You don't have light of sight to the owlbear from your current position. You would have to at least be at the doorway in order to see it. I put your icon there, but feel free to move it in further if you want to have moved inside during your turn.
Poog moves to the entrance of the hollow and causes a loud burst of sound to assault the owlbear's eardrums. It hoots in pain, but doesn't seem stunned.
The Owlbear starts tearing into Reta with its claws, slashing her and grabbing her with its great paws.
Reta takes 13 damage and is grappled. Please apply the penalties appropriate to that condition while rolling.

Goog moves up behind his twin brother, sees the owlbear, and his eyes get gigantically wide. He watches his brother use a weak sound burst, and sees that it really doesn't affect the owlbear much.
He casts spiritual weapon, creating a dogslicer made of force behind the owlbear, which then slices at it.
spiritual weapon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
force damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Mic tumbles past the owl bear and attacks with his sword.

Reta BB

Reta is shocked at the ferocity of the creature attacking her. As she finds herself in its grasp, she shouts. "Lemme go!!!" Reta stabs at the large creature with her magical dogslicer, hoping to scald it and force a retreat.
grappled dogslicer: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 8 - 4 = 6

Mic, why do you have a -2 to damage? Your strength is 8, that's only a -1.
You also see a cage with an animal in it -- the animal shows no sign of life whatsoever -- and a very poorly done taxidermy of a humanoid with a crow's head.
| Some Random Goblin |
Chuffy's eyes widen as he recognises the creature as being an ogre!
Stealth: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (3) + 23 = 26.
He then sneaks forward and picks up the spear...
...and prepares to deliver a coup-de-grace.
Coup-de-grace: 3d8 - 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 7) - 3 + (6, 4) = 23 damage, DC 33 Fort save or die.
yes, I realise that is probably two rounds worth of actions, but I figured I should get them in now, so we don't detract from the main combat below ;-)

Mic, you don't actually have enough movement to get to the square you moved your character to and attack in the same round. Avoiding attacks of opportunity requires you to move at half speed through threatened squares. It's also not directly opposite Reta, so you wouldn't have flanking. You'd have to be one square to the right for that.
| Some Random Goblin |
Hopefully, asleep + distance & barrier penalties will be enough to keep him asleep long enough...
Stealth (penalty included): 1d20 + 23 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 23 - 5 = 24.

Correction to previous post: Mic would need to be one square to the LEFT.
| Mic Chuffy |
Flanking
When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by another enemy character or creature on its opposite border or opposite corner.
When in doubt about whether two characters flank an opponent in the middle, trace an imaginary line between the two attackers' centers. If the line passes through opposite borders of the opponent's space (including corners of those borders), then the opponent is flanked.
Exception: If a flanker takes up more than 1 square, it gets the flanking bonus if any square it occupies counts for flanking.
Only a creature or character that threatens the defender can help an attacker get a flanking bonus.
Creatures with a reach of 0 feet can't flank an opponent. at that location, Mic would be flanking.
I didn't know that moving through an opponents square with acrobatics made you move slower, but now that I looked at it, if I take a -10 on my check, I can move at full speed. Which is what I would like to do.

The owlbear swipes a claw at Mic as he dodges past, catching his leg and scratching a nasty wound in it. 5 damage to Mic.
Goog's dogslicer doesn't penetrate the thick layer of feathers protecting the owlbear's hide, and though the sound blast hurts its ears again, the noise doesn't stun it.
Taking this out of the spoiler for dramatic purposes.
Chuffy scurries silently into the ogre's bedchamber, grabs the spear, and turns to carry it away, when the second blast of sound goes off under the farmhouse. This one makes Pa Munchmeat snort and open his eyes, and he turns over -- to see his favorite spear being carried away by a goblin!
"What!? Drop that spear you little thief!" he bellows, standing up.
Chuffy got back to the place where he is now on the roof, and is carrying the spear.

Yeah, repeated use of Sound Burst was definitely going to attract a lot of attention...
"Eek!"
Hefting the spear, Chuffy runs like crazy...

Ok, you had some more move available so we'll call that the end of your last turn. You're on the ground now, and you took no damage because it's soft mud and you made a good Acrobatics check.

Goog hears heavy footsteps on the boards above their heads, but needs to finish off the owlbear first. His phantom weapon attacks...
spiritual weapon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
He then grudgingly follows in his brothers' footsteps, taking out his wand of sound burst and firing it at the creature.
sound burst: 1d4 ⇒ 2
DC 14 Fort or stunned 1 round.
| Mic Chuffy |
Mic takes another stab at the owlbear.

| Poog the Sagacious |
Yeah, maybe sound burst wasn't that smart...very goblin-like! Also, Cartman, you rolled a d4 for the sound burst, but it's d8.
Poog continues his wand assault on the creature, disappointed it is not doing more.
sound burst: 1d8 ⇒ 2 DC 14 Fort or stunned
Reta BB

Reta continues to thrash against the owlbear gripping her, This time, she tries to change the arc of her swing to hit the creature's arm so that it will release her.
grappled attack: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 4 = 8
Reta is becoming more panicked, and she nearly drops her weapon after this attempt. "Me said Let go!"
GM Paladin
|
Assaulted from all sides, the owlbear clumsily swings its head around to try to take a big bite out of Reta, only for a bomb to go off right on its beak! It collapses onto the ground, bleeding from dozens of wounds.
The Ogre stomps its way out of the hole in the wall, looking down. "Goblins! More Goblins! Yummy little thieves make good stew! Guffy! Goblins for supper!!" he bellows, shaking the rickety farmhouse with his fury. He chants a short spell, and a wave of fire washes over his body and fades into his skin.
| Mic Chuffy |
Not happy that the noisy chef woke up the big ugly Oger, Mic looks for something to set the house on fire. Not finding anything, he sticks his tong out at the ugly thing.
| Poog the Sagacious |
Poog didn't know much, but he knew he loved fire. The only spells he really knew anything about were fire spells...and spells that kept the fire away.
"He resisting fire spells...don't use energy spells!" the goblin barks.
Happy to be in the tight confines under the house, especially with the owlbear down, he yells to the others "Come under! Make it fight in little place!"
spellcraft: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
It seems pretty small under here...might be good for making the ogre squeeze?
GM Paladin
|
Mic -- there were two gourds of fire burping on the boar you guys killed earlier. I'm not sure which of you took them.
Poog: the space under the house is large enough for the owlbear to have gotten around, and therefore also large enough for the ogre, but he would have to squeeze through the entrance to get in there.
Reta BB
|
Reta rolls away as the owlbear collapses and releases her. With new tears in her clothing, Reta's rage increases. She takes the time to decapitate the owlbear out of spite. "Meanie." She says to the fresh corpse before her.
When Reta hears the ogre above, and learns that he has cast a spell preventing fire damage, Reta curses under her breath. She then takes out the sovereign glue from her pack and gives it to Poog. "Make him stuck when he comes in?" She whispers to him.
GM Paladin

Mogmurch, are you doing anything?
Chuffy, are you staying still and hoping he won't find you, or continuing to move while being stealthy?
GM Paladin

Forgot one. Goog is just standing out there in the open. I'll move for him to keep this going.
Goog levels his wand at the Ogre and casts another burst of sound at him. It isn't very effective, so the cleric runs for the entrance to the underground area.
Are you guys all staying bunched up around the entrance? I'd think you'd give some room to be able to hit him when he enters.
Pa Munchmeat jumps down from the roof of his house, and locating a large branch lying in the mud, picks it up, deciding to use it as a makeshift club. "Where'd you go, little thief?"
Pa looks down at the muddy ground. "Ha! Yous footprints!" he exclaims as he sees the footprints left by Chuffy as he ran for the shed holding the ogre's spear.
Sorry, Chuffy, you made a great stealth roll, but I've been talking about how muddy the ground is here for the entire scene and you didn't mention anything about trying to conceal your trail.

*shrugs* the rules for hiding tracks require more than a standard action, so I could do nothing about that.
With a squeak, Chuffy runs away, dragging the spear along with him.
I have no plan to stop running until back at the goblin tribe, at least if the ogre follows. If he doesn't chase Chuffy, he will hide the spear out of sight, and then double back.
GM Paladin

Brave sir Chuffy ran away... Bravely ran away, away... When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled... Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Chuffy!
Ok, so you're skedaddling. Are you taking the Run action? You do have a clear line of movement to the gate, and the mud isn't soft enough to be difficult terrain.
GM Paladin
|
In that case, you run through the gate that you left open when you came through, and are now 120 ft away from where you started, still carrying the spear, and are heading up the hill outside the farm.
Well, now, who's going to take an action next?
GM Paladin
|
Want to be clear on the trigger you've selected for your readied action. Mogmurch and Goog have selected 'when the ogre enters' as their trigger. Are you doing the same? Also, Reta and Mogmurch are immediately adjacent to the entrance on the map. Wouldn't you want to move back?
Edit to add: I'll allow use of the flask of glue as equivalent to a tanglefoot bag.
GM Paladin
|
Mic and Mogmurch, I'm going to go ahead and move for you.
Mic ducks down behind the body of the owlbear, using it for cover to hide.
Mogmurch moves to a corner, still ready to throw a flask of acid.
Pa Munchmeat moves over to where he can see in through the gap in the logs, and grins as he sees goblins waiting for him. He starts casting a spell, one that seems to be taking a while.
All the goblins below the house can hear heavy footsteps coming from the room above.
| Mic Chuffy |
Sorry... Thought i posted a few days ago. If no one was going outside, Mic was gonna stay inside and hide as well.
GM Paladin

The doorway would give him some cover, but that would still hit. His touch AC is abysmal as you might have guessed. I'm not sure if getting hit with it should force a concentration check when he's already started casting, though. I'll look into that.
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

While casting a spell, anytime before it is finished, it can get interrupted by an attack causing the spell caster to concentrate to keep the spell.

Consensus on the rule forum seems to be concentration check is needed.
Concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
The sticky glue causes Pa Munchmeat's mystical hand movements to be impeded, and the growing magic disperses with a faint sizzling sound.
"GAH! Sticky! F*$+ing gobs!"

Hey, I'm sure to roll low for him sooner or later, right?
Fort x2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 121d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
And there we go!
A powerful blast of sound goes off directly next to the ogre's ear, causing a trickle of blood to run down from it and his body to shake with the pain of having his eardrum rupture.
