"May we enter your personal quarters Oshessa? I promise we will be respectful, but we wish to learn what became of the last Starfinders, the ones who left." Omen-Seeker maintains a respectful voice.

If that fails, she will discreetly as she may, cast charm person, Will DC 14 on Oshessa.
GM Kate |
Oshessa considers your words, then smiles sweetly. "Well, there's hardly any room to talk in there, but perhaps I could show you the relics room now, and we could speak with a little more privacy."
She leads you back through the temple area to the library, and nods at Irtrine. She gestures for you to go through the airlock into the reliquary.

Are you trying to accomplish something specific with the Diplomacy check?
I was trying to sweet talk our way into Oshessa's quarters, but the relic room will do.
Al 2O3 |
Al 2O3 nods and follows, keeping a keen eye open for any potential dangers...thinking to themselves, "I just hope that Manta Corps' final act wasn't to join Oshessa for a 'private discussion' or somesuch..."
GM Kate |
The airlock spins open. It fills with water once you enter, and then the opposite side opens into the reliquary. An airtight semicylinder of glass reaching twenty feet high to the ceiling protects various decrepit tomes, a handheld computer, and a blood-encrusted, rusty spiked chain from the water that fills this chamber. An airlock exits to the east, while a steel door goes on to the west. A noticeable crack, almost the size of a human child, mars the northern wall here.
After a moment Oshessa enters. "I found that chain buried under the sea floor. When I first held it, I saw visions of the Weeping Knight. He has spoken to me ever since."
_Rocket_ |
"Are you alright? You seem a bit...upset? about something?"
Rocket asks Oshessa as he notices some twitch in her face.
"And how did that crack get in there? Some sort of earthquake? Is that why your nervous...is the whole place going to crash down?!"
Rockets nervously glances around worried about the sky falling suddenly.
Dart Handman |
Dart closely (as he can though the glass) examines the chain and the other tomes. Looking specifically for more Zon-Kuthon connections

"Oh, I'm just fine!" Dart and Omen-Seeker notice that several of the old tomes inside the glass case are definitely holy books of Zon-Kuthon. Just to be clear, it was the guard outside who seemed nervous!
The door to the west opens, and another morlamaw enters. Oshessa smiles.
"I care a lot about my people here. I didn't let the last group ruin us, and I'm not letting you ruin us either! That one has potential, but you're all a lost cause."
And...initiative.
You are underwater, but there's no current, so it is a DC 10 Athletics checks to move at half-speed. You can also walk along the bottom at one-quarter speed instead.
And to be clear, that's not Hinevera and Zavlig entering; I'm just reusing the art for pawns.

701 stands his ground, and he apparently is going to pull his new underwater sniper rifle from his back. Instead, discreetly, he tries to stab Oshessa with his new underwater knife, he was only fishing for an opening.

"So, we're done playing nice?"
Rocket looks at the others as 701 makes an attack
"Then we are in this to win it!"
Trying to avoid shooting one of his party members in the back Rocket takes a step to the side by forcing his way through the water and draws his newly discovered machine gun I assume we found it loaded, if not I'll draw another gun and with a grin on his face starts to unload it in the direction of the entering guard

The android professor's combat software activates with alacrity, just not as much as they wanted. A shimmering Energy Shield is generated by Ruby's glowing I/O port on Al's forehead, while simultaneously the android and AI begin telemetry Combat Tracking on the Magenta morlamaw.
Dart Handman |
"Cups of Grog!" Dart exclaims. "Your betrayal shall mark you and the wrath of the Drinkless God shall fall!"

GM Kate |
I was posting from my phone earlier to fill people in.
Dart hits with his AoO, but just barely. It did not take her down however, so her turn continued as described unless 701 can take her down. Al 2O3 made his Will save and Rocket took down indigo.
Right now 701 gets an attack of opportunity and has to make a Will save if Oshessa finishes her turn.

"Plachant! Tend the fallen" The valet pulls out the med kit and make his way to Oshessa.
Medicine to First Aid: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
I leave it to GM to figure out how rule the location of the ally. The guide says "You must expend any necessary actions and be in range to perform the action yourself." Or if any other Character wants to do the first aid instead
Al 2O3 |
Al 2O3 summons Yang to their side and swims to the door that Oshessa's allies came from, looking inside with rifle in ready-fire position, looking for any additional threats.

Seeing his enemies go down Rocket quickly goes over the things that are in this room as he tries to figure out how to get things from the air tight cylinder without anything inside getting water damage.
Can we access (or take with us?) the hand held computer?
GM Kate |
Plachant starts working to keep Oshessa breathing.
Al peers into Oshessa's bedroom. This flooded bedroom has an airlock on the southern wall and a door on the eastern wall leading out. A pile of soft materials in the northeast corner serves as a bed. Several metal lockbox chests line the room. The southern wall is covered with an image of a humanoid skull with chains coming out of the eye sockets.
Rocket can retrieve the computer. The records contain a detailed geological study of the natural resources in the surrounding area, including a map with several areas indicated as having large concentrations of clophirium. If retrieved, this information would speed up the mining effort by months, since it would eliminate the need to survey for the optimal locations.
The blood has begun seeping out the crack, and attracted the attention of local predators! A slippery snake pokes its head in, looking for a meal.
