The table I am playing in, (I think) just killed the Assassin and has one more cultist left to deal with. So we'll probably be on the waves tomorrow.

![]() |

And we are up to the assassin at my table at last. Although most of the party is still in the chase.

GM Hmm |

Go team! It is good to see everyone dealing capably with their adversaries! So glad your player got better, Lady Ladile!
Hmm

![]() |

So, I was totally wrong about my table... and how annoying the assassin encounter could be. They are dealing with a lot of stuff on the table.

![]() |

ok, here's an interesting turn of events. They used baleful polymorph on the assassin. The runecarved key is held in a handy haversack.
Sigh. High level shenanigans.

Perhaps it was luck, but my table had a rogue with greater invisibility, a ridiculously high perception, blessing of fervor, and his primary weapon is adamantine! They manage to take down the assassin with the last possible action of round 2. But this is after after they proned, disarmed, glitterdusted (the second time).
I was really worried for that 8 cultist! They didn't fare very well in the church...

![]() |

So, really the question is, do they un-polymorph the assassin in time to get the key, for the points.
I am expecting they do not get key points if they do not actually recover the key, regardless of whether they have defeated the assassin.

![]() |

They should fail for being too powerful

GM Poblano Pepper |

And so begins the chase scene for my players.
I have a new found respect for caster classes. I have never had more fun as a GM looking at all the fun I could pull off. Although I never did get the chance to cast those summoning scrolls v_v
Anyways here we go.

![]() |

Well, they don’t need help. ;)
They can dispel the polymorph, and deal with the assassin. It was their choice, and they red to live with it. Just saying, they specifically asked if hey could see the key right before that spell was used, and I told them, non, but you can see a really nice backpack.

Now tracking at least 6 parties in the end combat waves.
After adjusting for a couple of days bump to the right in Act 2, I'm tracking for a 01 March conclusion. It is presently 11pm on 21st Feb, so that leaves us just over a week to the conclusion.
In the next 24-48 hours I'm hoping to have boon details forthcoming - more to follow. Apologies for the delay there, I know the question pops up.

GM Hmm |

Shifty, no worries. We know the delay was not on your end.
Third wave down! I haven’t taken my “didn’t tap out” points because Redelia got there ahead of me, and I think her little 3-4 table deserves to take the key for leading the way here.
Hmm

![]() |

Funny... my table is just now hitting the waves. I would not be surprised if the Xacarba (a CR15 outsider) lasts but one initiative tick, though.

![]() |
Meanwhile some of us are trying to catch the assassin lol.
I should think my table is doing fine though a little slow due to bad skill checks.

GM Ladile |

I'm pretty confident my table will finish the assassin off today and be able to start on the waves. If anything I'm sure they'll appreciate the breather to patch up and prepare; the cathedral fight + the assassin fight have been pretty rough for them.

GM Hmm |

Your speed bump was my table's epic fight that took every resource they had left...
They prospered though!

![]() |

APL19 vs APL11, sure, makes sense.
A CR15 critter should be tough for them! :D

Shifty |

Hi all.
As we are rapidly approaching the end, now is a good time to talk end of event administration.
REPORTING
*I have added you all as reporters for the event. You should be able to find the event and input your tables details.
* GM's are to issue chronicle sheets to players.
Event details
Event name: PbP Community Multi Table Special III
Event number: #158,592
REWARDS!
Thanks Jesse and Hmm
* We have GM boons, which I will issue out to each of you.
* We have Gift Certificates, which I will do an open roll for in here for tables 1-16+HQ (Overseer & relief GMs)
* We have player boons.
Player boons should be rolled in your tables OOC, and should be rolled (for consistency) by the GM. I suggest using the following format, with the players rolled in alphabetical order, and a 1d3 rolled for any winners.
[EXAMPLE]
GM
Player Name 1
Player Name 2
Player Name 3
Player Name 4
Player Name 5
Player Name 6
A 1 or a 20 wins a prize.
[/EXAMPLE]
Please provide a link to any winning rolls in this thread so I can contact the winner and send them their boon, and I can then reply to all actioned posts (and allows good accounting at the end!)

Kramac won Boon #1 at my table. (Link)

![]() |
Like Redelia, I used Init order to determine rolls.
I'm pleased to report a winner, Omrijka.
Boon 2
The assassin was killed while invisible though. Just a note.

GM Poblano Pepper |

No boons won at my table, someone got real close with a 19, the rest were all mid area.

GM Hmm |
3 people marked this as a favorite. |

All this clamor, this crazy race
For a old key carved in rune...
Punching cultists in the face
Wond’ring if the fight ends soon?
Nine waves have been shown their place
And my player Yanndu won a boon!

![]() |

There are somehow two winners at my table, one of them being myself. Congrats Mr. Peppers!

![]() |

Sigh... No winners from my table. Looks like my bad luck is still dogging my from the last special. No players won anything in all the games I GM'ed then. :P

GM Poblano Pepper |

Yay my table made it to the assassin.
Thank you GM Kuey for the Chase Map it helped out immensely.

I note that the same player on my table won two gift vouchers. Can I suggest that either the player is picked again or the whole table / player is rerolled?
Or I'm sure they will be happy getting two vouchers.

Shifty |

Yeah was just getting through those...

I'll be contacting all the players in the next 48 hours, you can let your tables know if they have winners at the table or not, I just need to transcribe all the names.
Tonight I'm sending out all the GM Boons, and beginning reporting (Overseer & relief GMs)
Edit: All GM boons distributed. Please check your PMs.
I'm tracking that the only paperwork I need to complete now is distribution of Gift certs to the winners, and Post Activity reporting back to the RVC & OPC. If I owe you anything, please send me a message!

My tier 1-2 table steamrolled through wave 1 and 2, but yeth hounds for wave 3 (which is the first wave for tier 5-6) sent 4 of the characters panicking with their baying, leaving just the 2 gnomes. :P So it is a tap out for them... The jump from tier 3-4 to tier 5-6 seemed a tad much? :)

GM_Yogadragon |

My tier 1-2 table is fighting the Assassin. I had one character get stabbed by the Assassin round 1, fail all 6 poison saves, and is now perma-unconscious with 0 strength. Meanwhile, the monk and the barbarian are both unconscious but stable, and she is in melee with the druid, who will probably go down this round. This leaves an arcanist with no spells left and a bard left to take her out. She is 18 hp down, so it's not unreasonable that they could finish her. Gonna be close though!
So one question I did have - not wanting to TPK the party, would you all find it reasonable for her to run off after dropping all of the party, rather than taking the time to TPK them?
