The Nameless GM |
Adam looks up at Scab. "What's a....Super Mutant? On second thought, I think I'll find out myself."
Needless to say, there is no resistance up to the medical bay.
3 of each Chem
3 Rad-Away
2 Blood packs
2 Crutches
2 Medical Braces
1 Doctor's Bag (apply to remove all special conditions such as fatigue, nausea, any illness, or radiation poisoning. Has a total of 10 uses)
1 Journal of Medicine (+10 Heal for 1 hour. DC 15 Int increases duration to 2 hours)
There's a lack of bodies, blood, or real medical equipment. "We were pretty careful, considering our jobs, so no real injuries happened."
At this point, Marcel is back with the team.

Vincent "Scab" |

is someone keeping tabs on all the spoils? i noticed there havent been any posts outlining what each person has taken in awhile. maybe we should to that in the discussion thread?
"Yeah, theyre big and green. Some say mean, heh. Their fingers are too big to do any really technical things, but if you need an engine lifted, well, there's no better replacement for a cherry picker"

Marcel the Wise |

Marcel reappears in the infirmary doorway. If no one objects, he scoops up one of the stimpacks. "These things are incredible; two weeks of hospital treatment in a bag."
Stashing it in his pocket, he turns to the Paladin. "So what do you think the Brotherhood will make of this vault? With some fixing up it could be a credible stronghold. If one with no escape passage."

Knight-Brother Edward Monroe |

"I feel no unease. This place holds many crucially important artifacts and stores of information. I relish the thought of re-acquiring the glory of our lost world."
"Keep your eyes open for a steam assembly structure and a pressure cooker. I would very much like to build and test this new weapon system."

Vincent "Scab" |

Scab will scoop up a stimpak, some chems, the 10 MF cells if no one took them as well as some Abraxo

Lilith Garndens |

She looks over the chems before shrugging, "I am already stocked up on Stimpacks and Radaways as is. So you all can have them. The only things I am in need of really is more water my supply is low and food since I have not been back to the city for some time now." She says to the party as she looks over the medical devices and such.

The Nameless GM |
Adam turns to speak to Marcel. "If you think you'll find other artifacts from a lost age, think again. No was was allowed to do anything without permission, and the dorms were for rest and relaxation only. The most you'll find are a few clothes they had when they entered."
Adam speaks up at Lilith's comment involving water. "There should be plenty of water in the diner. We were set on supplies for 100 years, but when the majority of us started to turn, we lost our appetites. Should be plenty for you guys."
The dorms won't have very much. You can look if you wish, but you'll be mostly passing things by.
Adam leads the way back into the main Atrium, then up to the Diner. Inside, the place is nearly clean, except for a few plates and cups here and there. Tables and booth seating abound with plenty of room for everyone. In the back is a stove, fridge, dry storage, and a broken down Mr. Handy unit.
"I almost forgot about poor Andy here. Hang on a second." He kneels down and starts to tinker with "Andy" and before you know it, the Mr. Handy floats back up into working order.
Andy: "Good evening sir. May prepare you a supper fit for a king?"
Adam: "Yes, and make enough for seven." An idea comes to mind. "And make sure you include the Mac and Cheese."
Andy: "Yes sir. Right away."
And with that, Adam floats into the kitchen and starts cooking. The smell wafting in is something that can only be described as "heavenly." Good meals are hard to come by in the Marshes. In Old Orleans, it'll cost you a good chunk of change, so having a free meal that'll sit in your stomach is something to stick around for.

"Crispy" Frank |

"Did he say Mac&Cheese? I heard him say Mac&Cheese. I love the stuff. Good eats, good explosive. Erm... you didn't hear that last part." Crispy says. The first part is to Scab, but the second part is to Adam.
I know it's too late to edit the post, but it would appear that Adam floated away.

Max Logan |

Max chuckles at Marcel's joke as he follows along with the group. Being a member of the Brotherhood, and in possession of skills which allow for the purification of food, Max is not as excited about the coming meal as his new travelling companions, yet it is is welcome none the less.

The Nameless GM |
Andy returns a few moments later with plenty of food for everyone, including the Mac and Cheese. "Here you are, sirs and madame. Enjoy."
Andy rotates to face Edward. "I noticed that you found the schematics for the Railway Rifle, sir. I took the liberty of retrieving it for you." He hands Edward the pressure cooker. "If you need assistance assembling it speak with the Overseer. He would be able to assemble it with little trouble." Andy floats back to the corner of the room, watching everything going on.
Since you made the check earlier to make sense of the blueprints, the DC is lower. Engineering or Craft Weapon will be needed to make the rifle. You also need to assemble it somewhere else. Tinkering with tech at the table is not only rude, but you need to build it somewhere with no distractions. Adam can help you with that.

Knight-Brother Edward Monroe |

Popping the seals on his helmet, Edward's face becomes visible for the first time. Smooth skinned and almost baby-faced, he seems too young to be as big and imposing as he is.
"Ah, dinner and clean water. Thank you, 'Andy'."
After receiving the pressure cooker, "This is most excellent. I am very excited to see this weapon system in action. Perhaps Adam can assist me after dinner."

Vincent "Scab" |

Scab spends all of his time waiting by fiddling with his pip boy and contributing occasionally to the conversation. When the food arrives, he passes the pip boy over it to see if the clicking starts again. If it does, he warns the smoothskins.
Scab, too, takes off his helmet to start eating. His face looks mostly greyish-green with several areas that look ashy from scrapings.
"Thanks for the grub!"

The Nameless GM |
The Pip-Boys don't do that clicking noise over the food since they are not irradiated. The Pip-Boys have a built in Geiger counter that automatically go off if there's radiation in the area. Within 5 ft.
A large number of cups, plates, spoons, forks, and knives.
6 bottles of Purified Water
4 Kitchen Knives (the weapon)
1 Pilot light (if you wish to destroy the oven)
Adam doesn't spend supper with the team, instead heading to a different part of the Vault. By the time you finish, he's returned with a backpack full of stuff.
"I took the liberty of sifting through the dorms for anything that may be valuable. Since I didn't really know, I just brought back all their pre-Vault clothing." He looks at Lilith. "I thought you could use a few bobby pins to hold your hair back, so I brought those back too."
5 pre-war casual wear
10 bobby pins
Adam stands near the door to the Diner. "When you're finished, I'd like to be off. I've already said my goodbyes to this place. Only thing left now is to leave."
Andy floats over to the Overseer. "Shall I accompany you sir?"
Adam nods. "Yeah, I could use an assistant with a weapon."
Andy spins his saw blade and charges his plasma arm. "Yes sir."
Adam and Andy will accompany you out to Old Orleans. Andy will protect Adam, so you don't have to worry as much if there's combat.

Lilith Garndens |

Lilith takes a box of blamco, Bubble gum, cram, fancy lad snack cakes, Potato crisps, Salisbury steak, sugar bombs, and a sweet roll for the road placing them in her backpack. She then takes one of the bottles of water placing that in her pack as well. "Thanks, however I think Marcel or scab could make better use of the bobby pins then I could." She says softly to Adam.
Fallout Wiki is the best place to find the list of the packaged food so that you do not take all and end up like overemcumberanceing yourself.

Vincent "Scab" |

Scab will take the same share of stuff Lilith took. Also he will grab some bobby pins

The Nameless GM |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"I can help you with that, Paladin." Adam doesn't know that Edward is not yet a Paladin, still at the rank of Knight. Needless to say, he helps Edward build the rifle.
It takes about 5 minutes.
The new Railway Rifle is built and ready. Adam hands Edward the rifle. "A hundred years in this Vault and this is the only thing we have to show for it. Take good care of it, ok?"
This is the one weapon a Paladin is not proficient with. Since it has not existed in the world before, you can't be trained with it. The next time you have a chance to spend a feat, you may spend it on Railway Rifle Proficiency.
EDIT: I've decided that would be a waste of a feat. If you lvl up with the rifle or any custom weapon in your possession, you may take that weapon's proficiency feat as a Bonus Feat for that lvl.
Range: 60 ft
Damage: 2d6 (19-20)x3
Clip: 6 round clip (railway spikes)
Special: If used in a Called Shot, a confirmed critical does x6 damage instead of x3 damage.

Vincent "Scab" |

would it be possible to take a stab at programming them? even one of them? i'd like a pet heh

The Nameless GM |
The robots are indeed husks, as the electronic components needed for command programing have been removed. It would take a genius, or rather an Engineer, to make it happen.
You'll need 10 scrap electronics, a functioning computer, and a Connection Cable in order to reprogram a robot. However, you'll need to make a DC 35 Engineering or Craft in order to make the proper computer chips. Or just ask Adam.
"Yes, let's be on our way. I wish to see how the world has changed." Adam leads the way to the Vault entrance, where he then takes one last look at the Vault before turning his back and walking onto the rock that is the new Earth.
When you reach the end of the tunnel leading to the Vault, it is night. According to your Pip-Boys, it is 12:45am. The lights from Old Orleans shine in the distance, providing enough light to walk travel by. Low Light can see just fine. Normal vision will need a form of light to see.
"So that's what's become of New Orleans...It's kinda pretty. Let's go, shall we?" Andy follows behind Adam as they travel, his propulsion jet letting off a low rumble behind the team.

Vincent "Scab" |

Scab will make sure to lock the vault closed so hopefully no one will come in and program those robots or jack with the reactor.
