Old Orleans is in need of heros. Is this you? A campaign based off of Fallout 3.

In the register is a couple bundles of prewar money, a few train track maps, and a box of bobby pins (3).

The maps show that the New Orleans Station is one of the larger stations on the map. Estimated times for most of the trains are on there as well. On the back is a picture of one of the engines. This must be what you're looking for.

Marcel pockets the pins and spreads out the maps and pictures. "This seems to be what we're looking for."

Does the map show us anything about where we need to go?

Well at least those of us not so smart with engineering know what to look for now.


The map shows you mostly the railroad stations and the stops. On the other side is a station directory. There's a food court, a few shops here and there, mostly a waiting station, and the tracks themselves.

The map doesn't really show where the trains would be kept after being in use.

Just start exploring! You'll find it eventually.

"Well, no engine's gonna be around here." Scab says, looking at the map. "Might as well find the tracks, and move along them looking for offshoots. That would be the best way to find where they store cars, heh."

"That makes sense. An engine would hardly be located far from the tracks where the trains rode, right?"

Very true, however we might be able to find something of use if we look in the shops like food, drinks, possible ammo the raiders stored.


Guns n' Ammo!? What do you think this is, some cheap tabletop with everything you need in one place?.....sometimes.

The stores are a few clothing stores, a couple of luxury items like suitcases, and a couple of convenience stores.

"If you're thinking what I'm thinking, then it would be wise to hide the parts and not sell them in the town we're returning the engine to."

"Quite right. Hide the stuff, sell it later to a few different merchants. Same town as the engine or not doesn't matter to me. I just know I could use some caps, heh."

Marcel is able to find a few good suits and pieces of clothing that could be used to maintain it.

The Ghoul brothers manage to find between the two of them some scrap metal and electronics that can be sold for some caps.

Annabell is able to find a few plants that have medicinal properties. Basically the druidic version of jet and a stimpak.

Annabell will pick a few of the plants before joining the party. We should get that engine and then head out


Now to find the maintenance bunkers. According to the map of the station, the trains would be placed underground to keep the radiation from reaching the people in the terminals.

One of these entrances must be nearby. Take a look around, see what you can find. Perceptions and/or Knowledge Engineering

You can remember a time when you actually visited this train station. Why you were here you can't remember, but you remember seeing a few men with large toolboxes down through the food court and down a set of stairs. Possibly off in that direction.

You're in the right place, just need a little guidance. But not yet.

Marcel raises an eyebrow and gestures for everyone to wait while he goes to check it out.

Marcel is able to stealthily move around and see that there is a molerat digging through an old refrigerator. It might have found something tasty, since it looks like it's eating something.

Crispy runs around his allies so that they're between him and the molerats. He then checks to see if there are anymore rats or big baddies that are hiding.

There aren't any more rats or other creatures at this time. Except for the one in front of him.

Molerat Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Molerat Bite Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Crispy your DR is wrong. We cut DR in half so you guys will actually take damage. Your DR is 6/- for now.

The Molerat that is chasing Marcel jumps to bite him.

Molerat Pounce Claw 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Ouch, Nat 1. That's gonna cost him.

Annabell and Tanden's target died while Edward and Scab's shots miss their targets, burning holes in the ground.

The Molerat's teeth finding nothing but a shred of cloak, Marcel continues sprinting away. "Keep firing!"

Annabell will shoot at the molerat attacking Crispy, and Tandan goes after the one on Marcel he gets a full round attack .

Scab's shot melts the molerat attacking Marcel after Tandan gets a taste of molerat blood.

Annabell's shot strikes true, hitting the molerat dead center, but it's still up, and still attacking the closest thing to it: Crispy.

Claw 1 To Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Crit Claw Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12

The molerat's claw cuts clean through Crispy's clothing, his pale translucent skin now sliced open. That looked like it hurt.

"Oh no you don't" Scab says, moving up to the rat and giving it a taste of gunpowder and steel. When his fist impacts, two shotgun shells empty their contents violently into the molerat.

Edward stows his laser rifle, stepping up to the molerat and delivering a strong punch to its body (with considerable less "bang" than Scab's blow).

Edward, your shot doesn't have to go off. It died.

The molerat explodes from the shotgun rounds from Scab's ballistic fist. The food court is now quiet save for the sound of blood dripping from the creatures you just killed.

"Heh, ol' girl's still got some bite in 'er, heh" Scab says, cracking a smile as he reloads his ballistic fist. When he is done, he takes out a knife and tries to get three or four rat legs from the ones that weren't pumped full of lead.
