Vrothum deftly climbs the chain up to the cauldrona gooey, scalding sludge that somehow resembles blood is boiling inside. As he surveys the device he notices something else: a couple of hooked noses coming out of the sludge. Suddenly the appendices turn and a couple of imp-like heads emerge (with the noses attached...) from the boilding substance, a look of surprise in their eyes!

As the "imps" come flying out of the cauldron Azrael and Vrothum try to hit them with ranged attacks but to no avail. Meanwhile Sheela tries to blind them with a spell...

Sorry for that. Idril was the last one in order. Also the Imps are flying above the cauldron, which is 30 feet up in the air, so you'll need to climb up (DC15 and AoO from them) or resort to ranged attacks
Valentynne and Rogar try to approach the imps but cannot reach them unless they climb up the chains holding the cauldron suspended.
Idril does the same but cannot connect despite his magic. Valais follows talons unsheated but cannot do much against the flying enemies as well.

You can try attacking the chains holding the cauldron in the air. It's metal so it's not so easy to break though. As for reaching the Imps you can do as Vrothum did by climbing up the chain.

Idril sizes up his options and decides to do something brash. He concentrates arcane energy into Ankar, causing the blade to spark with electrical eldritch energy. In a smooth arc, he brings the blade down upon the chain closest to him, unleashing the energy into the chain itself.
Idril will cast shocking grasp and try to break the chain nearest him. Not sure if the charge would conduct through the chains to the imps, but here goes nothing.

Apologies. Nearing the conclusion of 2 job projects plus my regular schedule is draining me out pretty badly...
Idril's spell races through the chain and into the cauldron. Unfortunately the goo contained inside seems to be non conductive. As this happens, Rogar casts a spell on himself and Valais prepares top strike in case one of the imps comes near her.
I didn't specify it but feel free to start the new round when the old one expires.

The 2 imps reemerge from the goo but this time Azrael is ready for them and wounds one deeply with his kukri. At the same time Sheela reads a spell aloud causing the creatures to be engulfed by a luminescent cloud.

Hey GM, I made a minor mistake in the last post, my kukri is +1 and not mwk, so dmg would be +2 more with crit. Not sure if it makes a difference or if you want to retcon it in, I'll accept if you forgo the extra dmg since it's my mistake.
As the imp flies past Azrael, he attempts to take another swig at it but strikes with less confident as he dangles from the chains.

One of Sheela's eagles uses her beak and its celestial nature to wound its impish target. Not enough to get rid of it but close enough that Azrael is able to finish it off with a swipe of his "talon".
As this happens Rogar descends into the lower room as well and the remaining "imp" renews his assault on Idril...
