the usage of a wand doesn't provoke, but the drawing of a wand does. Unless the wand is in a prepared area to reach it...

i had it in my hand last turn when I approached and did the same attack last turn...

Vorka's spirit seems to be losing control as the arms of the creature swing wildly, hitting no one. Mic provoked when he moved in on it, but the attack missed.

A firework spins off and hits Nora in the face! The poor sow squeals with pain and backs away from the statue. 8 damage to Nora. Goog, you can make a handle animal check on her to keep her attacking, if you fail it she'll run away on your turn.

Poog activates his wand and tries to hit the effigy.

"Die again, Vorka! Die!"

CLW, touch atk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 171d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Nora runs away, which is fine with Goog. He doesn't want her to die, necessarily.

Mic stabs at the beastie, and critically if it can be critted struck the construct.

Reta curses her goblin dog before she dives back in to combat herself "Useless pile of bones!" She screams, bringing her dogslicer down as hard as she can muster. attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Goog and Mogmurch are still up.

Mogmurch hurls another bomb, excluding his goblin friends from burning to death.

Goog pulls out his wand of cure light wounds, casts from it and tries to touch the big pile of garbage.
touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
positive: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Multiple hits, each small in themselves, begin to take their toll on the effigy. Bits are falling off now, and it staggers with every touch of positive energy weakens its connection to the restless soul of the cannibal goblin. Vorka tries to smash the two clerics who are hurting her the most. Goog's shield of faith barely blocks her swing, but Poog takes it on the chin as a mighty tree branch fashioned into an arm crushes him and a firework sets his hair on fire. 13 damage to Poog, DC 12 reflex save to avoid catching on fire. Unfortunately, Goog gets it in the face from a spiraling pinwheel of sparks. 7 damage to Goog, DC 15 reflex save halves.

All PCs are up, except unless Goog makes that reflex save, he's unconscious.

Fire: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8

Mogmurch continues with his only form of harm, still excluding his allies.

"Hey!" Poog yells. "Only Poog kill Goog, not Vorka!"

Infuriated, he swings his wand at the creature. Having caught fire, he still manages to hit it.

Poog's clothing continues to burn. 5 damage to Poog. This damage will continue for between 1 to 3 rounds. You can make another reflex save to put yourself out as a full-round action; dropping and rolling on the ground gives you a +4 bonus to this save.

Reta continues to wail on the effigy with her dogslicer, aiming for the joints that connect larger sections of the living trophy.

Now that Mic is flanking the creature, he will stab and stab and stab.

Poison does nothing to constructs. However...

Mic, Reta, and Mogmurch continue to try to destroy or at least disable the construct, while Poog uses his wand to hurt the remnant of Vorka's unsavory existance. With these final insults, the effigy finally breaks apart, falling to pieces around the goblins, and a final scream of anger dwindles away as Vorka goes on to her eternal reward... probably.

With the goblin chief effigy destroyed, the goblins of the Birdcruncher tribe slowly slink from their hiding places, ready once again to cheer their beloved chieftains. They bowed and scraped at their fearless leaders before, but now—after witnessing the destruction of the fireworks-laden monstrosity—the goblins of the Birdcruncher tribe would follow the PCs into Hell. It takes a bit of time, but with a little cleaning up and additional cooking, the feast goes on!

Is it safe to assume Goog gets healed up here?

I would hope that his brother would use Goog's wand to heal him. :)

Poog hovers over Goog, one hand on his wand, the other on his dogslicer.

For all the times he had killed Goog in his mind, he had not quite considered this scenario, where Goog was unconscious and wouldn't even see Poog's excitement as his brother died. Plus, Poog could be the hero today...Goog was almost dead, not Poog.

The cleric spits on the ground, fingers his dogslicer once more, and then finally taps his brother with the wand.

"Come back, dearest brother. Come back."

Using just enough charges to bring him conscious. ;P
