About Vyk Tyr

Physical Description
Vyk Tyr has purplish skin with many spikes perforating his face. Four horns leap from his head, making it an absolute nightmare to find a good hat. He wears studded armor, and wields a rapier. He often scares people, but he’s pretty used to it by now.

Personality
Vyk Tyr loves a good drink or nine. He would like to be witty, but often comes across as snobbish or stuck up. He means well though. A fact only a few ever realize. But those who do take the time find him to be a loyal companion.

Origin:

Vyk Tyr was born in the city of Korvosa. His mother had been a prostitute who had been horrified to discover she had given birth to a tiefling. She left him on the doorsteps of a tavern. She left only a note explaining the situation.

Luckily the owner was a worshipper of Cayden Cailean and knew of an orphanage run by Clerics of the Drunken Hero. The named him, and raised him. He liked the friendly priests, and most of all he liked all the wine, woman and song that went along with their worship.

“Other folks do religion wrong,” he would often say, usually before a toast to health, or wealth, or because it was Friday.

He never had the proper mindset for divine magic, but he took well to lessons of the rapier -- the favored weapon of his god. However he was fascinated by arcane magic. In Korvosa he found people willing to train him. Although at a steep price. This meant his lessons were slow, and rather than become a full wizard he decided to incorporate magic into his swordplay.

Vyk wanted to be an adventurer and see the world. The Pathfinders seemed a good fit for him, so off he went booking the first ship he could find.
