Excellent, I'll pencil them in! Feel better soon, Brock. ;)
@Forrest: That's all good to know, thanks.

Alright, I'm ready! Weapon focus for some better to hit rolls. Class ability for more damage and initiative. And intimidate as a Swift action!!!

Going into Fencing Grace?

![]() |

Slightly delayed due to an unannounced day with the inlaws (whom I do not get along with very well) and me spending my rare moments with my laptop playing Battletech.
Updated now. Relevent points are just more HP, +1 BAB, Dazzling Display Cavalier feat, which means I can do it as a standard action and get a +2 melee attack rolls against demoralized foes (should synergize nicely with Forrests new intimidate in a pinch). No purchases for gold, I'd like to use 2 PP to grab a full CLW wand.
Doesn't look like I'll get the 2500 I need before next level for mithral breastplate, sad :(

![]() |

Keep forgetting to mention it. But Yaiho has a Wand of CLW for our healers to use also.

![]() |

Yes, Fencing Grace seems to be mandatory in order to get my damage up. I am thinking of going down the Intimidate feat chains to add more uses other than damage.

![]() |

hehe... should be fun when Brock, Forrest, and Yaiho decide to Intimidate the same person.

GM ShieldBug |

Hehe, y'all are going to be famous for making even the most unshakeable of foes tremble with fear. :)
Brock, don't worry, you'll get that pretty darn easily before the next level. For the next 3 scenarios, you'll be getting out of tier gold! ;)
Thanks for the updates, guys!

My next enchantment for my Earthbreaker is going to be Furious. Furious adds a +2 Enchantment to weapon while Raging. Which would make his weapon a +3 Earthbreaker while Raging. But will cost me 6,000 gp for the upgrade.
I'm thinking about enchanting his armor first though.

![]() |

I always wanted to run a barbarian with Sunder Enchantments and Eater of Magic. Because screw wizards and their spells.

That might synergize well when Brock demoralizes all our foes with a recounting of his awesomeness (Dazzling Display). I have thought about the intimidate chains as well, not sure where I'm going next with my feats other than Chain Challenge at 7

![]() |

hehe... the third enchantment I want on the Earthbreaker is Sharding. Basically it allows you to use any melee weapon as a thrown weapon with a 10' range. Imagine Yaiho using his Earthbreaker as a range weapon.
I visualize Thor throwing his hammer at an enemy but his hammer is as big as him.

Okay, it was a long day (particularly bad Monday) away from PbP, time for Arin to catch up.

GM ShieldBug |

Sorry folks, but it'll be another late update today. On the plus side, you'll have plenty of time to catch up Arin. ;)

![]() |

Gah! Danicka! You tool that last spot on City of Strangers I waited one poopy diaper too long to sign up for!

![]() |

Hahahaha!
If you REALLY want it you can have my spot. Otherwise 'Na-na-na-na naaa naaa!'

![]() |

Nah, I didn't have the magus I want to run built yet anyway. Enjoy.

![]() |

I will! Kaer Maga's my favourite location in Golarion. I've GMed there a lot, but never had a chance to visit as a player.

![]() |

I think that's good, we've steamrolled everything up to this point

![]() |

I was so hoping to get a Crit on my Earthbreaker attack. If you assumed I rolled about the same on the dice for my crit, that would've been around 72 damage.
Could you imagine the 'Holy S&^t' that would've came from our two Nobles and the porters.

GM ShieldBug |

That's what I thought, Brock, until I saw how nasty that poison is... It got me a little scared for y'all. Fortunately, Yaiho saved, but who knows what'll happen next time. Keeps things exciting, though. :)
Haha, there would certainly be a lot of respect gained from the war-veteran / hunter if you knocked the snake right out of its skin with a hit like that. :)

![]() |

Yeah. Real nasty poison. Hope Yaiho saves next round too without being bitten again.

![]() |

Now that Yaiho is healed a bit, next round Arin can cast Doom on the cobra.

GM ShieldBug |

Using the 24 hour rule, I decided to bot you, Rook, but I didn't see any kind of instructions in your profile. Usually I wouldn't use any consumables without permission, but throwing a bomb seemed like the right thing to do given the situation. In hindsight, given some of those rolls, it maybe would have been best if I just delayed you as I was originally tempted to do. Sorry.
Let me know how you'd want me to act in the future. ;)

That is fine. I am super sorry as my laptop decided to crap out when I left to go out of town.
I keep forgetting to add bot blocks to my profile.
No worries on the rolls, it happens.

Was looking at various enchantments I can save up for with my armor. Of course, I'll have to get a +1 first. But second enchantment, I found Bloodthirsty. When you hit with a natural weapon (Razortusk) or a melee weapon (Earthbreaker) you gain a +1 to AC or +3 to AC if Raging.

^That bloodthirsty looks awesome!!! Totally you.
I will be at Paizocon this weekend, so my posting will be limited to once per day. (By the way, I LOVE this group.)

![]() |

Too slow, Arin!
Ug, yeah, it was a long day...

GM ShieldBug |

No problem, Forrest. Have fun!
Bloodthirsty sounds like it'll suit you nicely, Yaiho. :)

![]() |

Lol, Arin comes in and makes Brock and I look friendly, comparatively!!!

So, to "simulate" Abyssal I found a site that translates to R'lyehian (basically Lovecraftian/Cthulu speak). I like the effect.

GM ShieldBug |

That's a great choice for Abyssal, Arin! Would you mind sharing a link, just in case something starts talking back to you one of these days? :)
In other news, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be unable to make any posts tomorrow or Wednesday. More mad preparations for the move. ;)

![]() |

Phew, good luck!!! The prep is the worst part. Thanks for letting us know!

![]() |

Good luck!

You bet: https://lingojam.com/RLyehian
Good luck with the move!

GM ShieldBug |

Thanks guys!
LingoJam looks like it could be a lot of fun, Arin, thanks for the link. :)

GM ShieldBug |

I hope you don't mind me saying you used the vermin repellent. I figured that since you made them based on information about the lowlands, you would use them as soon as mosquitoes showed up. It just saved a bit of time. ;)

I love how Danicka's consistent diplomatic approach is trying to convince the bad guys not to commit "suicide by Brock, Forrest, Rook and Yaiho".

It's like good natured intimidation! We all play the good cop/bad cop (s) thing really well!
Different subject: In a few weeks, I am planning on GMing a Starfinder game of Incident at Absalom Station. It's the first book of the Starfinder adventure path. I want to give you guys first dibs to play in it, if you are interested. Would any of you like to play? (No pressure!)

![]() |

I'd love too! But I'll need to, uh, read the rulebook first.
Been meaning to do that anyway.

![]() |

Oh yes! You can definitely count me in for it.

![]() |

Normally I would love to, but at the moment I'm not that interested in learning a new system. Thanks for the offer though.

![]() |

Yes, I would love to get in on a SF adventure path. I've barely broken into that game with 2 or 3 SFS scenarios.

![]() |

Awesome! I will save 3 slots for you guys!
Brock and Arin, this is a really good introduction to Starfinder. It starts slowly, introducing new mechanics at a good pace.
Danicka and Shieldbug, you are more than welcome to join as well!

![]() |

Great! I have this idea for a creepy gnome... joking joking.
The interesting thing about starfinder is that I don't feel so invested in classes or races that such preferences hinder open character concepts. So I might throw out some pretty random concepts and see where it lands.

hehe... here is a character concept for you. Here!

A burly solarian who opens a pilates gym with a groan-inducing name after several failed attempts at joining a local soldiers guild or union. He likes to build things for himself, and for a time studied physics in his free time.
He's brusque, proud of his self-sufficiency, but has an embarrassing tendency to sleep-walk.
Sidequest: as he embarks on his adventuring phase of life he has to hire an assistant that he can trust to run the gym while he's away.
Let us know when the campaign thread opens so I can stop spamming here :P

GM ShieldBug |

Thanks for the awesome offer Forrest! However, as much as it pains me, I'm going to have to pass due to time constraints. I'd love to play in one of your games sometime though, perhaps when the craziness here dies down a little?
