The last thing the Super Mutant hears is a hydraulic hiss before his head is severed with a mighty swing from Edward, rolling to rest at Crispy's feet, a look of anger, pain, and astonishment on its face.

Wow! Good roll Edward!

The body falls to the ground, blood pouring from the newly opened neck, some of it landing on Edward's armor.

"And why would a sole Super Mutant be here, looking for trouble like this? It seemed intelligent enough to realize it was threatening a viable threat, so why not just stand back and unload on us with a firearm or explosive weapon of some kind?"

Wiping his blade on a scrap of cloth, Edward sheathes the oversized sword and retrieves his dropped laser rifle.

"Did the mutant have anything of value on him?"

Marcel relaxes his pose slightly and raises an eyebrow. "Because mutants are generally thick as a yard of radioactive yard?" He pauses for a moment and adds to Crispy and Co, "No offence intended to you, sirs."

Take 20 on Perception to scour the supermutant's corpse. Full-body deep cavity search coming up!

We should be careful, I have never heard of just one Super Mutant roaming alone. Where there is one there is bound to be more. Lilith mutters as she looks in the direction he came from.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18


Lilith is able to see that the Super Mutant came from what appears to be a roughly thrown together base made of barbed wire, scrap metal, and bones, both human and Super Mutant. It's impossible to miss that it was built by Super Mutants, since there are gore bags everywhere, hanging on an old lamp post, on the ground, and, of course, being carried by a few more Super Mutants into the complex. They haven't seen you yet.

Lilith is also able to hear the sound of someone screaming for help.

"Someone! Anyone! Help me!" The sound of flesh meeting flesh hits her ears. "SHUT UP!!"

Marcel gives a wide grin. Raising a hand, he orders everyone to stand still. Stepping forward, he carefully lays four mines in the dust, pulling stray gore and crap over them. Equally as silently he creeps back to the group. "Best angry faces now."

Raising his knives, he yells out "WHAT THE F+@! DO YOU FILTHY GREEN MUTANT SCUM THINK YOU ARE DOING?!?!"

"Is he talking to me? I'm not ugly!" Crispy whispers to Scab.

"Be prepared to withdraw. If able, let us bring these mutants into the mine field, shall we?"

Drawing his laser rifle, Edward sights down one of the mutants carrying gore bags, and waits for him to react to Marcel's taunt.

Called shot on the mutant's head, unless he draws a two-handed weapon, in which case on his arm. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 to hit, 3d10 ⇒ (3, 8, 5) = 16 damage


M Ghoul Engineer 4 (HP 19/27)

"Heh, yeah we are regular right fancy dapper gentlemen." Scab says with a feigned air of refinement as he readies his plasma pistol to fire and takes a called shot at the head of one of the super mutants.

1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 2 = 23
5d8 ⇒ (8, 7, 3, 1, 7) = 26 <-not sure how much more damage it does to the head

Lilith's blind charge leads her right next to one of four Super Mutant armed with a sledgehammer. Lilith's slash with her shishkabob hurt, but he's still up for it.

"Kill them all!!" one of the Super Mutants yell just as he gets hit with a plasma bolt to the face.

Crit Damage: 5d8 + 26 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 8, 8) + 26 = 52

His head dissolves into goop as Edward and Don take their shots as well. (He's dead. Good shot.)

I'll apply everyone else's turn first except for Lilith's cause she just said she'd be raging.

None of the Super Mutants are intimidated by the squishy thing.

The Super Mutant in front of Lilith (3) lets out a roar as well (Raging) and swings his sledgehammer down on her with both hands, placing it very precicely.
To Hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 4 + 2 = 24 (Max damage with a Powerful Blow!! Sorry Lil!) Lilith drops like a stone, but as she falls, the Super Mutant chomps on her.
Auto Hit against a helpless target.
Bite Damage (Large): 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

From the base you hear another roar and see another Super Mutant trudge forward. This one looks bigger than the others. He's got a metal helmet and straps, so he's gotta be one of the Super Mutant Bosses.

Edward recognizes the weapon strapped to his back from training. Marcel does as well.

The whirl of the Minigun winding up sends a chill through your bones.

Brute Stats:
HP: 60
DR: 25 Head, 5

If Lilith stabilizes, the order will continue.

when I said regret It I did not think you would kill me. Thanks a lot GM, ~sigh~ well I guess I can discuss with you later about a possible new character.

welp that brings me to -14...time to type out a death.

The pain fill her body as she slips unconscious. She falls and feels the mutant as he bites a chunk out of her. After she hits the ground she tries to use her will power alone to keep her alive. It is not enough as the world grows dim and the one know as Lilith is no more.

I have never had a character die before...almost lost one once it society and another in Neoexodus but eh.

"Scatter! That mini gun will chew us up if we bunch up. Seek cover!"

Edward moves away from the group, seeking to draw the fire of the Super Mutants towards him instead. Leveling his laser rifle, he draws a bead on the one he shot before, aiming for another headshot.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 attack; 3d10 ⇒ (5, 4, 7) = 16 damage
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 crit confirmation; 3d10 ⇒ (5, 9, 10) = 24 damage

Any cover available nearby?


Edward's laser rifle shot hits dead on. A notice from his pip boy says "Target Head Crippled." The Super Mutant reals back in pain, clutching his bleeding forehead.

Just a side step away is a pile of rubble about 5ft high. (Total Cover.)

Super Mutant one gets a face full of plasma bomb, then gets blown to smithereens with Crispy's bomb. (Super Mutant 1 is dead.)

The second Super Mutant takes blast damage from Crispy's bomb as well, stumbling a little ways.

Everyone jumps to cover as the Brute spins his minigun and fires a slew of rounds off in your direction, a roar of anger and bloodlust coming from him.

Edward stays behind cover and fires again, targeting the SMB's head (naturally).

So I apparently never leveled to 3. Dumb paladin. Fixed now, took point blank shot as my feat.

Marcel sprints to the side and ducks behind cover, making sure to keep a line between him, the mine and the mutant. He calls out to Crispy,
"Blow him up!"
and, pulling out a rifle, attempts to distract the mutant.

What's the damage on a hunting rifle again?


Hunting Rifle damage is 2d8. You confirmed, by the way.

Marcel's shot rings out true, striking the Brute in the head. He reals back in pain, Marcel's pip-boy notice saying "Target Head Crippled."

A confirmed Critical to the head does double printed damage and bypasses DR. Good shot.
Marcel's Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (5, 3, 8, 5) = 21
42 Damage total. HP:18


Forgot about Edward's attack. Silly GM.

The Brute receives another shot to the head, his wound cauterizing over. "It hurts!!"

HP:6. And the other one has 3.

Completely correct Edward. Trinity will be taking the place of Lilith.

Don, you only get the first shot since the hunting rifle has a clip size of 5. You'll have to reload as a standard action, so your turn's over. You can move and reload though.

Don's rifle makes a click, his shot not firing.
Don's rifle now has a misfire range of 1-3.

Crispy's bomb lands right between the two Super Mutants, detonating with enough power to take them both down.

Combat's over.

To recap, you still have someone in the Super Mutant compound, Lilith's dead, and there are a couple of mines out front.

Marcel bends to the ground and begins carefully and methodically dismantling his mines. Once done, he stands and walks slowly over to Lilith's corpse. Sighing, he removes his hat and bows his head. "Damnation..."

Remembering, he quickly dons his hat and his expression grows urgent. "Someone stay here and make sure no one takes her remains. We heard screaming- someone is still in danger here."


Female Human Swamp Druid 4

Annabell sits on the floor with a few gore bags around her cursing at the ropes tied around her wrist. Dammit all Can someone hear me and help me?!

She grunts after attempting to slip out only adding some rope burn to her wrist. She also in the end could not snap the ropes that bind her hands together. Disgusting Mutants when I get out of this you will be Yaoi Gai food. She growls to no one in particular.

"I will guard her earthly remains. Go, find the captive which brought our attention this way."

Edward reverently removes Lilith's various weapons and gear, setting them aside for the moment, before posing her body in repose.

"In olden times, a fallen warrior was buried with their weapons and wealth. We cannot afford to be so wasteful in this blighted world, but know that these Mutant scum went to the other side with you."
