Berosius was raised in wealth and privilege, the son of a halflng tobacco farmer and great-grandson of a clan chief who helped Andoran in its fight for independence from Cheliax. A firm believer in the Andoran creed of liberty, Berosius was shocked from his affluent complacency when he encountered escaped halfling slaves from Cheliax who told him of the deplorable conditions in which his relatives lived.
Determined to do something, Berosius went against the wishes of his modern familty and visited the ancient shrine of his clan, a cave dwelling on the Chelaxian border. Evading Chelaxian patrols, he slipped into the cave and encountered the oracle who lived there. Or perhaps only the spirit of an oracle who had once lived there. Berosius was never sure. He doesn't speak of his time in the cave, but he emerged steeped in a primeval knowledge of the spirit world, simultaneously blessed and cursed with the constant presence of the entities of that strange plane. But he was more than a mere shaman, for Berosius believed he had been chosen for a reason - revolution. He was, he believed, the reborn incarnation of a martyr of the church of Milani the Everbloom, and can in fact access memories from this previous life. PERSONALITY:
Berosius is usually chipper and irrepressible, often able to see brightness in even the worst situations. He is a loyal ally to his few close friends, and is always willing to help the oppressed or oppose the rule of the unjust.
His personal motto is "No one dies on my watch," and he has been known to take extraordinary personal risks to rescue his allies. Although his usual role in conflict is to support and heal his allies, he is not against personally using violence to achieve his ends. He is merely aware that he's not particularly good at it. He carries no weapons other than a small knife. Berosius's best friend in all the world is the half-orc inquisitor of Ragathiel named Harrow.
