Knowledge (dungeoneering): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Just rolling this in advance to see if there's anything I should be asking once I come around but it looks like I've got... "yeah that's a big bug."

"Why do Buggers of Spite look so mad at Niocholu and Pathfinders?" the northman asks, as he steps back and draws his bow.5 ft. step
"Niocholu suggest everyone put weapon down. Have party, perhaps." he shrugs. "This day, Niocholu and others having Confirmation."
Ranged (shortbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Damage (arrow)(P): 1d6 ⇒ 5

Reshu lights up the bug, while Niocholu readies to put a pin in the first hostile creature.
Fareth, Drilla, and Luralyn may act.

![]() |

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Fareth moves in from the back of the group and sighs. "Ugh, they're mites. Use cold iron if you have it."
Whatever additional information the GM thinks is interesting!
"Drilla, heel!"
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Drilla moves in next to Fareth.

Only that they are fond of proclaiming your DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

![]() |

Luralyn lowers his guard when he sees Niocholu's attempts at diplomacy. "Ugh? Does that mean our friend from the north is about to get a face full of tiny antagonists?"
Delaying my turn until they back down or do something aggressive!

![]() |

The mite in back points at Reshu and begins to cast. Just as a feeling of impending dooooooooom starts to creep over him, Niocholu fires, expertly threading his shot past the centipede and into the casting fey. Not all of the damage seems to go through, but it's enough to disrupt the spell and leave the creature swaying on its feet.
Concentration: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9
---
The insect scuttles forward, crossing the water and snapping viciously at Reshu, though the stardust glowing in its eyes seems to disrupt it.
bite, stardusted: 1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 - 1 = 6
ouch!: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
---
The blue mite, seeing Niocholu's shot, points at the northman and casts. The same feeling of impending doom creeps up in Niocholu. DC 10 Will save or be shaken.
----------
INITIATIVE!
Quasar may act.

"You can't say we didn't try!"
Luralyn launches himself at the centipede, delivers a flavored, non-mechanical flying kick to its abdomen, and lands with a splash in the languid river. He takes a low, balanced stance in expectation of retaliation.
Unarmed strike, power attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

![]() |

Will save (DC 10): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
"Mite have different idea of party than Niocholu!"

![]() |

Luralyn launches himself at the centipede, his kick folding the centipede in half along the joint between two segments and leaving it motionless on the ground!
Centipede down, Quasar may act.

![]() |

Quasar was preparing to deal with the rather intimidating centipede and perhaps talk to the mites, but as it's quickly dealt with, and was clearly commanded by them, she instead rushes up to the water's edge, to hurl rocks at the one in the back. Purple, specifically.
Earth Blast: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage,Point Blank: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5

![]() |

The purple mite sways in place, unable to do anything but watch as a massive ball of rocks and earth flies toward it. When the dust clears, the unmoving body of the mite lays buried from the waist up in a pile of stone and dirt. Purple down.
The red mite sneers as it steps forward, drawing a small dart and hurling it back at Quasar, just barely missing.
Dart, point-blank shot: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 2 + 1 = 16
damage: 1d3 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 + 1 = 1
The creature glares at Quasar menacingly as it reaches for another dart.
------
INITIATIVE!
Reshu, Fareth, Drilla, and Niocholu may act.

Niocholu draws the bow string and fires at the pointing mite (blue).
Ranged (shortbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Damage (arrow)(P): 1d6 ⇒ 4
The same form of impending doom flies toward the caster mite as to his kin.
As the arrow whistles through the air, it seems to cry...
*D >oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooM>*
See the "D" resembles a bow, and the way I put the little pointy things on rest of the word made it look like an arrow!

![]() |

The shrill whistle of the arrow sings the mite's doom, but the arrow does not quite deliver, the mundane arrowhead seeming to have trouble penetrating the mites skin.
Blue is wounded, but still up. Reshu, Fareth, and Drilla may act.

![]() |

Splashing out into the slow moving stream Reshu cries out as a cone of vivid colors and lights reminiscent of the northern lights erupts from his hand. " If its a party you want Niocholu then perhaps we can start things off with some fireworks!"
Reshu uses his Spirit Magic class feature to cast Color Spray DC 14. I believe Mites fall under 2HD or less so if they fail:
unconscious, blinded, and stunned: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
blinded and stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Then stunned for 1 round.

![]() |

Red Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Blue Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
The two mites sneer at the colors, preferring the cold, dark areas beneath the earth.

![]() |

Fareth trudges across the water in her armor. Double move.
"Drilla, attack!"
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Drilla races up, anxious to get to fight something!

![]() |

"Eep!" The mite in blue quickly steps back from the approaching 'bear', drawing a dart and hurling it from close range!
Dart, point-blank: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 1 = 20
Poke!, point-blank: 1d3 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 + 1 = 2
-----
INITIATIVE!
Quasar and Luralyn may act.

Quasar once again summons to her a sizable collection of rocks, hurling them towards the mites, aiming for the one in the back, and hoping the force of the blast will separate them out.
Earth Blast, why do I keep leaving out point blank: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 1 = 21
Damage, point blank: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
Pushing Infusion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

![]() |

Quasar's blast slams into the mite just as it finishes hurling its dagger at Drilla, slamming the creature between the relentless stream of rocks and the immovable wall. When the torrent lets up, there are no signs of movement from within the pile of rubble.
Blue is down (it had one hit point left). Luralyn may act.

![]() |

Luralyn stomps his way through the spray left by Fareth and Drilla, shakes his now sodden mane, and delivers a quick jab at the mite.
Unarmed strike, power attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

"Eep!" The mite nimbly ducks Luralyn's strike, then steps back, nervously eyeing the exit from this chamber. It draws another dart and hurls it at the advancing monk, though its hurried through sails wide.
Dart!, point-blank: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11
Poke!, point-blank: 1d3 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 + 1 = 3
------
INITIATIVE!
Whole party may act.

![]() |

"Hey, get back here!" Luralyn ducks the dart and pursues the mite, planting a foot to deliver a roundhouse kick to its midsection; the mite crouches to avoid the hasty blow.
Unarmed strike, power attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Reshu pulls out Janira's wand of burning hands. "I tried to give you a nice little light show, but you just had to sneer at it like the spiteful little bugger that you are. Maybe you'll like Miss Janira's magic better!"
Move action to retrieve the wand, and standard to activate it.
Burning Hands: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5
Scratching his head he says, "Hmmm... That felt kind of spiteful. Must be catching. Do we have a wand to cure that?"

![]() |

The mite dodges Luralyn's blow, but has no answer for the swirling cone of flame that envelops it. When the smoke clears, the singed fey lies unmoving. Out of combat!
On the other side of the stream, the passage slopes upward almost immediately, soon emerging at the surface, near where you faced the minotaur. There, you find Janira waiting.

![]() |

After an uneventful journey back, you're greeted by an enthusiastic Kreighton Shaine."Oh my, that's wonderful! I'm glad to see you all back in one piece, though from what Janira has told me, that was a near thing. Wonderful job guiding and protecting them, Janira! I knew I could count on you."
Shaine spends some time reading over your notes, pausing to ask questions and to theorize on the meaning and history of the things you've found.
"Well done recording your experiences while fresh in your mind. It’s difficult enough to remember what one had for breakfast the day before, let alone to recall exactly what one was thinking while reading an inscription. Make sure to write up your report thoroughly. After all, at this moment you are the world's foremost authority on those caves. It's only fitting, then, that you should name them! So, what shall we call the place?"

![]() |

Quasar fidgets some more and shrugs. "Uh.. the painted caverns of... something or other? Honestly, I'm fairly sure the old guy with the gills in there was probably more of an expert than any of us."

Three days later, the three deans of the Society, Master Shaine, Master Zey Westyr, and Master Farabellus confirm you as full Pathfinder field agents. As part of the ceremony, they give each of you a personalized wayfinder, to remind you that this is not only the symbol of the Pathfinder’s trade but also a reminder of the three principle duties: explore, report, and cooperate.
If this is your first time playing the Confirmation, you get a free wayfinder. If you have already received a free wayfinder on another character, you may spend one prestige point to get one for this character, too (or you can buy one for 250gp).
That's it! Thanks for playing, everyone! I'll post your chronicle sheets in the discussion thread.
