Yes, it does seem like there is something alive in the room south of the brain room.

Hugo moves back into the original room and prepares to help dispatch the kytons.

We may have company from the south. We do not want to be fighting on two or three fronts.

The buff list is up to date. I have only put longer duration (1min/level or more) buffs in there. Anything which is rounds per level is in the spoiler above. Divine favour has now run out, divine vessel, dust form and blessing of fervour are all still active. I will also add them to the buff list.

"Dearies, p'raps we shouldna wander too far apart in 'ere? And I wouldna count on magics like Dimension Door - though it's one of me favorite magics - to reunite us. Didna we already hear that such magics may not work here in this Mount?"

Agata and Sweet Mawd will return to the chapel to be with her companions. Agata will continue cackling to maintain the Misfortune on the (hopefully soon-to-be-dead) kytons.

I think this is currently round 6, in which case Haste has expired. Also,
Longarm has expired on Sweet Mawd. I've updated the buff list to remove both entries.

Urko rides out into the main plaza, causing concern among the placid androids. The female looking android he speaks to shakes her head, astounded. Suddenly, one of the androids previously identified as evil grabs another by the throat and shouts: We will be the end of you outsider. Lay down your weapons or this b~&@& dies."

Meanwhile, the Pathfinders, concerned by a potential threat to the south, huddle back around the Red Rose who skewers the only other unconscious kyton, the other twitching and rasping as it returns to consciousness. However, the deacon's cries for help have ceased. Completely. Which makes the kyton within the resilient sphere cackle wildly.

Marduk! You are the closest to the Deacon and to Urko. What would you like to do?

Marduk spots the deacon, suspended to the wall by gore-encrusted shackles. Besides him, another Kyton, this one covered in white rags, with some sort of lipstick upon it's sewn lip. A metal barrette is pinned to her chest, adorned with Androfen script. The Deacon looks passed out and it look like he's taken several wounds to his stomach, and seems to have been placed in a place of "honor" between two horrific sculptures half-emerging from the walls. The rest of the room is a grotesque assembly of star tech, flesh and bone. Flayed skin has been unraveled and tattooed with unholy script as metallic skeletal corpses has been welded to the walls, some in lascivious embraces, others stretching out from the wall, as if trapped and attempting to extricate themselves out.

What would you like to do with your standard?

Meanwhile, back in the chamber the remaining kyton thrashes as it attempts to shake off the aftereffects of VC Nalshene's clolor spray. Narshala, with a snarl attempts to remedy it's problem. Unfortunately unless Narshala has something I don't remember ongoing, the damage she inflicts isn't nearly enough to kill it. The activity seems to have rid herself of the sickness.

Urko takes the extra AC etc for BoF. The daylight was on me so not sure if that means the deeper darkness was back. I think Miranda has a heightened continual flame.

Urko settles his gaze on the creature holding the poor android hostage. You have made a grave mistake. We do not negotiate with terrorists.

He places one hand on Artemis and murmurs a brief spell and then floats away from her towards the second source of evil, recovering his morning star as he goes.

Urko casts quickened divine favour on Artemis and himself, SR DC28: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 so it fails on Artemis, fast dismounts (he cannot fail the check) and moves towards the second creature taking a move action to recover his weapon. He ends his movement 10' above the creature

Surrender now and you may be allowed to leave unharmed. he says to the creature. Turning to address the crowd he calls out, People of Silver Mount, return to your homes, you will be safe their until this crisis is over

Bluff: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25
Given the Kytons which are about Urko does not particularly believe that anyone is safe

He turns to regard the creature which has grabbed one of the andriods, Artemis, Kill!

I'm getting a definite Event Horizon vibe from this whole thing.

"I don't know what your game is with him and the rest of these people but it's over", Marduk growls. "Burn."

With a swift arcane gesture, the beastly orc conjures a javelin of smoldering flame in each enormous paw. With a grunt he hurls them into the center of the space where they erupt in a brief, but intense, inferno catching both hellish creatures at their edges.

That's a rough estimate on the origin point. It shouldn't be too hard to catch both of them without hitting the Deacon.

She didn't, I admit, I completely forgot, focused as I was on Narshala ending bozo's life. So you have a turn. You can take it now!

@Urko: I'm pretty sure that DF is overkill at this point, but sure! Just remind me if Artemis' attacks count as good aligned. Maybe if you get really, really distracted he'll bounce back in the next half-hour if they aren't.

Nalshene, is there any reason these rounds of blindness would stack with the others or themselves?

Nalshene reaches for heavenly radiance and allows for it to burst out, twice. The kyton shrieks, but with her mouth sewn shut, the sound isn't as horrid as it otherwise might have been. Meanwhile, Marduk sends forth two red-orange beads of energy which explode on contact, missing the Deacon but overcoming the other kytons' natural immunity to spells to blast them with scorching heat.

The androids around begin to shy away from the pathfinder, as Artemis turns one of the camouflaged kytons into a pile of rancid meat.

By the time we got to the claw, we were well into beyond negative Con, without even stopping at a point where you could have left it unconscious if you had wanted to. The murder train stops for noone!

But as the kyton beneath begins to quake, a tendril lashes out from the plant life in the center of the fountain, slamming into the unaware oracle. It tries to find purchase upon him, but thanks to his protective spells, it is unable to, but it nonetheless goes and attempts to hit Urko three additional times. Forewarned, he avoids most of the hits, with only one further lucky strike hitting him. As he reels from the hits, he can smell the cloying scent of the plant assaulting his senses, urging him to calm down, but he pushes such thoughts aside as a fine dusting of glowing pollen covers him.

Urko, can I get a Will save, DC 19 (aka don't roll a 1).

Up above, another android begins to shout blasphemous words of inspiration as another on the main floor shouts another unholy word and sound ceases to be around him. The one threatened by Urko moves past him to join another to slam into Artemis. Unconcerned by the possibility of being hit by the oracle, he misses the animal companion completely, unlike his companion, who hits a nerve on the giant feline.

Urko, you also have an AoO against the Red Watchful (that's the formal name for these kytons). Artemis also gets one with her size hugeness. (I almost forgot that).

Urko currently has DR10/Evil due to divine vessel, I should have added that to my stat line but missed it sorry. He and artemis are also both incorporeal due to dust form which would make them immune to attacks which are not magical or take half damage from those which are. Does that make a difference?

Urko will save: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 24

Bloody hell! There's a ruddy great plant out here people! he shouts out as the scent wafts over him and the branch, tendril, thing, slams into him.

Knowledge nature: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

As the enemy below him tries to move in on Artemis Urko takes a swing with his Morningstar. Oh no you don't!

He sweeps at the creatures legs, trying to trip it!

CMB, height, heroism, df: 1d20 + 25 + 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 25 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 52
This provokes but as Urko currently has 10' reach it shouldn't matter as it wont be able to take it without reach itself. If this is actually an evil outsider then that will also trigger Eaglesoul giving him an extra +2

Eaglesoul:

If he attacks an evil outsider then the normal benefits end in favour of the following for a number of rounds equal to the number of hours left on the duration:
+4 sacred bonus to strength
+2 sacred bonus to AC
Resist acid and fire 5
Fast healing 2
Auto confirm all threats on evil creatures

Can you let me know if it has triggered please

Artemis will roar at the enemy but given the number of people about, both attacking enemies and non combatant androids, I am not sure she would take opportunity attacks against anyone she hasn't yet been directed to attack. I certainly don't want her attacking fleeing androids so she will forgo any opportunity attacks until the area is clear of innocent bystanders.

Dust Form:

Dust Form
Upon casting this spell, you keep your relative form, but you and your equipment become composed entirely of dust. While in this dust form, you take no penalties for squeezing, and can move through spaces as if you were a creature three size categories smaller without penalty. You are also considered incorporeal, though any nonmagical attack you make deals half damage (50%). Magic attacks are unaffected, and you can still use your magic items and other equipment as normal.

For a minute there, I was feeling bad about the amount of bad guys you have to deal with. :D

Ignore that damage, you took nothing. Thank your incorporealness!
Also, you can't provoke an AoO off of an AoO you would take. But I'm not sure if you can take an attack that would provoke on an AoO. I'll look into it.

Eaglesoul did trigger on the AoO, no matter if it is a trip or a regular attack.

Sorry for the delay in posting - it was my daughter's first birthday yesterday and Thanksgiving today so I've been busy with family stuff.

Btw, someone asked about Haste - it has expired because it was cast from a scroll - only 5 rounds duration.

@GM, before I take my move, would you mind giving us an overall update of the situation? In particular, a few things that I'm unclear about:

a) Do those of us who are still back in the chapel have any idea about what is happening with the party members who have left? I don't believe we have Message up, so do we have any way to know what is going on or where they went?

b) Is DimDooring to the location of either of our companions an option? Do we need to know where they are or have been in that location before (I know we walked around the area awhile before entering the chapel but it's not clear if we were in the spots where our companions have gone)? Also, we were told before we entered the Mount that teleportation magic doesn't work here (but we saw the Deacon seemingly dimdoor away)? Or perhaps we were told that we couldn't teleport *into* the Mount, but not that it won't work while we are inside?

c)Aside from the kyton who is stuck in the resilient sphere, are there any of them still left alive in the chapel? Was CDG-ing them not an option? (Agata doesn't have any way to do that but presumably the others still in the chapel could have).

d) We've heard allusions to other shapes moving around in the area to the south of the room that the brain oozes were in, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the map. I'm - ooc - unclear about whether we have other (potential) enemies in front of us, or if we should leave (either by DimDoor or by movement) to go towards our friends (if we know where they are).

I hope that all makes sense - basically I'm just asking for an overview of where things stand right now. Once it's time to take their turn, both Agata and Sweet Mawd will avert their gaze from the kytons and then we are happy to dim door to the rest of the party if that is an option. Alternatively we will move in that direction by flying, but not until the rest of the party leaves the chapel. Agata and Sweet Mawd don't want to wander around this place by themselves!

The kyton not only survived Miranda's attacks, it also survived Hugo's attacks. Hugo, what does EO stand for? And do you bypass DR/Good or Silver? The creature survives even if you do deal full damage but it might make a difference for the next turn.

@Agata: a) I would surmise you can hear the roar of a fireball or two coming from beyond the Resilient Sphere. I'd like to say that you can hear creams of pain, but as these guy's screams unleash maddening darkness, that isn't something you hear. Beyond that, I would say there is nothing that would lead you to know what is going on with Urko in the main atrium.
b)You can certainly attempt to DimDoor, and no, it doesn't require you to know where you are going (although teleporting a certain distance opens you to being in a solid object when you get to your arrival point). For the sake of simplicity, if you want to try and DimDoor to the Deacon or Marduk, not having seen that location won't be a factor. You have not been shown around the entire backstage area though, yours was a straightforward trip to the "chapel", thus no you haven't seen the area Marduk is causing havoc in. With regards to what you were told, I'm going to quote what Captain Zernebeth said:

Zernebeth wrote:
"It seems that teleport is not possible within Silver Mount. Neither is Gating. It almost feels like there's a Dimensional Lock effect in place. (...) Perhaps more information will be available once you get there."

Does she have all the information though? Probably not. And I stand by what I said: it looks like the Deacon DimDoored away (or was DimDoored away)
c)CdG was an option for those that were helpless. Blue might be blind for the rest of his life (literally) and stunned, he is not helpless. He's just hanging there with a 19 AC waiting for people to turn him into a hentai mosaic.
d)Shapes have been spotted, but I have not placed any potential bad guys there precisely because until you move to a position where you have LoS into the room, what is in there and where specifically it is is anyone's guess. So, depending on whether your character trusts VC Victor, there may or may not be something there. He's seen something moving in there. Is it bad guys? A robotic arm assembling things in there? An animated colossal sized Zon-Kuthon action figure? Right now you know not. You can go and check, and I certainly wouldn't chastise you for being cautious, but I am not going to just reveal things if you aren't in a position to find out.

So, given that information, I believe that both Agata and Sweet Maud still have an action pending.

As both venture-captain Victor and Miranda tear into the spasming kyton, Nalshene mounts Narshala.

Narshala takes her turn further along. I'll have her move on her turn towards the door you came through, sound fair? Also, you still have a standard by my counting Nalshene.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to crawl back to my couch and wonder why I ate so much. Also, congratulations to the birthday girl! Go Sagittarius!!!

Let me know if there are any further questions. Marduk, quick question: Do you have any darkness-defeating abilities/items currently being used?

Many thanks for those very clear answers. In that case, and since it seems that Hugo has used his action to attack the kyton, Agata will do the dim door herself (she has it prepped as part of her standard load out of spells - I meant to swap it out when we heard about teleportation not working in the Mount, but I forgot to actually do it). First, she will delay until after Sweet Mawd's action (effectively swapping them in the initiative order) to allow Sweet Mawd to shoot a few more magic missiles into the blue kyton. Then she will move 10' north and descend to 10' above the ground in order to be adjacent to the Red Rose. I believe that will allow her to dim door herself, Red Rose, Hugo, and Sweet Mawd. She has capacity for 2 more Medium, which would let her take Nalshene or Narshala, but not both. She would also have to delay until after Nalshene to allow Nalshene to move adjacent (but Nalshene comes after her in the init order, so that should be possible if Nalshene would prefer to come via dim door and send Narshala to join us by foot - @Nalshene, just tell me if you want to do this, otherwise I'll assume you are sticking with your previously stated intention to mount Narshala and move overland).

Actions & Dice:

Averting gaze, high is good for me: 1d100 ⇒ 2 erk
Fort save vs gaze attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17 double erk! I rolled a nat 1, so I've failed the save vs the gaze attack, which may change my ability to cast dim door, depending on what the effect of the gaze is.
@GM: in the initiative track it states that you need a Fort save at the start of the creature's turn vs the gaze. I assume this is at the start of *my* turn, not the kyton's, yes? Because if it's at the start of the kyton's turn, then it's possible that Agata will no longer be in his presence by that point. Anyway, just let me know if I'm affected by the gaze and if in fact the gaze doesn't trigger until after we've left, if you want me to use the same nat 1 for the next save that I need to roll.
Move action to move 10' north and descend to 10' in the air.
Standard action to cast Dimension Door, taking Sweet Mawd, Red Rose/Miranda, Hugo, (and also either Nalshene or Narshala if they wish) and attempting to dim door to the location where I think the Deacon is. Let me know if you need a skill check of some kind to ascertain where that would be. Perception? Here's a Perception roll, just in case: Perception to target the location of the deacon: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (9) + 28 = 37

Agata attempts to avert her gaze from the blue Sacristan kyton, not so much because she fears its stare - she has already given it the evil eye herself - but because she feels a bit ashamed to be leaving her fashion nemesis alive. Nevertheless, she is unable to avoid taking one last peak at the offending needles jutting from the Sacristan's head, and in so doing, finds herself meeting the gaze of the blinded foe.

"Well, dearies, it's toodle-oo for now. I hate to leave while you are still alive, but it seems that there are even more pressing matters to attend to. Au Revoir, cheries..."

Just before Agata (hopefully) teleports them to the location of the Deacon, Sweet Mawd blasts a few more magic missiles into the blue Sacristan kyton (I went back and looked through the thread. Sweet Mawd cannot fail the UMD check to activate the Staff of Minor Arcana to cast Magic Missile (CL 8) at the blue kyton.

Averting Gaze, high is good for me: 1d100 ⇒ 18
Fort Save vs. gaze: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 +2 vs fear, poison

The update might have to wait until I can get the website's interface to resemble something usable. Stay tuned! (I'm hoping whatever this is gets better by tomorrow.)

Edit:Or , you know it could just be Google chrome doing sometime weird. Thank God for Firefox! Update incoming.

Yes, I copy-pasted that wrong.

Sweet Maud's magic missiles finally put the creature down, it's ecstatic whimpers dying away; however, not before Agata looks into it's blinded eyes to see ... Incomprehensible madness. Thus she is only able to fly down to her companions, staggered as she is.

The "android" keeps laughing uproariously, taunting you in Androffan, predicting your deaths.

One of the nurses Marduk has burned away retreats to an alcove beyond.

In the Atrium, another "android" approaches Urko and Artemis, while in the walkways above, another begins to sing.

Agata delayed until after Sweet Mawd took her turn (with the intention of letting her fire a final round of magic missiles before dimension dooring away, and also to allow her to move into position). Since the kyton died on Sweet Mawd's turn, would that spare Agata the need to save against its gaze attack? Regardless of the answer, the two of them should now be swapped in the initiative order.

@Agata: I've been thinking about it for a while now, and after going either way on it, I'm going to say that you must have made your save on this round, resulting in you being staggered. Here's my justification. Delay is a special initiative action that you make on your turn. In order for it to be your turn, we must arrive to your original initiative count. If we arrive to your initiative count, any saves that must be made at the beginning of your turn must occur then, prior to any decisions made. The gaze save being one made at the beginning of your turn, you needed to roll that save in order to delay.

Marduk's beams char the flesh of the remaining nurse, leaving the room empty, save for the suspended body of the Deacon, whose steady breathing indicates that he may still be alive.

@Nalshene: Feel free to double check, but this is as far as Narshala gets you, double moving while flying. You are definitely going back towards the atrium and Urko/Artemis. I counted 180 feet of movement.

@GM, makes sense. Are you still waiting for Agata and Swwet Mawd to act? They are still bold, but I think they've acted (Sweet Mawd magic missile & move, Agata staggered move only) unless I've somehow fallen behind and that was last round? Also, their init order should now be swapped.

Nope, that's just me missing that I still had them bolded. You have acted, and I'll swap their init order again next chance I get.

Turning to the giant plant monster Urko promptly tries to beat it to death! He seizes his morning star in both hands and slams at it over and over.

Taking the extra attack from blessing of fervour, using the morning star two handed at -1 due to the buckler and losing his shield bonus to AC for this round leaving him at AC37. If it matters all of his attacks count as good aligned.

As he fights he shouts out, hoping some of the group might be able to hear him. We have more trouble in here people, we might want to try and regroup a bit.

I'm confused as to where and how you are getting a slam natural attack you can use with a weapon you are wielding two-handed. If you could shed some light on that, that would be super special awesome!

Divine vessel gives two slam attacks. Slam attacks are not necessarily associated with any particular limb and could be made with kicks or headbuts as easily with fists. See for example, animated objects, assassin vines, basidironds, all oozes, darkmantles, dolphins etc none of which have arms as such.

They do become secondary natural attacks when used with a manufactured weapon and therefore take -5 to hit and only do half strength damage
