Int Check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16 Vrothum has an epiphany!
Thank you Sheela I fell a little better but one of those creatures did something to me...It's just an illusion guys focus on myself, Sheela, or Valentynne, they are trying to keep us from escaping.

![]() |

Int: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
"??" Azrael pauses stunned at the sight of the maze. "Illusion? Why do you joke?! These walls are no illusion! What sorcery is this?" The human blindly heads down one direction, pulling out his shield cautiously moving.

![]() |

"What sorcery? It's illusion magic, see?" Sheela shoves her arm through an illusory wall. "I assure you I'm not strong enough to shove my arm through walls."

![]() |

@Valentynne: You can... IF you pass your intelligence check to remember where the true walls were located. So...
Everyone but Vrothum cannot discern the exact position of the true walls.
%: 1d100 ⇒ 18
Vrothum knows the wall in front of the group is real.
Valais follows Azrael as he pushes forward into the maze.
Keep moving on the map please once you complete your movement post roll intelligence and a D100

![]() |

Sheela advances.
Int: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
1d100 ⇒ 68
"Okay, which way do we go now?" Sheela tries to move further north.

![]() |

The wall to the north is real follow Sheela up the right side.
Vrothum will try to usher the others like a shepard.
Int Check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
d 100: 1d100 ⇒ 21

![]() |

As Azrael advances through the illusory maze a spectral figure appears in the distance: a minotaur. The beast appears in the distance surrounded by a ghostly hue.
"Karsos observed you thread the abode of Baphomet servant. Friend or foe? Give the proper sign or DIE!" the creatures voice booms through the maze...

![]() |

"Live long, and prosper!" Sheela raises her hands in a comforting salute before she laughs.
"You know I'm just joking with you, friend. How about you come over here and say hello?"
Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
She doesn't know the sign, but maybe she can fake it!

![]() |

DM I've moved everyone according to them believing me, with my second Intelligence check I assume I'll be able to discern wich walls are true again? Waiting to find out so I can further direct the others.

![]() |

Azrael waits cautiously at the outcome of Sheela's tomfoolery, taking no risk with the situation his grip on his shield tightens as he watches the minotaur's movement.
If it would be allowed, Azrael would ready action to trip (with shield) if the minotaur turns hostile and moves within 10 feet.

![]() |

"Are you sure this is the right way out, horned one?" The aasimar asks the tiefling.
Int check; d100: 1d20 ⇒ 111d100 ⇒ 12
I noticed I was moved on the map, I have no issue with Val following Vrothum around =)

![]() |

Valais nervously studies the apparition in front of the group but says nothing while Sheela tries to talk her way out of the labyrinth...
Knowledge (religion) to identify the creature

![]() |

Sheela can't help but feel she's forgotten a vital detail...

![]() |

![]() |

Everyone, the only real wall is the one right next to Azeeal on the right! Close your eyes if you think you see more. Half left face. And run! Vrothum does his best to command everyone. Continuing to heard them along to the exit.

![]() |

Azrael will follow the lead of the others.

![]() |

Does anyone read the book besides Vrothum? Anyway Vrothum can attempt a bluff check against the minotaur's sense motive in order to convince it of your loyalty to Baphomet, otherwise the monster will not be pleased with your presence here
The ghostly minotaur floats in the air and its fur starts to bristle. Your standing still without answering his request doesn't seem to make it happy...

![]() |

Yes, they are believers of Baphomet’s strength, and I am their leader, I’ve shown them the ways of our great lord and I say the day is drawing near where we can show the world our true strength! She’s still learning our ways, forgive her!
Bluff Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Vrothum shows the proper signs and has Sheela follow along with him.
Didn’t Know If I could just aid her roll or if I have roll seperately, considering I’m just showing that we indeed do know the proper sign.

"Well, if you're going to be that rude..."
Sheela begins using her magic to cast Summon Monster 2. She calls forth for a celestial horse. Her favorite celestial horse.
"Queen Rainbowprance, I could use your help here!"
This spell takes 1 round to cast. She can be interrupted during this time.

With a bestial bellow the minotaur smashes into Azrael, but not before the warrior tries to deflect the attack causing the beast to fall before reching him...

DM it appears Azrael mentions he has his trip attempt in the spoiler in case the minotaur becomes hostile before we can escape. On Vrothum's turn he will use his tail to retrieve a potion as a swift action, then drink a potion of cure moderate wounds. Then move up near the creature, if tripped, and prepare to unleash an onslaught on it.CMW: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10

It seems the forums ate my post from yesterday.... I'll reroll Religion, I don't know if it'll do any good now.
Know. Religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
"Hey Vrothum, this spirit's horns are larger than yours, let's hope they ain't as sharp as those peasants' scythes last month!" The mountain of a man says almost laughing at the unpleasant memory, while walking up to the minotaur's face, standing in Kraggodan's stance as soon as he's up there.
AC when moving for AoO = 29; AC after Kraggodan's = 31

![]() |

Idril summons his power to ready himself for the fight.
Idril will use another point from his arcane pool to recall his shield spell. He will then take a five foot step back to stay out of the beast's likely reach and cast shield on himself.

![]() |

move to draw second weapon and standard to attack.
Azrael attempts to strike on the downed minotaur!
+1 Kukri,PA: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 11 - 2 = 20dmg: 1d4 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 4 = 11

Seems like I was mistaken about something... sorry Azrael, I thought your shield was magical. As it's not it cannot affect this opponent
Azrael attempt to trip the large monster is perfectly executed BUT unfortunately he notices how the ghostly creature is actually flying a few feet above the ground and even worse the shield just passess through the minotaur as if it was insubstantial. So, despite his skilled performance, Azrael cannot stop the minotaur from punishing him with its damaging tough. As the ghostly figure's taloned hand pases through the fighter he feels the chill of death freeze his guts!
You guessed it... flying AND incorporeal
Valentynne advances on the minotaur, Idril casts a defensive spell, Vrothum drinks a potion to heal himself. Even so, Azrael keeps fighting on, striking at the ghostly figure with his magical weapon, which causes it to waver for a moment.

Sheela, then on its turn Karsos withdraws passing through walls and you lose line of sight on him, you can post your actions as if he acted that way. Sheela acts before Karsos withdraws though. In the future please start next round when the previous one is over

Sheela completes casting... and Queen Rainbowprance appears!
Before Karsos escapes, Queen Rainbowprance smites!
Smite Evil hoof!: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12

Smite Evil hoof!: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6
Smite Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
And misses terribly.
Sheela, meanwhile tries to pull out her wand again. "Ghosts don't like positive energy, right? Someone who's better at this divine stuff should use my wand."
UMD DC 20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
She heals some of Vrothum's wounds!

Thanks Sheela, but we should run! Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Vrothum will attempt to locate the stairs to exit this floor, if he sees them he'll shout to the others where to run.

Oi! Horned one! Have you lost your way as well? I thought I saw through the walls, and then it turned out they were real! I don't like being confined to close quarters, that's why I don't stay too long at my keep..."
Delay and ready; delay to move after someone else moves, and ready a channel vs Evil if the minotaur comes back into range. Channel, DC 13: 1d6 ⇒ 5

![]() |

I'm a bit stumped on what to do, I effectively have one weapon that can harm it but it being far out of reach, it seems like a turn of waiting. I will ready action to attack it should it come adjacent (but I doubt it since it has reach)
"Where did it go?" Azrael yells in frustration keeping a keen eye on his surroundings.
Sense Motive for AC?: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35

![]() |

Confused by your astute opponent's tactics you resolve to stay together instead of trying to chase the minotaur through his labyrinth. Problem is it knows exactly where you are standing...
Everyone delays, but since we go back to Karsos' turn, everyone but Valentynne loses an action
Suddenly the ghostly monster reappears near Rogar and attempts to hit the warrior with his baleful touch! Valentynne is faster though and unleashes positive energy to banish the evil spirit!
Karsos' will: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 4 = 17
Attack roll (Karsos vs Rogar): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 → Damage roll: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 6, 5, 1) = 22

Queen Rainbowprance hears Sheela's voice... but what's with this maze?
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
She snorts, confused until Sheela seemingly walks through a wall.
"Your highness, over here!"
I'll just say the horse lost a round searching through a maze.
Sheela meanwhile pulls out a flask. "Okay, ghosts don't like holy water, right?" She moves ahead a bit. "A flask of holy water in one hand and a wand of Cure Light Wounds in the other... if anyone else wants to use them, be my guest!"

![]() |

Idril powers Ankar and moves to Rogar's side. "Can't let you steal all the fun Rothgar." Idril's bravode thinly masks his fear and excitement in engaging this dangerous but evil foe. He makes a long swinging slash at the beast with Ankar.
+1 Ankar +1 Arcane Pool: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Idril I have adjusted your placement on the map, for some reason it didn't save when i moved my place, It's the only spot i could 5 ft step and full attack to.

![]() |

Ok.... that's 30 dmg after DR...
The onslaught of claws, blades and sheer fury you muster to unleash against the ghost manages to surprise the beast who finds itself ill prepared to resist it. As the last of your attacks lands the beast-man form starts to disspipate as does the illusory labyrinth surrounding you.
"Crusaders! This is not over! I will have my VENGEANCEEE!" the ghost gives one last rage filled scream before losing all subastance and fading away.
Suddenly you find yourselves in the same dilapidated hall where you found the secret shrine of Baphomet and now that the ghost is destroyed, or at least banished for the time being, you feel confident leaving this haunted place won't be a problem anymore.
You have uncovered enough evidence to unmask Thurl for the traitor he was. Venture-Captain Jorsal is sure to be happy with your work here today, yet one dilemma remains to be solved.
"What about me?" asks Valais. The former Pathfinder sounds hesistant as she adds:"I don't believe following you in Nerosyan would be in my best interest. I don't think the good people of Lastwall would see me as anything but a demon and would act accordingly..." she states, sadness creeping into her voice.
