That creates a 35' radius bubble around Torvald in which all forms of invisibility are negated.

May I use the squid and pretzel stalls' rolls from my last post? They both move up and ready attacks for when the vampire reappears (which should be just about now). The cheese stall stands guard.


Torvald cancels out the vampire's illusion, and the mobile snack bars land a single blow on it, though without that much of an impact, but still enough to knock it down.

Torvald looks over the boat and then over to Arrano and down at Ka. You can rely on a flimsy little lake craft if you want or Ka and Arrano can carry Shel and Bauble and Nuar can rely on his own overland flight. Vladek, do you have the spell as well? If not Ka can probably carry you and Bauble together.

Ka's light load is 466lbs. He carries 75lbs of his own equipment, Torvald weighs 140lbs and he carries 121lbs of his own gear. Ka can carry another 130lbs before he reaches a medium load. If anyone has an ant haul available his light load becomes 1398lbs.

I had been saying Nuar casts his hour per level buffs in the morning but on reflection I'm not sure why he would. We were here for Kamilah's tomb. I think he would have been saving the buffs before entering the tomb but once we learned of the vampires he would have cast them a bit before we expected to do the ambush instead. So by that theory we are maybe an hour or two into several buffs including Overland Flight.


Having the rocs carry another medium sized creature + gear might be pushing their limits, so Shel, Bauble and Vladek are in the boat (perhaps joined by Naur later).

You steer the boat across the lake's still waters, following the unnatural mist with the roc-riders and Naur flying overhead.

Doesn't it? Don't I just have to beat its grab roll (which was 28)?

Also, I made that roll assuming I'd been allowed to take back/hadn't actually done my previously-posted actions since Naur went before me. That means that either:

I didn't actually go before and I get my two actions now (and still have my folio reroll),
OR
we did perform our actions as previously posted, and my Escape Artist roll was actually '40', because I didn't include grease in that last roll.


@Vladek: You need to beat the snake's static CMD, but with Grease, Naur's Liberating command does break you free.
I always resolve actions in order of posting (just to clear that up).

Seeing the danger below Torvald mutters a pair of swift incantations and directs Ka down towards the serpent attacking Shel.

Torvald casts freedom of movement on himself and then grace on Ka as a swift action using the share spells with companion ability. This allows Ka to move without provoking.

Ka swoops down and around, moving in to flank the monstrous creature with Shel.
