Still have Mic, Mogmurch, and if he wants to do anything other than run, Chuffy.
Mic Chuffy
Mic moves to the door to see where the big ugly thing is.
GM Paladin

OK, Chuffy, doing that and hiding the spear quickly will take one round, and then you can run back from the edge of the map next round.
GM Paladin

Yes, if he hasn't acted by this evening I'll move for him.

Assaulted with sound, sticky glue, and acid, Pa Munchmeat holds his head and moans. Meanwhile, the door on the far side of the house slams open, and you hear heavy footsteps, accompanied by the sound of a large animal scurrying down the ramp. "Spike, attack!" a dull voice says, followed by, "I'm a-comin', Pa!"
Through gaps in the logs holding up the house, the goblins can see an enormous animal, long and narrow like a weasel, leap across the muddy stream and scamper around the side of the house.

Reta gets out her bow and knocks an animal-bane arrow, waiting for the weasel to come into view. Reta instinctually steps over towards the corpse of the owlbear so that she can use it as cover if need be.

Pa shakes his head and growls fiercely at the infestation of Goblins under his house. "Burn 'em out!" he yells and casts a spell, causing a sphere of flame to appear in the doorway of the muddy hollow and roll forward, directly towards Mogmurch. Mogmurch takes 10 damage, unless he can make a DC 15 reflex save (which negates it).
"I'm a-comin', Pa! I'm a-comin'! Save the heads fer me!" calls out the other voice from behind the house as heavy boots stomp and squish through the mud and over a wooden plank bridge.
The giant ferret ducks through the doorway to bring its attack to the goblins. It smells and sees Mic hiding beside the door and brings its attack to bear on him first. Fortunately, the rogue is able to avoid the snapping teeth.

It is indeed, Reta! You forgot to include the additional enhancement bonus to damage, and it looks like you also have point blank shot, adding a +1 to both, but not Precise shot, which gives a -4 for shooting into melee; however, you still hit, doing a total of 16 points of damage.
Reta's arrow strikes true and a massive amount of blood starts to pour from the wound in the ferret's chest.
Goog, you don't have line of sight to any location in which you can center the burst in order to hit the ferret but not Mic. We'd need Mic to agree before including him in any area-affect damage.
GM Paladin
|
In order to hit the ferret with a sound burst without also hitting Mic, you would need to target it outside the door in a place you don't have line of sight to. If Mic agrees to be affected by the Sound burst, we can do that, but otherwise not. Mogmurch also comes first in initiative order, so he might do something to kill the ferret, and then the attacks could be directed at the ogre instead.
Chuffy, since this is the round you spent running back, you can move your icon back to around the location it was before, behind the shed or thereabouts.

I placed a 10 foot area on the map. They should be able to hit the ferret (The guy i am in combat with) without hitting me.

Huh, good point, I didn't think about that location. Ok, going by turn order, Mogmurch hits the ferret with the bomb, then Goog hits it with a firebolt, then Reta kills it with the arrow. We'll redirect Poog's sound blast to the ogre. Since Mic was delaying, he can redirect his attack to the ogre as well, or ready an action to attack if anyone comes in.

That'll be your next-round action, Reta.
Munchmeat points a finger, and the ball of flame moves towards Poog.
10 fire damage to Poog, DC 15 Reflex save negates.
He then pulls a wand out of a pocket in his filthy robe, and takes a step to the side, towards his daughter as she approaches him. Reta, Mogmurch, and Mic still have line of sight to him. He has cover against ranged attacks by Mogmurch in his current position, but not Reta or Mic.
Guffy stomps her way through the mud, and Chuffy is able to get a look at her for the first time.
She ugly.
Even by goblin standards, she ugly.
She has dull grey skin, bowed legs, excessively long arms, and a lower jaw that hangs down, drooling, showing her abnormally sharp teeth, and a vacant expression in her eyes.

The necklace pretty clearly indicates in the description that the beads must be detached in order to trigger when thrown. You can get a 5d6 fireball, which if we take the first 5 rolls, will give 22 damage, which is still pretty good. I'll make the reflex saves tomorrow morning, I'm heading to bed now.

You could drop it at your feet, but the fireball necklace only gets triggered by a fire attack if you fail the save -- and only if it fails a save itself. So if you fail the save and take all the damage, you have a chance of the fireball necklace going off and doing even more damage to you.
Poog the Sagacious
Poog laughs as the flame sizzles around him but does not harm him. I had cast resist energy fire right before coming in, so I have Resist 10.

Moving for Mogmurch:
Mogmurch tosses his bottle of acid at Pa (this is before Mic moves out to attack him) and hits him right on the face! His acid-burned countenance is actually less ugly than he was before.
Mic darts out to try to attack the ogre. Pa swings his big stick, but it misses the little goblin. However, it throws him off enough to prevent his blade from striking home.
Chuffy tosses a bead from his necklace of fireballs between Pa and his daughter. It explodes in a tremendous ball of flame, badly burning Guffy and managing to overcome much of Pa's fire resistance.
Bleeding and smouldering from many wounds, Pa uses the wand he drew previously to try to heal himself. (I will interpret this to be within the broadest reasonable interpretation of Reta's and Poog's readied action triggers.) Not wanting him to succeed in whatever spell he is using on himself, Reta lets fly her arrow, hitting him in the neck just as Poog's sound blast affects him.
"Screw this! Run for it, Guffy!" yells Pa, wisely deciding this battle was turning against him. He starts running, barely escaping the slash of Mic's dogslicer at the vulnerable ogre's heels.
He and Guffy make a run for it, but aren't able to get far before the goblins are able to react to their retreat.
Both are very hurt, possibly within one attack of being defeated.
Mogmurch confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Yes, believe it or not!
damage with crit: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10
AoO vs. Mic: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Miss.
Guffy Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Fail.
Pa Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Fail.
Mic Refelex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Success; Mic takes no damage.
fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
cmw: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (8, 4) + 3 = 15
Mic AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Mic Chuffy
Mic doesn't chase the big uglies, because he is too entranced by the fire display.
Poog the Sagacious
Poog, laughing gleefully, does what goblins enjoy immensely: chase retreating enemies. Seeing how effective Goog's necklace had been, Poog throws several of his own beads between Munchmeat and his hideous daughter.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
fire dmg, DC 14 refl half: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1, 2) = 9 Actually, looking at their positioning, I don't think I can get them both in the blast, so I'll target far enough north not to hit allies and target Munchmeat.
