So how about we take care of the rest of those weresquatches?"

Mikey Jay |

After about a minute of Marcus beating on MJ's chest with the Caduceus and shouting "clear!", Mikey Jay gasps and sits up, rubbing his sore chest....
Ow!!.... What happened? Did I.... Was I....? Did you kill Ithaqua!?.... Holy s##@.... Levinson has wings now!?
