Protip: This might be a good spot for some tables to talk about their need for a ruby, or the recirculation of... :P

I know what that my group has five, but is there a way of tabulating whether multiple rubles glow? The chances given in the scenario are for only ONE of your rubies glowing, which is silly. I think that most groups would be happy to trade other glowing gems if they already knew that they had a glowing ruby.

It certainly makes sense.

The mechanics are a bit wonky as written, and wouldn't result in half the rubies glowing.

My table has one with one nearly going down though. It was close but that greatsword crit on a low tier is devastating.

Yup, that combat is horrible. Your character can die at level 1.

I don't think I've played in that scenario. Admittedly, any combat in a level 1 adventure that includes a longbow can be a quick end of a character. 3d8 can certainly kill a level 1 caster.

Anyways we have 5 rubies but as for the moment we don't which would glow. But It was a great first combat. only one of us was hurt and I wonder if the society should take our brawler as their candidate.
