I feel the same as Al'Torac. I failed you, Fierce Ones. My blade made only a single cut, and then I perished like a gnat in the flame.... I shall stay with my people in Alfheim and nurse my deep shame, giving what protection I can to the Navajo people and the elves against whatever terrors stalk their world of the Fey....

Yingzen bows deeply before all the Fierce Ones, and then retreats to a quiet place in the Castle to reflect and meditate on the ways of Death....

Yingzen's broken body drops into the churning sea after Al'Torac, both sinking to a briny grave....

Yingzen leaps free of the broken body of the gold dragon, hovering above the frothy sea....

Yingzen holds his turn until al'Torac flies him closer....

Thank you, sir dragon!

Yingzen leaps onto Al'Torac the gold dragon's back and prepares to ride into combat like a dragon knight of legend....

Yingzen successfully finds and disables five different traps within the vault, each one warding a case in a concentric series. The smallest, inner case within the vault contains a ruddy metallic stone the size of a small apple--The Philosopher's Stone!

Right. Stay back, friends....

The tengu carefully scrutinizes the interior of the vault, looking for telltale signs of trap triggers....

Perception to detect traps 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (18) + 25 = 43

Yingzen remains hidden for now....

Yingzen slides on down to the ring-kissin-for-wishes-from-Jesus line and pays homage with a beaky peck on the Papal Signet Ring....

....and The Lord Christ responds by granting him a wish!

Yingzen, not wishing to expose himself to the veil by rushing up to the devils, and predicting the devils will rush the FOs current position by the obelisk, decides to conceal himself behind the obelisk and launch a sneak attack on the first devil that gets close enough....

Yingzen closes his eyes and begins an inventory of his past experiences in his current incarnation as a Tengu.... Training in swordplay under elven masters in Alfheim.... Feeling an outsider in spite of the kindness of the elves.... Learning to be still and listen with supernatural acuity, and then to move with sudden, lightning speed....

Then a period of dissolution into the elements.... A peaceful lack of being....

I am the youngest of the Musketeers, but yet I am the finest swordsman among them.... My adventures on behalf of the King of France have been chronicled by Monsiuer Victor Hugo.... I am D'Artagnan, the Fourth Musketeer! I fought to free the Man in the Iron Mask.... And I will fight to free all who suffer under the yoke of oppression! All for one, and one for all!

A period of blissful nothingness....

I killed my first man at 13.... By 16, I had learned to fight.... There is a ring around me.... A ring of death.... If my enemy steps within my ring of death, he will die.... I am Myamoto Musashi.... Samurai.... Kensai.... Author of The Five Rings, in which I delineate the art of killing with a sword.... I have never met my match with the blade....

Blissful, infinite space....

I am the clever one, the stealthy one, the wise one.... I am the trickster.... Raven is my name.... The people of the Great Land worship me as a god for my cunning and lore.... I taught them many secrets.... I have returned to help the people!

Then it is over....

Flanking now with Derrik (and likely Koran), Yingzen brandishes the Dawnsaber....

Sneaky flanking slash 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (17) + 22 = 39 plus surge 1d6 ⇒ 2 just cuts the butter! Dealing 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 slashing plus 5d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 2, 3) = 15 sneak attack damage....

Waiting til after Derrik strikes, then moving into flank:

Springing from the shadows at the Old One's shaggy back....
Sneaky Dawnsaber 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25 fails to penetrate Ithaqua's stone-hard hide....

Yingzen flies up into the canopy of the forest, 30 ft off the ground, and melts into shadow....

Yingzen moves within striking range, flanking a bloodied weresquatch with MJ....

Yingzen flies silently through the canopy of the trees and over the line if weresquatches to the west, landing 15 ft behind them with a double move....
