Marcel heads into the building and (presumably) finds the shackled Annabell. He nods politely to her. "I'd hold back on those comments, some ghoul companions of mine just helped shred those Supers into jelly and bone. Would you like some help there, ma'am? Marcel Wiseman, at your service."

Annabell looks up to Marcel and simply nods at first. It would be nice, thank you, I have been here for a few days and them buggers locked my stuff up in that chest over there. she replies nodding her head to a foot locker in the corner. Names, Annabell Trinity, After I get outta here I can introduce you to my little buddy wherever her ran off to.


Male Human Monk 3

Don walks over to Lilith's body. He uses the butt of his rifle to draw a cross in the dirt over her head, and presses his large hand into the dirt on top of the cross, leaving a crossed palm in the dirt. He then sits quietly by the body and loads his rifle and mags.
Chamber one round, then load 5 in mag, for a total of six in the gun. One chambered, 5 in mag loaded in rifle, 5 in spare mag.


Inside the small makeshift building, gore bags abound and the smell of rotting flesh overwhelms your senses.

Annabelle is tied up next to a small cot covered in blood. Across from the cot is the footlocker where her stuff is. Across from that is a med box the Super Mutants probably stole. In the middle of the room is a small fire. On a spit is a large mole rat. It actually smells pretty good.

The building itself has barbed and razor wire around it. Blood, guts, and mangled body parts are everywhere.

Marcel slits Annabell's bonds and gets to work ransacking the building.

As Crispy heads into the building behind Marcel, he sees and smells the place that the mutants were calling home. "Ugh, this place is rancid... except for that Spit of Rat. Anyone gonna try it?"

I assume you want a Fort save for me as well.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 +2 if it's against nausia or sickness.

Annabell rubs her wrist walking over to the foot locker pulling out her equipment and making sure everything is in order. Next she puts her fingers in her mouth and lets out a loud whistle. The sound of a bear grunting like its mother called can be heard.


Crispy and Marcel are fine.

Outside, Edward, Don, and Scab are greeted by a strange site: A baby Yao Guai climbing out of a pile of rubble and running into the building, crying for its mother.

It nearly trips Marcel as it runs between his legs and up to Annabelle, so happy to see her again.

Annabelle's weapons were handled a little rough when they were thrown into the foot locker. It has a misfire range of 1-3 now.

She lets out a curse as she looks at her guns and then scrounges around the piles and starts to put bits and pieces together to repair them. The metal scarps she finds seem to fit perfectly on the weapons putting them back in perfect condition. She then bends down and hugs the baby Yao Gai. How are you doing little buddy? Mama missed you. I thought for sure that they had finished you off or something. She then turned to Marcel and the ghoul that had entered the room. This little baby is Tandan. I found him orphaned after some mutants killed his mother i presume. He took a liking to me and thinks I am his mother. Don't worry he is really sweet and would not hurt a fly unless I tell him to. Casting mend

Marcel raises an eyebrow but passes no comment on the maternal scene.

Do we get to loot Lilith's body?

Annabell leaves them to search the place, she steps out into the sun light sighing as the rays hit her. She then looks over at the party offering a small wave before approaching those watching the body of Lilith. She speaks softly Where I come from we have a small blessing we do for fallen warriors would it be alright if I did that since she died aiding in my rescue so she must have been a noble warrior at that.


Male Human Paladin 4

"It would indeed be right and proper to speak for the memory of a fallen warrior. Both Don Who Walks Behind and myself have said our words, by all means do as you see fit."


Male Human Monk 3

Don will claim 35 caps (1/6th of 210) the bubble gum,and he sets aside the armor and shishkebab
Eyeing the newcomer, Don says quite bluntly Your pet worries me. He turns to the rest of their group and asks Anyone mind if I grab the armor or the firesword?

"Whatever you can use and need, take. There is no utility in leaving valuable items to waste and be scavenged by raiders."


Male Ghoul Alchemist 3

"So... uh... Annabell, was it? Hi, I'm Crispy. I'm one of many explosives experts here." Crispy says to the new girl.

Marcel picks up Lilith's buckler and carefully uses it as a spade to dig a short grave for Lilith in clear ground beneath the open sky. Once finished, he wipes his brow and with help lifts and drops her body into the grave. Gathering a handful of dust, he sighs, closes his eyes and bends his head, clasping his hands.

"Into thy hands, O merciful Savior, we commend thy servant Lilith Garndens, now departed from the body. Acknowledge, we, humbly beseech thee, O Lord, a sheep of thine own fold, a lamb of thine own flock, a sinner of thine own redeeming. Receive her into the arms of thy mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen."

Throwing the dust over her, he allows anyone else to say some final words and then covers her grave with the buckler again.


I am a terrible GM! You guys were searching in three places and I never gave you a loot list!!

Marcel's search of the Super Mutants and the Super Mutant compound reveal not very much.

sawed off shotgun (will claim more rounds if no one wants them) the shotgun can be used to repair my ballistic fist, the rounds work for my ballistic fist, plus i wanted one in the beginning but couldnt afford it

I'm good with everyone taking whatever they can use. Edward is pretty much armed to the teeth right now (sword, dagger, laser rifle, assault rifle, 10mm pistol, and railway rifle) and can carry some 200lbs more of equipment, since he's already heavily encumbered with his armor.

No worries about the little bear, even when he grows they have loyalty to their parents and any other of their kind. He has not seen any yao Gaui and so he believes that we are his kin his pack per say. she looks around the group. So where you all heading? Also what is that shiny thing on your wrists...where could I get something like that?

"These things? some trinket vault-dwellers had. We took 'em off of the ferals that they turned into. Our erstwhile companion had one, heh, but they're a bit tough to get off."

Scab shifts his gaze, letting that sentence end where the thoughts it stirred began.

"as to where we are going, that would be the ol' train station. we have some pokin' around to do down there."

"Should you wish to claim Lilith's Pip-Boy, by all means, Annabell. It will require some tool work to unfasten the bolts, though."

If we are able to get it off it would be nice, if not perhaps we will be able to find an old abandoned vault to get a new one eventually. She bows her head in acknoledgement of the fallen warrior.

Another vault? Sounds like fun!"

"Well, they are designed to come off. I imagine the gentlemen here" Edward gestures to Crispy, Scab, and Marcel as he speaks, "can figure a way to remove it."


M Ghoul Engineer 4 (HP 19/27)

Scab takes the pip boy off with careful adjustments and installs it to the newcomer's arm.


Annabell now has a Pip Boy strapped to her arm. It lights up with info about her person, equipment, and other assorted information. One thing that catches her eye is a holotape marked "Contract."

Out of curiosity the swamp druid plays the holotape.


Blasting over the small speaker of the Pip-Boy is John Henry's voice. Everyone else heard this before, as it is John speaking about his dream for the railroad through Old Orleans.

"Hmm. So that's the fellow we are working for, huh? Well, no time like the present to find that railroad station."

Marcel nods to Annabell "Perchance, ma'am, would you be willing to join us on our contract? Our loss is significant, and we could without doubt use your skills."

If Annabell says yes, then off to the train station.

"I think we're done here, too. Let's head out." Crispy adds to Marcel's last statement.

"Indeed. Let us proceed."

Saying one last brief blessing over Lilith's grave, Edward reseals his helmet and shoulders his gear. Laser rifle at the ready, and Lilith's greatsword strapped aceoss his back, he waits for the stealthy, perceptive folks to take point.

Scab, pistol ready, moves to continue their movement to the station.


The train station looms in the distance, as do several mines. Annabell is able to tell that these mines were set to deter wanderers from venturing that way. Why remains to be seen.

How do you wish to proceed to the station?

those of us with high perception could lead the way, steering us between mines so we dont take days disarming them. this would leave us protected from the rear as well, but would also prevent us from a safe hasty retreat if we had to make one.

I'm happy to take the time disarming them; more explosive and caps for us. Maybe we just make a narrow path right through the middle though, so we can easily retreat if we need to.

I'm with Marcel. Clear a path, perhaps marked with some rubble or something clear but not overtly obvious. Then we get more booms and don't have to worry about getting exploded on our way in.

I think that's fine, but Crispy has had some experiences that has resulted in him being called Crispy. Let's not make this one of them and have someone else disarm and Perception them.

Crispy will help spot and disarm if that is the party plan. Despite appearances, he is somewhat good at it.


Assuming you proceed to disarm and slowly move forward, the party of wasteland misfits proceeds westward towards the train station. Along the way, you see the remains of several buildings that were presumably office buildings or cafe's. To think the world would destroy years of history and culture just to show who has more power...

As you continue down the street, Tandan perks his ears as he hears something a little ways away. He lets out a soft cry and paws at his mother's leg to get her attention.

Perception check to see if you can notice what Tandan did. It is audio based, if that means anything.
