Gwen glances into the room and notices the absence of the mists and lets out a sigh of relief. She joins Ery in the room and glances around as well to see if she notices anything out of the ordinary. "Now this is rather interesting..."

Remember we are looking for bone and Obsidian knives. Also Ery can you use zat paper to help ze curator? If not I need to look at it and start trying to translate it now.
She holds out her hand to Vicard to get a look at the paper.

![]() |

"I suppose it may be...Oh...Nope. Can't read it."
The elf gives s shrug and smirk.

"Let's see what is in here. Keep your weapons ready."
Urbar adds as he takes a step inside, glancing sideways at Gwen's thick arms.

Tereze casts Read Magic and grabs the scraps of fabric (assuming Vicard allows it)
Steph let me know what I know about this thing and what UMD DC I need to hit to use it. Not sure if you want to call this a Scroll or emulating a Class Feature to activate this.

![]() |

"Please tell me we aren't going to have to fight these things..' Vicard says, looking at the huge tyrant lizard. It is obvious we doesn't look forward to battling more undead creatures. We happily gives Tereze the paper, doing his part to look around the room.
Perception Aid: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

"Don't fret, Vic. We have Muscles and Urbar."
The elf mentions as he motions toward Gwen and the ranger.

![]() |

"I hope these things stay dead. Our luck is only going to push so far."
Urbar adds, ignoring Ery's comment.

![]() |
Fiona wanders around the antiquities in the room, clearly at awe at the artifacts and taxiderm monsters, many of which she'd never heard of before or even thought possible. She appears to get lost in her thoughts again, oblivious to the others' conversation.

StephNyan |

@Tereze: For everyone but a bard it functions as a regular scroll of break enchantment.
The towering monstrosities scattered about the room give you menacing looks. while stepping into the room you get the feeling they're following you with their eyes. As you move into the center of the room, you suddenly hear a loud crack.
The Perception rolls made since my last post count as rolls for this spoiler:

![]() |

Gwen jerks around at the sudden cracking sound, trying to locate it's source, but she is unable to determine the source. "What was that?"

![]() |

"Gwen, don't get over vigilant. It's gonna tense those arms."
He gives wink, looking to Gwen's forearms. He smirks before giving a loud slurp of his tea.

![]() |

Urbar takes on a fighting stance as he hears the sound. Ready to attack anything that moves in this room.
"I think they might be coming back from the grave this very moment..."
He says as his head darts from object to object in the room.

![]() |

Tereze carefully finished studying the scroll to be sure she has the spell ready in case she needs it.
She then looks up and asks What made ze sound?
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 17

![]() |

"The walls! They wish to eat us! Gwen save me!"
Ery shrieks, coming out of his tea daze. His finger thrusts toward the crumbling mess.
In my defense, I'm still neat.

StephNyan |

Two of the stone helms mounted on the east wall burst open. In a shower of dust and stone shards two blackened, bat-winged fiend's heads emerge from the helms. Tentacles dangle from their chins and scalps, and their fanged mouths hang agape.

Tereze's eyes widen over her scarf that is still tied around her face.
What in ze Hell are zose zings? she asks as she hefts her club.
With out waiting for an answer she steps up and gets between the two monsters. Once there she carefully swings at the Red fiend.

Dmg roll: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Gwen jerks towards the sound of the creatures bursting from the helms. She recoils slightly at their disturbing visage and echoes Tereze's thoughts as she also prepares for a fight! Gwen charges forward, using her momentum to add force to her fists as she strikes at the strange creatures!
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Charge! +2 Attack, -2 AC for 1 round. Gwen will work on setting up the flank next round... Unfortunately I couldn't charge into flanking due to the stupid box.

StephNyan |

Fiona slowly moves closer to the rest of the party, her mind still elsewhere.
Tereze steps in between the flying heads. She tries to hit one of the heads with her club, but her attack misses. There's nothing Tereze can recall about the fiends the party's facing.
Urbar's able to determine that the heads are flying, but that's about all he knows about them. He moves to attack the purple head, but cannot connect to it.
Gwendallyn charges forward and strikes the red head hard with her fist.

I actually posted a minute after you Steph, so I didn't mean my post to me Fiona's action for the combat. It doesn't matter though, she'll skip her action for the first round as in the following:
Fiona eyes widen as the two heads fly around and attack her friends. She tries to rememeber anything she can about such fiends which could help the rest of the group, but engulfed in her thoughts she takes to immediate action.

StephNyan |

I've also moved Vicard to be in melee range. (Flanking with Tere.)
Vicard moves up to the red fiend and stabs at it with his sword cane. The fiend has its wing pierced, and it has difficulty staying airborne.
The red fiend shrieks loudly after Vicard's attack, and the purple fiend copies it.
Round 2:
Gwendallyn
Tereze
Vicard
Fiona
Urbar
Eryzule
Red head -10HP
Purple head
Those within 60 feet who hear the shriek and can clearly see the fiend that's shrieking must succeed on a DC 12 Fortitude save or be paralyzed. I leave it to your fair judgment if you see one or both fiends, and thus if you roll one or two Fort saves.

Fort Save Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
As the Red fiend screams Tereze cringes Ouc... but her exclamation cuts off as the blue fiend screams.

Fort save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
The grinding shriek of the fiends is terrible but bearable. Vicard stands his ground. He also tries to ID the creatures and find any weaknesses.

Gwen is able to quickly cover her ears against the horrible shrieks as both the strange creatures let out a most horrible scream. As she prepares to get back into the fight, she suddenly notices Tereze standing stock still! With a quick flick of her wrist, Gwen catches her dan bong as it shoots out of her wrist sheath. She then quickly reaches forward to grab the foul thing by its tentacles! "Vicard, I will deal with this one! Go help Tereze!"
Grapple: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14

The blade slashes the flying creature deeply!

Not sure how tall the box-like thing in front of Fiona is, but I'll roll anyway for purple.
Fort Save: 1d20 ⇒ 17
The scream reverberates in the room, and while several of her friends are literally paralyzed (out of fear?), it brings Fiona back to her mind. She moves around some of the artifacts and boxes in the room, getting closer to the monsters and seeing them more clearly. Nimbly dodging Eryzule's body falling clumsily to the ground, she points at the purple fiend and chants a few words while scattering some sand in that general direction with her other hand.
Slumber Hex vs. Purple fiend, Will save DC 14.

StephNyan |

Tereze and Eryzule freeze in place and are unable to move or act.
Urbar attacks the purple head twice and hurts it badly.
Gwendallyn uses her dan bong to grapple the red head, and tells Vicard to help Tereze.
Vicard tries to identify the heads, but has no idea what they are. He stabs at the purple head and pokes on of its eyes out.
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Fiona moves around some of the artifacts and points at the purple fiend. She chants a few words while scattering some sand in the fiend's direction, but nothing happens.
Rolling the AoOs, to keep things going:
AoO Gwen, Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
AoO Urbar, Atk roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Dmg roll: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

AoO Vicard, Sword Cane Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 9 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Both of the flying heads move toward Tereze's head, leaving themselves completely open. Gwendallyn has trouble holding onto the red head as it tries to reach Tereze's face and uses her knee to hit it hard. Urbar makes use of the opening in the purple head's defenses to cut it down. The bone shattering cry that comes out of the purple head when it's cut down causes Vicard to miss his attack on the red fiend.
Kiss, -2 Grappled: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 2 = 16
Despite Gwendallyn's attempt to keep the red head from Tereze's face, the paralyzed oracle is too easy a target. The fiend manages to reach Tereze's mouth and kisses her.
Round 3:
Gwendallyn
Tereze (Paralyzed)
Vicard
Fiona
Urbar
Eryzule (Paralyzed)
Red head -16HP
Tereze, I need another Fort roll from you.

I tried to keep it away, Tereze! :(
Gwen gasps in disgust as the weird creature kisses Tereze. She keeps hold of its tentacles and smashes its face with her fist!

Vicard grunts in satisfaction as the purple head goes down. turning around, he bears down on the grappled red fiend. that is...kissing Gwen? Deep inside Vicard smiles at Gwen's reaction but his face shows nothing as he slashes at the grappled creature.
Sword Cane on Red: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Once again the man's attack goes home and deeply cuts the foul creature. Fiends seem to be better luck for him then undead.

![]() |

Taking to his feet, the elf dusts him cloak and knees off before letting a soft, controlled sigh escape his lips. After moment, a smirk formed over his face before he dropped to his knees in an overly dramatic fashion, gathering the broken glass of his tea cup in his palms.
"Why!?"
the elf cried as his lowered to sob, his head touch the floor.

![]() |

Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Oh boy this should be fun to Roleplay...

![]() |

Tereze spits out some dark liquid from her mouth.
Ugh. Zat zings tongue is coated in something zat tastes horrid.
She grabs her water skin and rips off the scarf covering her mouth. She takes a mouthful of water and swishes it around then spits it out on the floor.
Gods help me I can't get ze taste out of my mouth. She kicks at the body of the fiend swaying slightly as she does so.
Great, it tastes so bad it's making me feel light headed. Stupid zing!
She kicks the fiend again for good measure.
Let me know if I need to roll against the mist as I'm now unprotected

![]() |

"Can't you see there are more important things going on!? My tea cup! It's in pieces!"
The elf looked up to Tereze who was speaking about feeling light headed after kissing a creature Ery was sure to be undead...
K.Planes: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
...He quickly regained his composure and took to his feet, looking his comrade's eyes, his own narrowed. He thrust a finger in her direction, his voice surprisingly robust from previous outburst.
"You would rather kiss a being form another realm...and only its head to nurture your needs... then be with the dream that is myself!?"

![]() |

Ugh, Even you are better then that thing She shutters and makes a face still trying to clear the taste from her mouth.

![]() |

Urbar stuffs his sling away and collects his swords.
"That was... unfortunate."
He says as he makes his way to Tereze, stepping on the already broken teacup.
"You all right?"

![]() |

Ery, hearing the crunch of the remnants of his tea cup, looks down in sorrow as Urbar takes his step.
The elf sighs then looks about.
"I'm sure she's fine... She did just kiss a floating head with wings."

StephNyan |

Tereze, if you're now breathing in the mist, you'll have to make a DC 12 Will save or gain the following template:

![]() |

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
She stands up and shakes her head drawing a couple deep breaths to clear her head.
I be fine now, I was dizzy. Let us look around and leave here soon. I not like zis place.
As she's talking she casually takes out her club and starts wacking one of the heads around. Smiling brightly when the head rolls away. Ohhh Fun
She goes to hit the head again.
