I shake my head as Izzy has a conversation with the women, instinctively I know this can;t be good and I telepathically say so much to Ahe-Dee Ate, seek what the ebony blade's response is.
Having hopefully zapped everyone with a dose/charge of "Shield" from the wand, I let Ahe-Dee Ate rest on my shoulder, running a number of actions through my head should/if/when this situation goes to more aggressive forms of communication.

Why don't you come out and meet us as good hostesses as per Osirian and Azlantian culture prescibe?
I say this, keeping my distance at present time.

Caoilte whispers to Hav and Tarek, How long do we do this? If they just wanted to be left alone they'd have said so and I'd have obliged. But this is getting odd. They are up to something and I think we either need to back away or press an attack very soon.

![]() |

Tarek speaks softly in response to Caoilte Prepare yourself for battle. It may be good to use this time to position ourselves. Give each other space. I think they may attempt to attack our minds and we should not let ourselves get clustered together. I think we may be the feast if we are not careful Tarek slowly draws the sharp edged disc from his belt and readies it if needed

One of the woman's faces darken suddenly and she bares her teeth as she glares at tarek. She turns to her companion. "I do not believe they want to talk to us Senenetka. A pity... the once beautiful woman's face begins to melt and peel away, revealing the gruesome visage of a rotting corpse. Senenetka's form follows that of her colleague, her voice turns grating, growling and harsh...[/b]"Yes, a pity. Perhaps we should have them for dinner regardless!"[/b]
Both woman growl and move swiftly toward Isador.

Havelock detects a magical aura on one of the former ladies' necklesses while Tarek finds a key around the neck of the other.
Out of combat. Where to gents?

![]() |

Well done! I am glad we did not sit down with these ladies for dinner. Whatever they were eating was truly horrible for their complexion Tarek looks over the discovered items It seems we have found a few valuables worth selling and a key that must unlock something. I wonder if there is anything in the room that we did not see upon first glance? Isador throws caution to the wind and pushes open the door and steps beyond...
Huge granite slabs form the peaked roof of this chamber, the walls of which are incised with thousands of tiny hieroglyphs. In the center of the chamber lies an open stone sarcophagus, its granite lid cracked and broken on the floor next to it. A beautifully decorated wooden coffin lies inside, its lid also askew. Four alabaster canopic jars stand like guardians at the foot of the sarcophagus, while various grave goods lie heaped around the walls of chamber.
In the center of the chamber stands an imposing figure of what was once a tall vibrant man. This thing, however, is no man. Time and magics foul have warped the being into a mockery of life. His body wrapped in bandages from head to toe. His eyes gleam like torch fires. In his hand he olds an ancient knopesh blade. The creature is flanked by a large beast. It rests at its master's side, wings folded about its form. The mummified lord steps forward and addresses Isador.
"Who is it that dares to disturb the chamber of Sekh-pa-Mefer III, the Pharaoh of Sphinxes! Present yourself to me! Prostrate before me and recognize me as your god and I may yet spare your pitiful life!"
