His main shtick in combat is using the feat Divine Fighting Technique (Inspiring Sword) as a full-round action to grant a +2 sacred bonus to attacks, saves, and skill checks for all allies within 30'. He also has spells, but tends to conserve those for when really needed.

Just finished the final fight in the scenario Aroden was in. Chronicles should be on the way soon and I'll update his profile with the new level and new items as soon as that chronicle is issued. (I guess I could do the level now, I know he'll hit 4, just not sure how much gold he gets.)

I've been sick for last 3 days and I'm still sick. I will post as often as I can.

Pre-scenario purchases/sales: bought a Handy Haversack (-2000gp), sold a masterwork backpack (+25gp), bought a filter scarf (-5gp) at the start.

Aroden, a public link to Garduk's spellbook in Google Sheets is near the bottom of his profile page. I see you have Aroden's spellbook in his profile too, so I'll look it over and post rolls for copying (probably just taking 10) in the discussion thread before the chronicles are prepared.

My apologies for being slow to post the past few days - I had to rush out to NY on Wednesday to deal with a family medical issue (everything’s fine now), but I’ve been offline most of the time. I should be caught up by this evening.

I'm catching up on some of the Paizocon seminars that Know Direction recorded and put out as podcasts. I started the PbP seminar this morning, and our own GM Iestuna got a very nice shout out from one of the panelists, apparently for running a terrific game of The Confirmation some time back.

GM Iestuna - Is this the final encounter? I had Garduk tentatively signed up for a Session 2 game, and the GM for that game is trying to work out when to start in light of the updated schedule for Session 2. No rush - I have another character I can substitute if we are likely to go longer than she wants to wait.

The idols are diminutive, so they take up a 1 foot by foot square.

GM, I keep forgetting to try for faction card goals - I'm still using the Season 8 Dark Archives card for Garduk. For this scenario, I'll check off "Possess a number of ranks in one of the following skills equal to your character level (minimum 4): Bluff, Knowledge (arcana), Profession (archivist, librarian, or scribe), Spellcraft, or Use Magic Device." This brings me to the Archivist reward level, which, in addition to providing a bonus to one Knowledge or Linguistics check per scenario, grants Garduk a bonus language. He will take Ignan. I'm not sure how much of this needs to go on the chronicle sheet (if any), but wanted to let you know in case some or all of it does.

Once the PCs get back to the Lodge, Garduk will also ask Aroden if he can copy spells from his spellbook and will offer his own to let Aroden do the same. Assuming that Aroden agrees, I'll get you the list and costs with the needed Spellcraft checks (taking 10 will automatically succeed) for the chronicle sheet.

No problem Garduk. The chronicle sheets are done, so I'll add your notes once you get back to me and they can go up. The game is also reported.

I am looking through your spell list now. Can also make all the Spellcraft checks on Take 10. Think I'll take:

Alarm, Comprehend Languages, Detect Undead, Expeditious Construction, Heightened Awareness, Secluded Grimoire (6*10 = 60 gp)

Bear's Endurance, Cat's Grace, Fog Cloud, Scorching Ray (4*40 = 160 gp).

Thanks! So assuming Aroden has no objection to copying from each other's spellbooks, Garduk will copy five second-level spells from his spellbook once they return to the Lodge.

Garduk takes 10 on his Spellcraft checks and uses his cheat sheath (+2 circumstance bonus), to make a DC 17 Spellcraft check to add each spell to his spellbook at a cost of 40 gp each:

Blindness/Deafness Spellcraft to add to spellbook: 10 + 11 + 2 = 23
False Life Spellcraft to add to spellbook: 10 + 11 + 2 = 23
Gust of Wind Spellcraft to add to spellbook: 10 + 11 + 2 = 23
Levitate Spellcraft to add to spellbook: 10 + 11 + 2 = 23
Spider Climb Spellcraft to add to spellbook: 10 + 11 + 2 = 23

Total cost = 5 x 40gp = 200gp.
