Understandably, GM! It will run during your crazy times, I forgot about that! I'll be sure to let you know when I do another!

![]() |

Oh, I'd love to, but I'm already playing it and GMing it for my kids. I have to pass. Let me know next time you run something!

![]() |

Perusing the rulebook (looks good and the rules seem easy enough to transfer) I am shocked thry got away with the picture of the "snub nose scattergun" as it looks like it was pulled right from Mass Effect.
I like the whole no iteratives setup, those always annoyed me after level 10 or so.
I think I'll probably go with some type of mercenary/soldier Rifleman switch hitter.
The lizard guys seem cool, but I'm leaning towards android maybe
"I need your clothes your boots and your motorcycle"

![]() |

Ooh, awesome! To not detract from this Discussion thread, I went ahead and made the Campaign for the SF game here. Dot in and we can keep chatting!

![]() |

Rook and Arin, I see you're not dotted into the new campaign yet so I thought I'd mention it here.
I'll open general recruitment for that in about 4 hours, so let me know if you want to invite someone to join us before then.

![]() |

Yeah, I wanted to dot with my target alias and hadn't come up with a character name yet. Even without the full sheet I'll go create it and dot.

![]() |

Hey all, we had two deaths in the extended family this week. Neither were really unexpected but it still has been a bad week.
I'll be travelling and doing funerals this weekend so I'll post less but will still be able to post in the late evenings (even if I might be drunk).
Just a heads up.

![]() |

Sorry, Brock! That is never a good week to have. My thoughts and prayers will be going to you and your family.
Drunk Brock is just Brock, who skips intimidation and shoots NPCs instead.

![]() |

Sorry to hear that Brock. At least there were not unexpected. Giving friends and relatives a time to prepare for it.

Appreciate the condolences everyone, at least they aren't in pain any longer.
Our family has been blessed with 3 new arrivals in the past few years (#4, my #2 is due next month) so the scales apparently needed to be balanced.
We'll celebrate their lives, love the ones we have and, since our lineage is predominantly Irish and German, enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two.

![]() |

...since our lineage is predominantly Irish and German, enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two.
My family is of similar heritage. At our wakes, I believe the total drinks were counted by the case, not the glass.

![]() |

I too send my condolences and will keep ya'll in my thoughts.

![]() |

Holy cow, that thing is crazy! And they gave us a poison item, for the boss that's immune to it! What trolls.
I need to pick up some align weapon oils. My little rapier can't touch this thing.

GM ShieldBug |

Yeah, I thought your new poisonous bite was going to be a neat way to bypass the DR... then I read it was immune. That's just cruel!

GM ShieldBug |

Wow, I keep forgetting how quickly we get through these scenarios! I hope you had fun with the slightly heightened difficulty... Although, I rolled really poorly in that last fight which made it a bit easier again. :)
Unfortunately, I still don't think we'll be able to complete a whole other scenario before the move since I will have a week or two without my computer, and one or two other things I should be concentrating on in the coming month. It has been super fun playing with y'all thus far, and I'll let you know as soon as things settle down again if you are still up for continuing in a few months time.

![]() |

Break is well timed for me, I was gonna take a little time off of pathfinder anyway (other than our game, should it have continued) and focus on some starfinder.

![]() |

That was a lot of fun, as always! That last boss fight had me sweating! Very fun. A great one for us to go out on!
Enjoy your break, hopefully it will help you be more productive during your move! I will miss your game, but will keep looking forward to restarting! This is a great group, and you lead us impeccably.
If the break between games is longer than 3 months, everyone needs to dot in the Gameplay tab again in September to make sure it doesn't drop off our Campaign views.

![]() |

This group has definitely been the most fun I have had with Pathfinder or D20 systems in general for quite some time. My bandwidth has been somewhat strained but posting here is always relaxing so I look forward to when we pick back up.
That was an intimidating boss fight but it is also nice to get out a few rounds of bombs.
I wish you luck with the move and will be preparing for mine in the near future. Next month I start my visa process and scholarship applications.

GM ShieldBug |

Thanks guys! I'm glad you got a bit of a sweat on with this scenario, gotta keep you on your toes. :) I'm going to miss y'all during the break!
I wish you luck with the move and will be preparing for mine in the near future. Next month I start my visa process and scholarship applications.
That's where I disappeared to last Wednesday. A long train journey to the embassy, and a whole lot of queueing for my interview. All the waiting was worth it though, and I can check 'get visa' off the todo list. I wish you the very best luck with your move too!
Thanks for the reminder, Forrest. If break gets too close to the three month mark, I'll make sure to post something in the gameplay thread as a reminder. ;)

![]() |

Best of luck everyone!
Definitely looking forward to continuing this in a few months.
@ Forrest: Thanks, I didn't know that.

![]() |

Yes, it's sort of a fringe case.
If nobody posts in a Campaign in 3 months, the page closes. If you don't, you'll turn "Inactive" and won't get updates.

![]() |

Yeah, I very much enjoy this group and GM and find myself annoyed sometimes when my other groups aren't as good, or as fast at posting!
Good luck with your move Shieldbug, hope the US and University treat you well.

![]() |

I really enjoy this group too. I'll miss the group while we are on our break but I guess, a little time away will make things sweeter when we gather back up.
Also want to wish you a good luck in your move Shieldbug.

![]() |

I will miss this group while we pause for a few months. This character will be patiently waiting to resume. Maybe I can sneak in some odd jobs to catch him up closer to the rest of the party.
Thanks again Shieldbug for the outstanding game. It was definitely a closer call than previous games, and the mimicking tigger was a nice effect.

![]() |

That is a good idea Arin. I can get Rook into a game or two as well or maybe GM something to apply to him.

GM ShieldBug |

Thanks again, folks!
That does sound like a good idea, and you'd definitely have time for a scenario or two. Just remember that to play all the remaining scenarios in this campaign with a PC, you can't have higher than XP 7 when we start the next scenario. ;)
Speaking of XP, the day sort of got away from me, so I won't be able to post your chronicles until tomorrow. Sorry.

![]() |

No apology needed. At your leisure.
I don't think there's any risk of Arin getting beyond 7 in 3 months. Time flies, scenarios slow down. 4XP in 3 months would be an impressive clip.

GM ShieldBug |

Howdy folks! The sheets are almost ready, but I forgot to ask for Day Job rolls again. So if those with jobs can please make their rolls now, I'll have your sheets ready as soon as they're in. :)
@Arin: This was the 5th scenario we've played together, so once you get this chronicle sheet, Arin should already be on 5XP, meaning you're only 2XP behind. ;)

![]() |

Gambling: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Thanks again GM!

![]() |

Perform, Dance: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Thank you! Hopefully your move goes great!

![]() |

Danicka's going without. Thanks.

![]() |

Craft: 1d20 + 12 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 12 + 5 = 33

Yeah, I remembered that a while after I posted this. Was forgetting to count *this* completed scenario.
No day job roll.

![]() |

No Day Job.
Will go with this though:
{}{} Forgo your Downtime to nonviolently fight for the cause of liberty by spending time organizing protests, freeing slaves,
or distributing revolutionary material. Doing so requires a successful Disable Device, Knowledge (local), or Stealth check
with a DC equal to 15 + your character level.
Stealth DC18: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
So close.

![]() |

Oh yes, I did this once before but you actually need to succeed twice for the goal. With no dayjob roll, I'll take a shot at this one too.
[X][ ] Forgo your Downtime to nonviolently fight for the cause of liberty by spending time organizing protests, freeing slaves, or distributing revolutionary material. Doing so requires a successful Disable Device, Knowledge (local), or Stealth check with a DC equal to 15 + your character level.
Stealth, DC17: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 welp... that's no good.

GM ShieldBug |

Righto everyone, your chronicles are now Here! As usual, let me know if I made any mistakes and I'll sort them out as soon as I can. :)

![]() |

Silly nobles, taking all of the fun boons.
Looks great! I'm curious, when did we show a monkey respect?

![]() |

That was totally me!

![]() |

Chronicles look good.
During this downtime, I'm going to upgrade my MW Agile Breastplate to a +1 Agile Breastplate. Cost: 1,000gp

GM ShieldBug |

Noted, Yaiho, thanks. :)
I'm curious, when did we show a monkey respect?Danicka wrote:That was totally me!
Yep, that was when the macaques invaded the camp. Brock and Rook took a step back after deciding it was best not to shoot at or blow up the monkeys, Arin tried to find food to lure them away peacefully, Yaiho tried to drive them away with a natural deterrent and by marking his territory, and Danicka charmed them and used some expert, respectful, animal handling skills to get them to leave nicely.
You may have antagonised them a little, Forrest, but you did not strike any of the monkeys, which would have caused them to swarm (resulting in two nasty monkey swarms within the tiny camp area) and attack back. It's because y'all dealt with them non-violently that they helped out in the temple and you got the boon. ;)

![]() |

Phew! I totally forgot about that! I was focused on the temple. Also, wow. Not only did we skip a rough fight, we got a boon and were super helpful at the temple!!!
Great writing, that one.

![]() |

Tonight I am going to post my two games for the upcoming gameday. One for each of the two sessions.
The 1st one will be Black Waters so Rook can have that on his list.
The 2nd one is yet unknown but I am welcome to suggestions.
All of you are welcome to join if you like. I will post the information here as well.

![]() |

Neat, thanks. Depending on tier I may have my occultist available.

![]() |

I would love to play #9-10 - Signs in Senghor. My brother wrote it, and although I've GMed it for my family, I haven't had a chance to experience it as a player. That would be awesome.
Otherwise, I'd request something at tier 1-2 that's not an evergreen. I haven't played anything from season 8 (excluding 8-07 which we're going to play together), season 5 (excluding 5-04 and 5-08), season 4 (excluding 4-07), season 3 (excluding First Steps and 3-21).
All my characters are low level since I've only been playing PFS since we started this group. Haha.
Whatever you choose, thanks for the offer.

![]() |

Already signed up for a Black Waters game for the 1st session. If I had known, I would've waited. But I'm already accepted in that group. It would be bad form to bow out of it.
As for 2nd session, I have these characters available:
Hskoro Tailfeather L2 Fighter
Vello Tiskan L3 Hydrokineticist (If he finishes Feast of Ravenmoor which he should)
Dark Schnyder L2 Magus
Jerrid T'Clur L2 Brawler
Aurk Threelhammer L1 Druid
I don't think I have actually played through any Season 9, only a few Season 8s. Not that sure about the other seasons.

![]() |

I was thinking about Signs in Senghor after reading the blog post and with you requesting it how could I say no.
(Now I have the pressure of doing it justice in my run of it. Lol.)
So it looks like my session two will be Signs in Senghor (1-5). I will have threads up later tonight.
And sorry about not saying something sooner. I was making sure I would have the bandwidth to actually GM games.

Ooh, fun! I'd like to jump in on that Signs game! I have a Level 2 Spellslinger who hasn't seen the table yet.

![]() |

Ooooh! Happy dance! Now to figure out who I'll bring...

GM ShieldBug |

Thanks for the offer, Rook! That session two game sounds mighty tempting! However, I think I'd better pass since I'll hopefully be running one of these long campaign games at the time. Baby steps until I'm sure of my bandwidth, and all that. Have fun y'all! :)
