That's some neat work GM Pepper. Last PBP special, everybody shared a bit of the upfront prep work in terms of maps, general text updates, enemy tokens, all to some central slides for easy access. It was useful and really helped to ease of GM prep during game, could consider if we want to do that this time round.
I think Shifty had the same thing in mind
Shared prep and the like is always helpful, so feel free to give each other a hand, and historically we have managed to get a Googleslides kit up and running of maps etc to make prep a touch easier
Although this is my first PbP Special I wanted to offer what assistance I could with setup.
Poblano, have you GMed a special in person before? I'm just wondering who the other newbies are. :)
I have in person yes. I am very much excited to see how some of the mechanics of this Scenario will be 'keyed' to PbP use.

Just being my proactive Self I made a mini-Box I dont mind hosting the storage ;)
Thanks all, great to see you all talking shop and getting excited - these are great fun! The good and bad news is they are a 'race' for about 50 odd days.
With regards to con support, my understanding is this will be a 'regional support' based event so there will be some kind of boonage etc. Will no more shortly.
Also, please be aware it is Friday night here, and I will be offline from Monday morning (18 Dec) and back online Thursday the following week (28 Dec). I will be unable to view forums, check emails, or do any of that sort of caper because I will be bouncing around the ocean or on places like THIS - purposefully dodging comms and getting in some sweet underwater adventure and playing Pirates.

I will have more time to give info' etc. this week-end (and steal the Pepper Box!... again).
I was Overseer of this Special in tabletop, and happy to GM it in PbP.
Note: on January 26 to 28 I will be running our national Convention (if any want to come to Paris, France for it: 8-99 B and 9-00 will be the main events) so probably not much time to post then (1/day yes, not much more).
Depending on where the special is at (post intensive moment, or not) I imagine it could be could to have a replacement for a few days?

As it currently stands, my table only has one person signed up for it. If we don't get it filled up, what would be the plan for it? Drop it? Change it to Classic and see if we can fill it that way? Something else?
Mine is the core 7-8 table.

Good Pull Nightdeath. For those who need them I have a setup with some of the Markers so far and if you dont want to put the slide Deck together you can make of copy of mine found
BTW, I've not had the scenario drop, so I'm guessing that you have the maps from an earlier run?
That or could be a VO with access.
So i have a question.
When presenting the Cathedral Ledger to the players how might we do this in PbP?
I know it hasn't dropped yet for some so I figured I would post here under spoiler for all GMs to consider.
When the PCs present their deposit, they have the opportunity to peek at his ledger to see who else might be participating in the auction. The list of participants is provided in Handout 1: The Cathedral Ledger on page 8. Initially, GMs should keep this aid concealed from the players until their PCs make the requisite skill
checks to catch a glimpse of its contents.
If a Pathfinder attempts to peek at the proctor’s ledgers, allow the PC to attempt a Perception check to glean some of the names on the list. If a PC succeeds, the Table GM should allow the player to peek
at the list for short number of seconds, as detailed below. After the given time, the GM once again conceals the list, allowing the PCs no further attempts to scan it.
DC 1 + APL = 5 seconds
DC 4 + APL = 10 seconds
DC 8 + APL = 15 seconds
DC 12 + APL = 20 seconds
DC 16 + APL = 30 seconds

Hey all. A bunch of updates.
SCENARIO SUPPORT
So I checked in with Jesse and found that he is already bugging customer service about your scenario drops. The Online Region gets a hard limit of eight conventions a year now. That means that PBP and VTT supported conventions must add up to eight or less. It’s made our planning infinitely more interesting this month, but we’ve moved our schedule around to make sure that Shifty’s last PBP special on the boards is one that is covered.
According to Jesse, scenario support usually drops the weekend before a convention starts. This means that most of you will not see the scenario until the 29th at the soonest, alas. If you do not receive it, we will keep following through because we want you to get your scenarios.
PRE-PREPPED POSTS
Nightdeath, Poblano and others... It would help if there were some pre-prepped posts for the very first section of the scenario to get people going, especially GMs who may not have the scenario yet. Feel free to make this a joint GM project for any who wish to help.

YOGADRAGON’S TABLE
In Shifty’s absence, I am converting Yogadragon’s table to a standard 1-2 table. I moved the two people from the waiting list to it. (Eric, I will let you decide if you want to play there, or move elsewhere. If you have someone in 10-11, I could use an extra body on my table too.) Can you announce the change in Flaxseed, Yogadragon, and give them a link to both the signup spreadsheet and your gameplay thread?

THE PBP ADAPTION of RACE FOR THE RUNE CARVED KEY
Magabeus has put together a PBP adaption document for Race for the Runecarved Key that I think will work. It has timing, and advice for how to change around some of the weirder sections like the Pre-Auction Gala.

I'm currently working on Tokens and maybe a similar setup where we had the scenario already prepared in a handy word doc so GMs could just focus on the RP.
I've been meaning to do the word document, but won't likely be able to get on it till next week. I'm taking Christmas week off from work so it should give me a good amount of time to do so.
EDIT: But looks like Magabeus has done some of it already for the PBP adaptation document. I'm not sure if we want to build it on to that? Or start a new one for the remaining acts.

Meanwhile, I have finally started my mustering post, which leads to my GM questionnaire for this game. I do want a quick reference of the party’s skills, so that I can have an idea of what missions to send them on first. My goal to go fast and acheive successes is to knock out the low-hanging fruit first on these missions. Then as Sheila gets more desperate to get stuff done, she’ll send the team on missions for which they are less qualified.
I also wanted to know what sorts of adventures my team has been on with Sheila before, and what their relationships to this Venture Captain is, so that I can add in a bit of roleplay as she sends them places.

Yeah, Bret’s prep for this was sweet. When I ran tier 3-4 at Con of the North last year, my little party flew through everything with that prep (and the skill cards they filled out for me) in hand.
