"I'm just glad I could finally hit the little bugger." Kawrock says as he sheaths his nodachi and picks up Gammin. "Sorry old friend, I don't like dropping you like that."
Vincent Blackwood

"Thanks, Tuich," Vincent says as he stretches his limbs. "Kawrock, at least you had the option of switching to a more useful weapon." After an awkward pause, he adds, "Not that Gammin is a bad sword, but it's not cold iron, I mean... no offense intended."

I warned him, Miko says in a sad tone as the redcap become a red stain.
What a strange man, she adds, what would someone like him have been doing here? There's not a lot of fey in these woods, are there? Only hobgoblins and whatnot.
Miko takes a while to examine the room before getting ready to move on.

You find nothing of interest here and open the door to the next room.
The walls, floors, and ceiling of this half-moon-shaped room are covered in hundreds of mirrors of all shapes and sizes, some still intact, but most broken. To the north is a beige stone door built into the wall; the southern wall sports two milk-white stone doors of a similar design.

Vyk watches his wounds close back from Tuich's wand.
"Thanks. That was a little too close."

In the next room...
Vyk looks around the rounded, feeling incredibly suspicious. Mirrors freaked him out a little.

Well, what do you know.
At first he thought it was a trick of the light, but then he was sure he saw a woman.

As they started moving forward, she asked Vincent:

Tuich nods at Kishmia's words. "I know someone who is allied with a fey. Amazing, some of the things he tells me about how she thinks. Incomprehensible, sometimes. But a good resource," she hastens to add.
Looking around the mirrored room she comments, "This is unnerving. I've heard stories about mirrors..."

Fear, anxiety, rage. Despair. Joy, happiness, longing. And restlessness. Boy, the restlessness. Once I left that oppressed country, the restlessness ate at me for months. If I hadn't stopped myself, I'd still be walking now, but I found my port in Oppara. I had to see everything. Hear everything. Watch, learn, experience, change everything. Cut my hair, change my clothes, paint my boots, change my name. I had to start a new life there, but I had the restlessness to start five. Everything had to go, everything had to change. I was lucky that I found out why. I was lucky that I found out about the forces that run through my blood. I was lucky to have found out when I did, and that I managed to channel the force, or I'd still be sporting red hair and blue face paint.

Vincent Blackwood

Vincent shuffles through a few leather cords before grabbing a leather wrapped morningstar of his own strapped to his backpack.
"Well Khismia, I'll gladly trade morningstars with you until we get back out of here, if you're offering. It's my third favorite type of weapon."
It's a normal, non-masterwork morningstar. I have it for a source of piercing and bludgeoning damage.
Too late for another Perception?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Didn't see it anyways.
Vincent, swinging the cold iron morningstar borrowed from Khismia through the air to get used to its heft, pulls up next to Vyk at his shout. "See something?" he whispers to the tiefling, his eyes darting around the room.
Vyk Tyr
|
"Seriously, you guys can't see that? There's some old elven lady in all the mirrors. She's staring at me, and it's freaking me out. She's not responding to me though. Hold I'm going to try Elvish."
Anyone who can speak Elvish, realizes Vyk's accent is terrible.
Miko Teppen
|
Miko is impressed Ooh, Elven. Vyk, you've got to teach me that one day.
Miko mimics Vyk's greeting: Bohn djoe, grenn vjooh
Vyk Tyr
|
Vyk stumbles from sudden fright.
"Whoa! Okay. Wow. Just. Right, so the elf turned into a demon before she disappeared. That's - that's not very comforting. So, um, weapons?" Vyk said as he drew his scimitar.
"You know, just in case. Don't know if that thing can attack us or not, but let's get out of here, anyway. What do you say?"
Miko Teppen
|
Not very comforting, no. Next thing you tell me, you speak Abyssal as well.
Miko tries to be casual, but the presence of a demon somewhere doesn't comfort her at all.
Yes, weapons... Miko scrambles for her protection from evil wand.
Khismia al-Khair
|
Khismia takes off the weapon cord from her morningstar handle and tries Vincent morning star. She makes couple moves, but it is too heavy for her to be effective with it.
- Probably, I will use my wand more often than this
@Vincent, my morningstar is masterwork cold iron, count this in your rolls
@GM, can I fasten weapon cord to a wand, so I could drop/retrieve it like a weapon, spending free/swift action? Spending full round action due to oracle burden (haunt) is quite a tax
I don't like being next to demon, might be we can find a way to send him away further in this dungeon?
тυιcн

"Demon?" Tuich says nervously, and her silks flutter as she backs into the center of the room while glancing around. "Mirrors, I told you! All these mirrors, its not natural," she mutters while drawing her aspergillium.
Khishmia, what are you doing that requires a Full Round Action? Retrieving an item for a Haunted Oracle is only a Standard Action.
| StephNyan |
@Khismia: Personally, I'm fine with weapon cords being used for wands. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to tie your weapon cord to a stick, while you can easily tie it to a club or greatsword. For future games: keep in mind many GMs disagree, because the item's description mentions the weapon cord is for weapons.
With nothing else to do in this room, you open one of the doors to the south. A hallway in revealed.
This lengthy hallway winds around a circular set of chambers accessible via two doors on the south side of the circle. More stone doors line the outer wall of this tunnel, one of which appears to be stuck open and has various chunks of debris littered around it. Illumination seems to come from far away, floating shafts of variously colored light. The uneven ceiling in this tunnel is taller than that of the other chambers, reaching heights between 40 and 50 feet.
I revealed a bit more of the map, 'cause around B3 you'll just find a bunch of empty hallways.
You notice a medium size fish floating in the air. It notices you and quickly 'swims' to the north of the hallway, away from you.

As GM, my temporary hitpoints are there for 4 hours, please inform me, when those are about to dissapear, so I could adjust my actions

"I speak Abyssal." Kawrock says in response to Mikos comment. He then follows Vyk out into the fishy corridor.

"What a delicious looking fish. Though it's a bit strange to find it down here."
| StephNyan |
As soon as Vyk moves through the door he 'falls' east and hits the wall there. He doesn't take any damage, but if he tries to stand up he'll find himself standing on the wall.
Khismia and Kawrock both fall upward and hit the ceiling. They don't take any damage either, and will find themselves standing upside-down once they stand up.
When you roll, this happens:
1 = 'fall' east
2 = 'fall' south
3 = 'fall' west
4 = 'fall' north (back into the room you just exited)
5 = 'fall' up
6 = all stays as usual

"This wasn't exactly part of the plan, Tuich."
Vyk tried to follow Miko's advice, and concentrated on the floor being down. It took a moment, but after some awkward flailing it finally worked.
"Well, that was weird. Was that the room, or did the fish thing do that?"
Kawrock
|
Shocked to find himself on what he believed to be the ceiling. Kawrock looks around a bit to find Vyk standing on the wall. Just as he started to ruffle his feathers in agitation, Tuich explained what was happening. "So I just focus on the floor as down and I..." his sentence is cut short as he crashes into the floor. "Uhhh I meant to do that."
Miko Teppen

I wonder. If you manage to change your beliefs quick enough, you can fly! Up, down, up down! Miko blurts out.
| StephNyan |
Everything works exactly as Miko explained. Simply by willing it, everyone's able to decide what is down for him or her.
Miko's little experiment also works. By rapidly changing her down back and forth between the floor and the ceiling, Miko's able to levitate in the middle of the room. Just like the strange fish some of you spotted a moment ago.

"Ah, very good job, Miko," he congratulates the bard. "Now let's see here..." Vincent wills himself down to the ground while attempting to convince his hair that it's weightless, or perhaps that its gravity should lend itself to floating dramatically behind him.
"Which way should we go next? There's multiple doors out of here."

"Show off," Vyk grumbles quietly.

You open the door to the south and an empty hallway's revealed. There are two doors, and you figure you'll just continue to head south. The second door reveals a corridor, and you notice the strange gravity spell stops affecting you once you enter it. At the end of the corridor is, how surprising, yet another door. You figure you're up for a change in pace and all of you clap your hands not once, not twice, but thrice before Vyk opens the door. Just because.
The east and west corners of this hexagonal room are filled with strange stone-and-metal machinery, and most of the parts appear to have rusted or otherwise deteriorated long ago. Vines, bushes, and other small flora jut through the walls in various places, the various kinds of foliage choking the machines and bursting out the corners. Long flumes of black stone jut from the ceilings in various places, each of the strange tubes pointed toward the decrepit machinery and similarly choked with vines.
Inside the room you notice some kind of plant with cute yellow flowers against the back wall. Near it are two zombies with equally cute yellow flowers, looking absolutely stunning.

Miko realizes the zombie's not undead, but controlled by the plant at the south wall. This kind of plant's known as a yellow musk creeper. It's a plant that entrances its victims with pollen, which make the victim approach the plant without being able to resist. The yellow mush creeper then inserts tendrils into its victims skull, infects its brain with seed and pollen to slowly kill it, and turns it into a yellow musk zombie once it's dead. This makes yellow mush zombies plant controlled plants, instead of undead.
Kawrock send a firebolt at the already damaged zombie and burns it to a crisp.
Vincent, entranced by the plant's pollen, moves up to the plant. Once in front of the plant Vincent stands still and remains motionless.
