The scow, free of its moorings, begins to move with the current.

The roaches' instincts drive them to attack more bite-sized prey than the imposing Scarlet or even the svelte Alia.

The rustier roach snaps at Posh but misses deft the gnome. Meanwhile, it continues to leak transparent blood on the gangplank from its wound. 1 hp damage.

bite v Numalar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Hit, but DR 10!

The darker bug bites Numalar who discorporates in a flash of magical fire and a puff of smoke, reappearing whole an instant later and causing a moment of hesitation in the oily black roach.

Conditions: Green areas are considered difficult. The lighting is dimming, but still light enough to not be dim. The trash, the scow's railing and the height out of the water give creatures on the deck partial cover from creatures on the dock.

I placed myself on the ship,flanking with Luna(want to spellstrike next round), hoping the roach dies and I can move freely. Otherwise I guess I'm still below Roachie with the Acrobatics.

Belia smiles as she picks her way toward Scarlet. The look turns to stupefied surprise as the enlarged warrior caught in a squeeze between the mid-castle and rail (for a further -4 to hit) still manages to land two powerful, fiery blows upon her that leave the rat girl sucking for air but still standing.

Vernon's snout twitches.

Celyne leaps across the gap as the scow slowly starts to move off and grabs the railing. The deck is elevated above the dock. Details.

Celyne climb (over the railing, -1 AC penalty): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

The scow's sides are slick with algae and her boots struggle to find purchase.

Celyne is hanging off the rail but needs a DC 10 climb check to reach the deck.

Rusty hasn't moved. He's currently staggered and only gets one standard or move action per round.

For a moment, Numalar seems to change to solid gold when struck by the roach.

Numalar then steps back between Posh and Zokon.

"Zokon, if worst comes to worst, perhaps you could throw me onto the boat."
Maybe nobody tosses a dwarf, but I figure gnomes are fair game! :) FYI, Numalar with gear weighs about 50 lbs. It might take both hands, but Zokon with his 16 STR could probably throw Numalar 10 feet.

The rust-colored roach's final exertion combined with the damage inflicted by Alia last round finally drops the beast into a puddle of it's own transparent blood.

Posh, I'm delaying you and assuming you continue your performance.

Vernon slashes at Luna hoping to cripple the cat before moving on to the giantess, but in his mounting agitation misses.

The scow moves off 30' down the boardwalk away from the dockside battle, with Celyne still clinging to her side, the half-elf's boots kicking in the water.

Zokon I'll assume takes a 5-foot step back to avoid an AoO and shoots the black roach at point blank range--twice, hard enough to drop most creatures--except tenacious giant roaches.

It returns the favor snapping at, but missing Zokon.

Numalar looks with dismay at the boat as it begins to drift quickly downstream. "Selbina's Tears! Alia, Posh; I'll deal with this roach - one of you grab the rope that was on the front and toss it to Scarlet!"

I think the other end of the rope that Vernon cut is attached to the post that is closest to Scarlet.

Numalar takes a step back. "Enough of this nonsense. Qa' quv!"

Meh... not a great roll but hopefully it's enough. If not, maybe Alia can finish it off and Posh can go for the rope?

@Numalar: Can't be enough. In this case, we know exactly that they have 34 "HP" total, as my attack put it at -33 HP, but it only dropped after attacking me and going to -34 HP, preventing me from boarding the scow

@GM: Is the pier wide enough to evade the beetle while going after the scow? As in, move "below" it on the map? Or is the pier only 15 foot wide and it sits square in the middle?...Stupid beetle is stupid, but Scarlet and Luna are trapped on the boat, so I'd go after that rope(or get in position to try and jump aboard).

There is more pier (width and length), but is there more time? ;)

The mooring ropes were cut from the scow by Belia and aren't more than foot-long tassels hanging from the scow's sides. The long ends are hanging from the dock.

Also the beetle takes a point of damage for attacking Zokon when it did.

Black roach Reflex save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Numalar's breath raises horrid welts upon the roach's back. Air and fluid boil from its spiracles.

Scarlet leans over and pulls Celyne up on the ship deck.

Yep. We could kill it by provoking -_- Only I don't know that in-character, so doing total defense and rushing past the roach to kill it would not make sense. Am still considering options, but with Scarlet, Celyne and Luna stuck on the ship and Posh MIA right now...well, right now I'm in favor of evading the roach, and letting Zokon finish it off. He won't have other good targets next round otherwise...also I can only fast-swap from bow to blade by dropping the bow. I would not drop my blade, so swapping to ranged would take too long.

Seeing the ship take off, Alia will start running, curving around the bug, using the full breadth of the pier to get a good running start towards the Scow.

Running, jumping aboard...if you are disinclined to let me "run" arked, instead of pure straight line, I'd jump right from where I am, towards the end of the scow. Just seemed to make more sense like this, flavorwise.

Celyne struggles to climb up onto the deck and finds herself lifted in the air and placed gently onto the deck by Scarlet...
