OK. I admit it I am confused; on the where, the when and by the whom especially.
EDIT: ninja'd

I think we all are. What it seems like is that Danyn reposition and tripped the Tiger originally, which means it would have failed to Grapple him, and then everything progressed as normal. Kort killed the Tiger, and now Danyn has stopped Grundle from performing the CdG, leaving everyone else with an action at this point, and Zamir still alive. If that is correct, I don't think that Grundle can actually kill him, as there is nothing stopping everyone else from stopping him. If that is correct, we can break from the Combat Rounds and RP the rest of this out, though I'm not sure exactly how Zamir will react. Channeling, which Evigail an do, will bring the cat back, though, (probably).

Yep I'm fine with it.
"NOOO!!!! HE DESERVES TO DIE!!!" Grundle cries freely. Snot and tears running down his face. "You don't understand what it's like hangin' in chains. Fer days. *sniff* These chains," Grundle kicks at a spike on the spiked chain, "this is what someone like him did to me. That's why I carry 'em. *snort* When I killed them little bastards with the same chain they hung me up with...I promised I'd kill anyone that does that with the same chains."
Grundle sobs a bit longer and grows quiet...laying there panting on the floor with his eyes closed.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

" Ahhh quit your whinin', those strong enough to escape their shackles do. You escaped physically, but mentally you are still owned. Just sayin'."
"Judging a rakshasa by your own values will change nothing. Put the tiger out of its misery. Tell our new friend when he comes to thatn that was just an example of what we can do to our allies, and give him a minute to think about what we would have done to our enemies. "

Redirection is kind of confusing, but yes, as a Flowing Monk, I can use an immediate action to act out of turn and use a trip or reposition against someone who attacks me, and that resolves before their attack. Since this is different from an AoO, when Grundle starts his CdG, I get to make an AoO which I replaced with a disarm maneuver. Since Grundle is prone and grappled, his CMD is low and disarming him is fairly easy. Once that's all resolved, turn order comes around and I'm only down my swift action (from the immediate action of Redirection), meaning I could still full-attack him this round after doing all that.
Flowing Monks. FTW.
Danyn ignores the blithering mess of Grundle and works to unbind Zamir, for the moment maintaining the grapple in case he becomes hostile.
"Gidthizfellu odahir."

ok, Sounds good, and finally over. . . You take try to free the slaves, but the respond in common that Zamir, the Demon-Tiger kept a jidden key, and your attempts to break the chains fail. Finally finding the hidden location in his room, you are able to free the izards, who in turn repay you by reconstructing the Osirion artifact. It's a long trek back to the meeting spot, where the returning caravan meets you and takes you back. After a few days you find that Zamir kept his word, and did in fact join the Society.
I'll start working on those Chronicle Sheets and have them out in an hour or so. Game is reported. :)

"I'm loathe to kill the tiger. It's truly a beautiful and magnificent creature. Perhaps not the best taste in companions, but still noble."
"As for Zamir - I think ZSamir should see that we have our loyalties, and internal rules of conduct that we enforce. I don't know that Aspis would prevent one member from taking vengeance on another."

Well played Grundle/headkase. :)
Sorry the ball of yarn dinnae get used Kort.

I may have to make a magic ball of string, higher DC against anything with 'feline' in its description... though not in PFS, what with no crafting or whatnot. Ooh! Superstar submission for next year. Dibs!

Grundle looks up from his sitting position against a wall in the busy market. He shakes his head at some memory and fingers the spiked chain across his torso. Some new scars itched and he scratched, cursing as he broke one open with a nail.
A shadow falls over him and he looks up again and squints. "I ain't interested."
"You're interested. Or you're getting the punishment you deserve after the last report we received from the others in your last team."
Sigh. That damned giant was right...I'm still in chains. "Fine. What."
"Tone, Mr. Farbon. Watch your tone. Read this. Report. Get paid. Or go to jail and die."
As Grundle mutters the words while he reads he barely notices the shadow leaving. Always wanted to ride a river boat...
