There was a stoic, lifeless stare from Ery's eyes as his hands dropped form his face, looking to Tereze's own vision orbs.
"Fine."
The elf turned back around, arming his bow. Hoping that something would happen so that they may hurry to the nearest "place-of-ill-repute" and get their inner hedonist to come out and play.
"But for every drink I buy, dancing will be had!"
The elf sounded annoyed, though a tone of good fun was either being repressed or simply smothered by the others.
"Oi! We're here to do a thing that involves some stuff! Let's move this along so that -I- can do things with the aforementioned stuff!"

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Gwen grins at Tereze and Fiona as they help bring the zombie down! She claps Fiona heartily on the back. "Finally! She comes out of her shell! Fiona, that is the spirit of a Pathfinder, right there!" Assuming no one else collects the scimitar, Gwen will take it and attach it to her belt... Never know when something like that may come in handy.
She follows the others into the next room, looking at the strange mists with trepidation. "Now this is spooky." She states as she looks around the room, slightly oblivious to the conversation around her.

![]() |

He nods to Tereze as she heals him.
"You want him to buy our drinks?"
Urbar says as he nods to Ery.
"The only thing we will be drinking all night will be tea... I need something stronger than that."
He grabs the greatclub and fastens it to his backpack on his shoulder. Holding his swords he approaches the door with the broken class when everyone is ready.

![]() |

"Urbar, your tea will be laced with dwarven whiskey, I promise."

![]() |

"...whiskey..."
Gwen's attention is grabbed while she is examining the strange mists. "Huh? Whiskey?" She glances over her shoulder. "Who said what about whiskey?" She grins.

![]() |

"Urbar wants whiskey in his tea."

![]() |

As much as he loves a good drink, and he notices Gwen seems to feel the same way, Vicard speaks up, "Let's focus, people. We still have countless undead and other jungle abominations waiting for us. Eyes on the prize, if we can?" His cragged face looms in the misty darkness of the museum.

![]() |
Fiona blushes slightly as Gwen congratulates her. Thank you. I... I did very little, she says in a quiet voice trying to draw attention elsewhere. For a short while afterwards, however, her movements seem more confident and a small smile can be seen on her face.

StephNyan |

While the guys in the party are blissfully ignorant about the drooling office workers that cling to the ceiling of this room, the gals immediately spot two men with savage eyes hiding in the mist on the ceiling.
Fiona: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Gwendallyn: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Tereze: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Urbar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Vicard: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Madman (Blue): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Madman (Red): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
One of the madmen drops himself to the floor next to Gwendallyn, who's just moved inside the room.
Slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The madman tries to slam into Gwendallyn, but she saw it coming and dodges.
Round 1:
Madman (Red)
Eryzule
Urbar
Vicard
Gwendallyn
Tereze
Madman (Blue) <-- Still on ceiling
Fiona
For blue there's a 20% miss chance, 'cause he's hiding in the mist above. Everyone in the party will be able to see him if he's pointed out.

"Whelp...these seem like some folk trapped in dreams...gonna have them catch up with their minds."
channeling arcane energy through his hands, held as a circle around each other, Ery generates the sleep spell.
Getting Sleep going.
"Hey Gwen, Hold them at the door."

![]() |

Gwen glances up while she looks around the room to see the two men dangling from the ceiling. "What the..." Suddenly one of them drops down next to her and she nimbly dodges the ill-timed attack. She follows it up with a fist to the face, hoping to knock out the cursed man as opposed to killing him. "Ery, take down the one on the ceiling. I'll deal with this one here!"
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
That was super creepy! This module is pretty awesome.

![]() |

Vicard steps past Urbar and into the room, and is taken aback at the drooling madmen. It only confuses him for a moment however and he attempts to distract the one Gwen is attempting to punch.
Aid Another: 1d20 ⇒ 14
It works and the madman is somewhat distracting by Vicard yelling in Gnomish at the top of his lungs.
Gwen gets +2 to her attack roll!

![]() |

Be careful, zere are two men in zere. One is still on the ceiling. As you fight zem please remember zese may well be normal men controlled by ze curse. We do not want to kill zem.
Passes her turn still looking around to see if she spots any more danger and watching in case someone needs help.

![]() |

"Fear not be delightful temple of amber, I'll put the entire room into a lovely state of dream filled sleep."

![]() |

Urbar slips inside and aims for the man still on the ceiling.
"This place!"
Urbar stifles a curse as he tries to hit the man.
Judging from you naming them madmen I assume they are human, if not take two from the rolls!
Atk roll: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21
Miss chance < 21 is a miss: 1d100 ⇒ 55
Dmg roll: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

StephNyan |

Eryzule channels arcane energy to get a sleep spell going.
AoO, Slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Vicard steps past the other who stand near the scattered door, provoking an attack from the mad office worker that attacked Gwendallyn. The drooling madman slams into Vicard, but Vicard makes use of the situation and causes the enemy to lose balance.
Gwendallyn makes use of the opening provided by Vicard and punches the madman in the face. The drool that hangs from the man's face is launched into the air and lands in front of Tereze.
Tereze sees the drool land on the floor in front of her and decides she'll stay where she is. From where she stands, Tereze looks to see if there's any unnoticed danger. So far she spots none.
Urbar moves into the room and attacks the madman on the ceiling, who he can just reach. Urbar's serrated sword cuts the man's entire belly open.
Rolling this myself, so I know if Blue will attack or not:
Gwendallyn's AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Gwendallyn sees an opening in the defense of the madman the moment he drops himself. She gives him an uppercut in his chest, which knocks the air out of him. For a split second the madman hangs limply on Gwendallyn's upraised fist. He then hits the floor and doesn't get up.
A trail of mist escapes from the unconscious man and his features become less savage. The other madman looks over to his comrade and is quiet, until he bursts out laughing two seconds later. "Muahaha! Mukka labuli! Bwahahaha!"
Round 1:
Madman (Red) -4HP
Eryzule
Urbar
Vicard
Gwendallyn
Tereze
Fiona
Urbar may also still make an AoO versus blue, but judging from your posts the general idea seemed to be to not kill these men.

![]() |

The moment the man from the ceiling comes down Urbar grabs his opportunity. He spits on the man as he lies unconscious on the floor.
"Good riddance... Filthy fool."

![]() |
The man's madness seems to have no effect on Fiona, who gestures towards him, smiling and chanting a few arcane words.
Slumber Hex on the surviving conscious man (red, I guess?), DC 15 against Will.

StephNyan |

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Fiona's unaffected by the man's madness and gestures toward him, smiling as she puts him to sleep with one of her hexes.
From the sleeping man's mouth comes a trail of mist. His features also change, becoming less savage.
Combat's over!
Now the fight's calmed down you heard screams from a large steel cabinet at the back of the office. "Get away! Leave me be! Aaaah! Just go awaaay!"

![]() |

Perking up at the calls for help, Vicard approaches the cabinet. He also takes in the room...
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
As he walks over he spots some paper. He reads it to the group at large. "Three Tik Taan Idols, courtesy of Lugizar Trantos."
Upon reaching the cabinet the investigator speaks to the person inside.
"Friend or foe?" Vicard assumes if the person is sane enough to not be a drooling madman, he is on their side. He nods to Gwen and urbar to guard him, as he kneels forward to open the cabinet.
I only open it IF Gwen or Urbar have ready actions to fight if some horrible thing comes boiling out!
If locked I will open it...
Disable Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

![]() |

Tereze moves into the room and checks to be sure both madmen are just out, then takes out her rope and ties both of them up, starting with the sleeping one, trying her best to tie both their hands and feet.
note if either of them are bleeding and not just out she casts Stabalize first
Looking at the others she says Just to be safe, we do not know what it will take to beak zis curse. We do not want zem attacking us again.
Then she stands and seeing Vicard ready says: If ye be friend, come out slowly and you will not be harmed. Your companions are secured for now. Why if you cooperate we might even get you safely out of zis cursed place.

![]() |

"Also... we will take any particulalry bone made weapons."

![]() |

Urbar moves towards the closet. He poises his sword to cut open any enemies coming from the closet and nods to Vicard and Tereze. He waits for their sign to attack.
The moment the person comes from the closet and doesn't notice Urbar he will slowly creep up on the person. When just behind him he will make himself noticed.
"Boo..."

StephNyan |

When employed in this manner, the cloth is a reusable item, allowing a bard to use it as many times a day as he can countersong.
While Tereze stabilizes one of the men and ties both up, Vicard unlocks the steel cabinet. Inside the cabinet is an obese man, who immediately increases the volume with which he screams. "Oooh no! Go away! Leave me be! Someone help me! Nooo!"
Diplomacy rolls may aid your words.

![]() |

"Hi!"
The elf waves with a friendly smile.
Diplomancy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

![]() |

Vicard turns to Ery and says incredulously, "Hi? You went with 'hi'? The investigator gives him a withering stare and turns back tot he fat man.
"My name is Vicard Inck. Me, and my friends here, are members of the Pathfinder society. We are here to help you. Now, tell us who you are, please?
Diplomacy Aid Another: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

![]() |
The obese man's screams unsettle Fiona, who steps backwards until the man stops screaming. She tries to pay more attention to the two madmen, but can't concentrate enough in order to think about something to say to them.

StephNyan |

The screaming man immediately calls down when Eryzule addresses him. "Good afternoon, sir."
The man steps out of the cabinet and gives Vicard a nod. His jowls quaver and shake with terror as he recounts his tale. "My name's Saldak. The offices... they suddenly flooded with a strange mist early this morning... Tendrils of it seemed to pour down two of my colleagues throats, after which they went stark mad and beat poor Milgen to a pulp..."
Saldak's face turns red and he goes into a fit. "I'm sure these Tik Taan idols are responsible for what's going on! I smelled something wrong with those hideous monkey-faced things as soon as Lugizar brought them out of his pack! I've a nose for trouble, I do! No one listens!"
When he's calmed down Saldak points at the cloth Vicard's holding. "A wizard could use that as a scroll, but it'll only work once that way. I suggest you use it to bring Nigel back to his senses, if the mists have taken his wits and you encounter him. He's the museum's curator and was taking stock of the pieces in storage, at the other side of the corridor."

![]() |

So I guess it is the mist zat is causing ze madness as we saw ze mist come out of zat one when he fell unconscious.
So ze room across ze hall is an archive, can you tell us about ze room at ze end of ze main hall, or any other people who might have been in the building?

![]() |

"SO...if we recall: bone weapons. Likely in mentioned stock holdings. Perhaps the sleuth can stealth in?"

![]() |

Urbar remains next to the closet. Waiting for the man to finish talking.

![]() |

Mesmerized, Gwen stares at the strange mists pouring out of the men they had just beaten into unconsciousness. She assists Tereze in binding the men so that they cannot continue to attack them when they regain consciousness. "Who is this Milgen you mentioned? Is he still alive?"

StephNyan |

"The hall at the back is the North Exhibit Hall, where the Tik Taan are on display," Saldak tells you.
"Nigel should be the only one left. Milgen is... dead... They beat him to a pulp. Not sure what happened to his body..." Saldak tries to resist the urge to throw up when he thinks of what could've happened to his colleague.

![]() |

we have some decisions to make here, Pathfinders.
She counts off the questions on her fingers as she recites them.
First where do we go next: ze archive or after ze idols?
Second : who can use that scrap of cloth Vicard is holding. Ery, I am guessing you would have ze best chance. I might be able to use it, but I am more zen a little out of practice reading my fathers scrolls.
Third: What do we do with zose two? I saw the mist come out of one, but I do not know if it came out of both. Do we risk taking zem out of here if the mist is still controlling zem?
Obviously we should get Saldak out of here before something else comes around.
Personally, I zink we should get all zree of zem out of here and zen wake zem up. If they are all calm then look into the Archive and try to rescue Nigel before we tackle ze Idols. Better to rescue ze innocents before we trigger whatever defenses ze Monkey Statues have. But we need to be careful whatever we do, I still do not trust ze mist.

![]() |

"Muscles, Urbar. Go right ahead! Ill be behind you... Doing the only sensible thing that makes sense in a mad house. Tea."
The elf takes a moment to place his tea set upon a near by table or desk and preps tea. With the help of prestidigitation, it doesn't take long.

![]() |

"I think that sounds like a good plan of action, Tereze. We can drag these two out of the mists and perhaps keep them bound until we know for sure whether they are over this... miasma..." she gestures towards the mists around them. "Rescuing those innocents should be our first priority before looking further into these monkey things..."

![]() |

Still behind the man Urbar talks up.
"My worry is if one of us turns into one of those puppets. I can't imagine Gwen here choking me, that would be... bad."
He looks at the two guys on the ground.
"Best get them out first and worry about those things later. "
He nudges one of the unconscious guys with the tip of his boot. If he doesn't bite or respond he will lift him on his shoulder to carry him out.

![]() |

"Alright then. Muscles, Urbar, Go-to! We'll follow behind."
The elf pours himself a a cup of tea, having made only enough for himself. Use the spell that aided him earlier, he cleans the pot quickly and reassembles his carrying case, save for the cup in hand.

![]() |

Gwen smirks at Urbar's comment. "And I thought you were into that weird stuff, like Ery." She chuckles and claps the ranger on the shoulder as she passes by him to scoop up the other unconscious man. She kneels down next to him and then hefts him up onto her shoulder. "Let's go, time is wasting."

![]() |

"Right behind you."
The elf chuckles, a loud slurp echoing from his lips and cup.

![]() |

Follow me, I will lead as you both have your hands full. Vicard you take ze rear and make sure nothing surprises us from behind.
With that Tereze leads the way back into the honored Dead room and into the hall/Entry chamber. She has her club in hand and is watching carefully for any threats against her fellow Pathfinders.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 11

![]() |

Still strangely diffident, Vicard watches the rear, scanning the disheveled room one last time.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
His sharp ears pick up anything and his eyes, wide in the gloom, catch all that moves. Even the print of the crumpled papers are clear to him as the group trudges through them.

StephNyan |

Saldak jumps up when Urbar speaks up. "How long have you been there?!"
There's nothing else to find in the room, or on your way back outside. Once outside you place the captured office workers against the building. Saldak stands near them.
"Do you want to test if they're alright now?" Saldak asks hesitantly. "They do look less savage than before..."

![]() |

Tereze gently attempts to wake them up without loosing their bonds.

![]() |

Assuming we eventually reach the door to the next area fine and dandy...
With another loud slurp, the elf kicks the door lightly with his boot. just enough to produce an echoing knock, assuming it can even do so. He begins to speak to any odd possessive spirits if any can hear or are around...
"Hello? Anything about? Look, I thought I'd just ask that you just leave and go somewhere else. I mean that would then allow us to resume the more important things, like dancing and drinking."
The elf leans against the wall near the door.
"Skipping the fighting would only allow us to go further and end this, much sooner then the foreplay, which I'm curtain you lack a gentle touch. I'm not saying your not experienced however, I am saying that your resistance to defeat is meaningless. So, Y'know... Just be undone and go."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

![]() |
Before Tereze wakes up the two madmen, Fiona signals her to stop for a moment, and whispers a few words next to each of their ears while caressing their faces with her hands. "That might help them become a little more helpful," she coyly remarks.
Charm hex on both men, DC 14 vs. Will. If they need to be awake, she'll do it right after Tereze wakes each one.

StephNyan |

Tereze's attempt to gently wake the captives up works on the one who was asleep. The other continues to be unconscious due to blood loss. A few quick questions reveals that the office worker is back to his regular self. He doesn't seem to remember anything that's happened since the moment he breathed in the mist.
"It must've been the Tik Taan," the man tells Tereze, "they must've taken control over me."
Saldak agrees to see to his colleagues, and you head back inside the building. Eryzule immediately heads over to the hall across the room that held undead. A large placard above the entryway to this hall reads "Hunting the Beasts of Legend" in great block letters.
This gigantic chamber is relatively free of mist, and darkness is held at bay by braziers of radiant light. Behemoths occupy these halls, great taxidermy nightmares such as a two-headed bear easily taller than an ogre; a great desiccated beetle, its carapace larger than the face of the grand clocktower of Absalom; a massive specimen of chimera, its jaws open in a mock roar; and an assembled skeleton of a tyrant lizard. The walls here are studded with strange masks, staves, spears, and other implements of long forgotten cultures, most likely used in ritual hunts of the beasts preserved here.

![]() |

"Alright then, you wont mind if I look around."
Ery says with only half a mind as he peruses the antiques. He looks for a bone object, something that would allow combat of Tik Taan to be dealt with, should the need arise.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
