GM, if the elemental was 9 HD or less, it should be 2d4 rounds of blindness and apply the unconscious condition as well.
Huge elementals have 10 HD unfortunately.
As Ajax's cat races upwards to bite at the elemental, the archer unloads a trio of arrows into it himself. Unable to see where the attacks are coming from to dodge away, the outsider seems far easier to hit, but it's strange composition continues to mute some of the attacks' effectiveness.
Ajax, I don't see you having Clustered Shots, is that correct (so the DR would apply to each arrow)?

Correct, no clustered shot.
Oh, and since Ara was using Spring Attack, I meant to move her back 5' after the attack. i'll do that now on the map. She just got this level and I keep forgetting to post she's using it.

Anail prepares for the inevitable confrontation with Galdron by retrieving, then drinking his elixir of spirit sight.

Huge elementals have 10 HD unfortunately.
Missed it by that much.
Seeing that the elemental is at least blinded, Theriahm wraps his cloak tighter and speaks a magical word, allowing him to overcome his lame leg temporarily.
Theriahm will use the expeditious retreat ability of his cloak of the night sky and move towards the larger melee.

GM Zoomba |

As Anail makes ready for one final push, the elemental slams twice at the square Ara bit it from, only to yell in fury as its blows fail to connect.
The other elemental, on your side, has just enough to time to look at the ghost before crumbling into a pile of rocks, which then vanish themselves.
Rasamoro: at the beginning of your turn, unless you are shutting your eyes entirely, you take damage: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 9) = 14 and will need a Fort save or take Charisma damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 this round.

The first of Rasamoro's blows strieks the spectral Galdorn but the other two attempts glance away harmlessly, one due to the ghost's solid armor, the other due to an intangible force protecting him.

10d6 TOUCH ATTACK?! WHAT?!
Ghost's don't play.
Theriahm wall of fire: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 4) + 9 = 16Rasamoro gaze: 2d10 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Theriahm rushes forward, getting singed and then healing much of it. The half-elf emerges just in time to watch three ringing blows from Rasamoro and several arrows from Roland land decisively on Galdron.
The ghost staggers backwards, stunned. His form begins to flicker, with the flames dancing across his spectral body slowly dying. A he stares out at you with a solemn expression" as the fire leaking from his eyes vanishes to reveal milky green orbs.
[b]"So, I fall again." he quietly speaks as tears drops sizzling down his cheeks. He looks down at his form, lingerings on the armor he bears and the spear in his hand. "Of course. This form, my original self, in returning to it I forgot who I had later become. And why."
Galdron tosses aside his shortspear towards Anail, as the armor passes through him to land on the ground with a thud. The ghost reaches up a hand to clutch at his chest and pulls. His arm seems to pull the flames themselves from his body and closing his fist the raging fires compress until they form a glimmering red gem. Galdron tosses this too aside and floats towards the altar.
"Peace is not prevented by weapons, or armor. It is threatened by succumbing to wrath. I see this now once more. My anger caused me to lose sight of this truth, but you have reminded me that rage cannot build up something better, but only tear down and destroy those who give in to it. I will now protect this Green Market, as others must find their own unity, unmotivated by fear."
Galdron lifts his arm as if saluting you with a spear before sinking and melding into the stone table.
COMBAT (tough one too) OVER!!!

Around you, the area is for a moment still with only Galdron's spear, the red gem, and several glowing drops of the ghost's 'blood' coalesced into gold beads standing out amongst the monochrome background.

"Much glory today. Praise Gorum!"
Rasamoro drops the staff, draws his sword, and begins banging on his chest as he screams prayers in honor of one of his most glorious battles to date.
Once his prayers to the Lord in Iron are complete, he sheaths his weapons and begins collecting the remains of the ghost.
That was a fun battle!

"My only regret is that we weren't able to persuade him with words, but had to resort to strength of arms. However, I'm glad the Market will thrive in its current form. Moreover, that was educational. I'll start writing the report for the Venture-Captain."

GM Zoomba |

As Roland and the rest collect the objects left by Galdron, the scene around the market begins to flicker and warp once again. The seven (now eight) of you find yourselves suddenly back in the Green Market on the Material Plane, where Zeeva stares at you worriedly.
"Oh dear, you all look like you've been through Hell! What happened? You just left a minute ago and then the altar flashed and now you're back."

![]() |

"Oh, so we met Galdron, but not the Galdrin the pacifist that everyone was talking about but more like Galdron the angry burning ghost with elementals that are also burning and that want you to burn you too and we tried to talk to him but i think rasamoro did a bit to much of the talking and by talkin i mean hitting with a stick and so we kinda fought him and then when rasamoro hit him with the stick enough he said he would stop fighting everyone and protect the market instead and then he turned his fire into gems and we came back. I think i need to lie down for a bit."

![]() |

Roland adds to Whitwood's account.
We had hoped to come to zhe peaceful settlement, but he would have none of it. It remains to be seen if zhis will solve the problem with zhe Market. I am not sure zhis solves anything for your Aspis problem unfortunately.

![]() |

Theriahm will walk around, touching everyone for healing as his spells remain.
"Yes, Ms. Foxglove, thank your stars you were not brought into the netherworld to face him, he had...issues. I'm glad the Society could be of use to you this day."

![]() |

Rasamoro looks very pleased with Whitwood's account of the events, a lipless smile spread on his face. At the mention of the stick, he draws it and shows it to Zeeva (just in case she was confused as to which stick).

GM Zoomba |

"Well, with all you've endured my little Aspis issue seems rather small now." Zeeva says sheepishly. "But if there was a restless spirit on the property this whole time, well thanks don't begin to cover it if you helped put it to rest."
"Please, go back and rest. I can get you some rooms at the Frisky Unicorn, my treat of course. Spend some time ejoying Korvosa, and please visit before you have to go back south."
----
After a few days, as the Grand Lodge begins to summon you back to report, the six of you make one last visit to Zeeva's marketplace to check in and say goodbye. Jumping out amongst the crowded stalls and shoppers is Galdron's altar, now standing fully unearthed and restored as the centerpiece of a fountain shrine. You also notice the crowd seems to have several more Shoanti faces amongst the shoppers as Zeeva happily waves to you and moves over towards your party.
"Oh hello! It's good to see you all again! Do you like the fountain? I consulted with Telmayne to come up with an appropriate recognition."
"And you'll be happy to know I haven't had any threats or warnings or even visits from that scandalous Consortium since you arrived. It looks like the bullies weren't willing to pick on a business that has allies - though I do wonder if the reports of giant plant monsters and ghosts and hauntings may also be giving them pause." Miss Foxglove smiles. "I certainly am not complaining."
