Tan'ia |
When the summoning is finished, the rat will jump: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 onto the statue and bite attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 for damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 plus disease. DC 11 Fort but I'm not even sure a bite will get through the statue.
Lumnessa Raziel |
Wounded and scarred Lumnessa will moves back to the wall and the over next to Berosius.
Withdraw straight back and then hug the wall over to Berosius
Berosius |
Don't know if I missed Round One or not. Whichever round I'm in:
Berosius scrambles to Girion's side, wand in hand. "It'll be alright, Girion," he says in a low, comforting voice.
wand of cure light wounds to Girion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
GM Engleaktig |

That was your round 1 action. :-)

__________
Harrow, Arak, and Berosius are up! This is round 2.
Lumnessa Raziel |
Harrow is -7/12
Girion is 5/11
Lumnessa is 3/8
GM Engleaktig |
During his movement, Arak also spies the keyhole. Furthermore, he notices the unique shape of it and recognizes that it's a perfect match for the key that Berosius retrieved from Room 6: the key pool.
Girion, Son of Aroden |
Girion awakens, grabbing reflexively for his sword. As he surveys the situation, he sees Harrow down on the ground, and stands up, shouting at the statue. "Hey, rockhead - over here! Guess you don't swing that hard after all, couldn't even put me down for the count!" He tries to distract the creature back towards him, to allow Berosius to get over to heal Harrow.
(Move action: pick up sword, standard action: stand up)
Lumnessa Raziel |
I though Girion as only at 0 not negative.
Oh no, no, no, no, no, no
Berosius |
Berosius looks at the keyhole and, after a moment frozen in indecision, pulls the key from his pocket. "No, let go! This is important!" he says to the malevolent spirits that haunt him. "Let...GO!"
Standard action to draw the key because of being haunted. No point in rushing in towards the guardian this turn. Maybe Arak can seize it from Berosius?
"Arak! Take the key!"
Harrow Tatterhood |
Harrow groans in his unconsciousness.
Go away, haunted oracle spirits! I not believe you!!! Everything bad since I turn to oracle! NEVER be right! But I not see rain...not even clouds...
Lumnessa Raziel |
Lumnessa moves towards the other ramp and lets out another sheet of flames. Don't kill my friends! screems the gnome almost in tears.

GM Engleaktig |

Lumnessa
Tan'ia
Enemy (20 HP of damage)
Harrow
Arak
Berosius
For Arak & Berosius: Inserting the key requires one successful grapple check to get hold of the statue, followed by a second to insert the key.
Tan'ia is up! Then, the statue. This is round 3.
GM Engleaktig |
Tan'ia calls upon the power of Angrad. The sheer heat of his righteous vengeance wreaks 1 HP of damage to the wooden statue.
The statue takes one 5-foot-step southeast. And the GM closes his eyes whilst the random number generator does its thing...
Shield Slam on Berosius: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Shield Slam on Arak: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13, Miss!

Berosius holds aloft the wooden carving of a rose he wears around his neck. "Sweet Lady, bring us aid!"
Channel Positive Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Poop. Well, at least it stops Harrow from dying.
Lumnessa Raziel |
Lumnessa steps to the side summons a ball of fire into her hand. BURN! she shrieks as she hurls the fire at the statue.
Produce Flame spell like ability
Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 4 = 1 vs. touch
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Unfortunately her vision is clouded by tears and the globe of fire strikes the ceiling above the statue's head.

Ha! Apparently throwing like a girl kicks butt!
Hahaha! :-D
The blast of fire bounces off of the ceiling. It rebounds off of several surfaces and smacks the statue in a sensitive spot. The wooden thing takes 10 HP of damage!

Harrow is unconscious.
Arak and Berosius are up! This is the bottom of round 4.
Berosius |
"The lady helps those that help others," Berosius breathes, as if reciting a well-known prayer.
He touches Harrow with the tip of his wand.
wand of cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
GM Engleaktig |
Arak tries to clamber back onto the statue but slips off.
Berosius will confirm his action, and that will bring a close to round 4.

GM Engleaktig |
Girion's sword strikes true, dealing 7 HP of damage to the statue!
Just as Arak is about to mount the enemy's back with another grapple, it staggers once and falls.
COMBAT OVER! :-)
Whew! Nice job, everyone! :-D
Treasure: The shields carried by the golem can be easily removed once the golem has been destroyed. These shields function as tower shields; they are poorly designed and weigh 60 pounds each. Anyone wielding one is considered flat-footed in addition to the –2 penalty on attack rolls suffered by all characters wielding a tower shield.
Lumnessa Raziel |
Lumnessa rushes around and gives everyone hugs, I'm so glad none of you died!
Girion, Son of Aroden |
Girion sinks to his knees and whispers thanks to Iomedae. "In no small part thanks to your searing fire, Lumnessa... I had no idea you had such a destructive side behind that smile!" Girion runs over to Harrow and begins healing him with his (Girion's) wand, and then heals anyone else as needed.

Lumnessa Raziel |
Lumnessa didn't need healing the two channels were enough.
Harrow Tatterhood |
Thanks for the heals! I do have my own wand, though...I can take the four charges for my own healing. Thanks, though!
Harrow groans, then rubs his eyes.
"Rain...no rain..." he mutters before standing. Looking at the wreckage of the statue, the destruction of which he had absolutely no part in, Harrow continues sulking in uncharacteristic silence.
