GM Hmm |

That is aussie time, right?
Hmm

Shifty |

Looks like I missed the warning notice to players in all that, so they have now been given a warning the time is almost up.
Rather than also throw us off by posting in the middle of the night, I'll extend out 48 hours. I did the rounds of the tables and they seem like the majority are just about to crack a success (or can resolve current actions) within that time.
I'll move us on 0630 Thursday (my time).

We are pretty much doing the entire auction through box text, right? And jumping right into combat?

![]() |

I'm back. Many thanks for the stand in Sued. I'll let you finish that transaction as you are doing it so well.

GM Ladile |

Hey, would someone be willing to take my table for the next 10-12 hours? They're just starting Glow of the Rushlights but today is looking like it'll be too busy for me to motor them along until after I get home tonight. If anyone could help that'd be fantastic :)

![]() |

I'm going on vacation, and need a backup GM starting from this Sunday Feb 11th through to Sunday Feb 18th. I'll be able to resume on the 19th.
Could anyone cover for me for that week? I guarantee you a fun week with an awesome group of players in return. Hmm can vouch for that!

Well, the underbridge scene went way, way off track. They decided to go get the guard. So I ended up giving them a mini chase scene with DCs calculated from some of the newer multiplayer specials.
I figure on giving them 3 points for this
+1 for the surrender (effectively the guard does this for them)
+2 for not getting lycanthropy (easy)
but not the nice big +4 for finding the clue that was hidden.

So now that this section is over I wanted to laugh a bit at 3C.
Who sets a fireball trap in their bedroom to protect poems? Or even an acid trap? What if the housekeeper got to close and burned the whole manor down or you walked in and saw a melted goo puddle.
"Dang, third housekeeper this week..."

I think the funnier thing is the Hippo who stood in the middle of the fireball and took no damage. Damn evasive hippos...

FYI - I could use a backup GM for Feb 16-18 as I will be busy with Con of the North, and posting APL 18-19 stuff on my iPad seems... daunting, even if I have time.
I will PM the backups as well.

![]() |

The flying glass shards deal 1d6 points of piercing and slashing damage for every two points of the table’s APL (rounded down) to all targets...
Does that mean that an APL 1 party takes 0d6 damage?

GM_Yogadragon |

Are we free to run pretty much the rest of the mod, or should we stop after they finish the temple fight, and wait to start the chase together?

![]() |

Act 4 kicking off!
Doing well...!
@GM Red - do you have confirmed cover from a GM yet?
@Silbeg ^^ Same QWe can start getting those sorted.
Not yet, but I haven't had the chance to PM, either. Been a busy day at work.

GM Hmm |

Shifty —-
Our Mysterious Benefactor is covering for my table on Feb 16-18. I reserved him early. Like Silbeg, I will be at Con of the North.
Hmm

![]() |

Thank you, Suede. It's a Tier 8-9 game but the party is level 7. I'll PM you when I'm ready for you to take over.

![]() |

GM Gustavef is covering for me at CotN -- if needed.
Thanks!

Are there really 20 days set aside for this act? My table will probably be done by next Wednesday!
Or am I misreading the planning sheet?

They have 20 days to complete 4B-4E. 4E alone is three combats :p
I suppose the problem is that your table is 18-19 so it's never going to align properly when it comes to PFS Scenario play, especially if they are super switched on.

GM_Yogadragon |

Ooof, both of the wizards at my table got off their summon scrolls, summoning 4 lemures to the fight. Gonna be a long fight for my little APL1-2 table...

GM Cwethan |

Meanwhile my baddies crapped out on initiative and the entire party just walked out the door before they so much as cast a spell lol

![]() |

Mine just blazed through the combat in only 2 rounds. If they keep up this pace, they will run out of fights by the end. As I understand it, once we get to the last part, they just keep going to the next more difficult enemies until time is called. Is there a limit to how high a tier 3-4 table should get, if they keep winning?

Shifty |

The thrust of page 44 is that waves sort of continue, however once they destroy the third wave they have really maximised their points.
Remember, this all concludes when 50% of the house submits a success slip for encounter 4E, so assuming 8 tables have started reporting successes we draw to a close.

My cultists did very well with initiative and have the party pretty tied up.
I messed up the scrolls though and completely forgot to do the caster level check for the summoning. It would have been nice if the scenario had put a reminder in the tactics section around that.

GM Ladile |

Don't feel bad Aerondor, I forgot the CL check too until I saw my own GM roll it at his table. D'oh!

Well, seems like I have to add that too in my next update! Good thing they haven't "completed" the summoning.

![]() |
My table has them blind and would likely slaughter them all in the next round or so.

![]() |

Two questions about Lissala's gates:
1. Do we report successes to the waves, and just update the totals, or wait until a table 'taps out' before reporting?
2. It sounds like you just keep moving up to the next encounter until a table 'taps out' or else the overseer calls the adventure. If they tap out, they miss out on a bunch of possible key points. Is there a limit on how high they have to go to avoid this 'penalty'? My table just took down the assassin, so they will probably be able to make it through more than the 3 expected encounters.

![]() |

2. I believe your maximum points, minimum danger would come from defeating 3 waves, then stalling on the 4th wave until the time limit is up.
Adding a question of my own.
3. Shifty, did you ever hear if we were being supported like a con? If yes, how do we go about rolling boons for our players?

![]() |

Boon rolling has always been table variation in my experience, some GMs allow players to roll themselves while some roll for all. I do the latter to keep it transparent. I announce the order of rolls then roll it within the same day once the earlier announced post is locked from editing.

![]() |

I tend to do the rolling for my games, just to make sure that it happens. Otherwise if someone isn't able to roll, or misses the post, they can miss out. Also makes it much easier to find the post were the rolls are done.
I always use the initiative order spoiler I have at the top for the order that I do the rolls in (just have to remember to remove the initiative modifier!)

Shifty |

@Red
Keep updating, that way we know what tables have completed at least one combat (which is an end of Special trigger)
@GMEwok
Your assessment is correct on the way to maximise points.
Regards Con support, I have been told we will be receiving something (a couple of times now), however until I see it I am holding off on announcements.
@GMBatpony
@Aerondor
I also do the roll off as well, posting GM at the top and the rest of the party in alphabetical order (or whatever was specified by the event organiser) I can then link that post to the organisers if we have winners.

![]() |

Am I missing something on the chase DCs? I'm not seeing any level-scaling, but it seems odd that my 10th level character would be targeting the same DCs that the level 1s at my table are.

GM Hmm |

Not feeling well.
Our Mysterious Benefactor (or another backup GM) can I get you to throw them in the fight with the assassin? I just realized that the last two PCs can fly, so you can assume they all made it there.
I really need a backup to cover.
Thanks,
Hmm
