Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Paddy charges in, and stabs at one of the gremlins.
Paddy will try to get into a flanking position opposite Hisao in order to get sneak attack...if not he moves beside Hisao
[dice=attack] 1d20 + 4 + 1; 1d6; 1d4 add +2 if flanking
Paddy flanks a gremlin with Hisao, but the little fey dodges his dagger thrust....

Round 7 - 9
Upon the request of a rather weapon laden acolyte, Tiberius would come to a stop on the stairs and start stowing his weapons away as he is presented with the mighty weapon. With a quick, "Thank you!" in French, Tiberius would accept the weapon and start back up the stairs.
Round 10
Does Tiberius know that the Gargolyes tend to protect the cathedral?
Knowledge (local) DC 15 to know the gargoyles traditionally defend Notre Dame cathedral and its clergy and faithful....

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Tevaga rushes (not charges) up to the closest healthy gremlin, screaming For health activating her "healing" judgment as a swift action. She does try to avoid being caught between 2 creatures to avoid flanking, though (if possible) she will assist others.
Tevaga now has fast healing 1
[dice=attack] 1d20+5
[dice=damage] 1d6+3
Tevaga strikes a gremlin hard, laying it out flat!

Tiberius Tacitus |

Round 10
Seeing as Tiberius is not trained in Knowledge (local), he is unable to make that check. I will act accordingly.
While Tiberius was unsure of why his potential allies focused on the smaller targets, Tiberius knew that the gargolyes were hostile and would act accordingly as he steps up and swings his newly obtained magical cold iron earth breaker at the menacing creature, never realizing it was being forced to act against it's will.
Earth Breaker Attack Roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Earth Breaker Damage Roll: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 5) + 7 = 17
Well that was an unfortunate, yet possibly fortunate, roll.

Tevaga the redeemer |

She speaks towards Tiberius:
Be careful warrior! The gargoyles are under some enchantment that has made them break their oaths!

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

.
.
In French then English
To his new allies: Let us try to end the Gargoyles' curse, brought on by the traitorous Cleric -- The Necromancer.
To the Gargoyles: Gargoyles, forget not who made thee; forget not whom you protect. Fight the influence of the vile Necromancer cursing you -- he LIES!
We will break your curse!
... Iommi-Tyr Magnusson shoots at any Gremlin within 30' who is NOT in melee -- there are 4, yes?. (If all Gremlins are in melee Iommi-Tyr Magnusson will ready an action to fire when said conditions exist.)
Hand Crossbow w/ Cold Iron bolt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Gargoyle of Notre Dame |

[dice=Earth Breaker Attack Roll]1d20+7
[dice=Earth Breaker Damage Roll]2d6+7Well that was an unfortunate, yet possibly fortunate, roll.
Tiberius brings the magic cold iron earth breaker down with great force, but the gargoyle dodges aside, and the great cold iron head of the maul hammers the flagstone floor of the belfry with an echoing boom!

Alphonse Veritas |

"The Gargoyle does not reek of evil. I would like to avoid killing it, if possible." Alphonse calls back to the rest of the group. His opinion is corroborated by Iommi's mention of the Necromancer.
Nevertheless, he feels this creature is dangerous enough that attacking it without intent to harm would be folly.
For now, he stands at the ready to attack any enemy who comes nearby.
Readied action: Attack if an enemy comes within Reach.

Gargoyle of Notre Dame |

The gargoyle wipes pebbles from its eyes with the back of a stony claw and points a stony talon at Michael the Warsong, pouting grotesquely....
Te ludere aliquam cantantem aut membratim tibi dirumpam!!
In spite of this threat, it approaches no closer to the mute minstrel....

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

One of the gremlins squeaks in high-pitched French:
Plutôt jouez un hymne funèbre de funérailles pour vos amis stupides, musicien! HEEHEEHEEHEE!!!
The gremlins dart away from their attackers into shadowy corners of the belfry, withdrawing where necessary to avoid AoOs....

Tevaga the redeemer |

Not sure where we are round 10-wise, but here are my actions for round 11
Tevaga continues harrying the gremlins, going after the same one paddy & hisao using her cold iron shortsword.
Note: if moving would provoke an AOO, she will go after whoever's threatening her
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Paddy |

Well, let's get after them! Paddy implores.
He steps towards the nearest gremlin and tries to impale it with his blade.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d6 ⇒ 2
crit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d6 ⇒ 1 edit: crit confirm roll

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Well, let's get after them! Paddy implores.
He steps towards the nearest gremlin and tries to impale it with his blade.
[dice=attack] 1d20 + 5; 1d6
[dice=crit] 1d20 + 5; 1d6 edit: crit confirm roll
Paddy dashes after a gremlin, sticking it in the back with the cold iron dagger and causing it to squeal....
YIPE!!
As he advances after the little monster, his booted foot snags a tripwire, bringing a bucket of tiny bronze ball bearings down to scatter and roll in a 10-ft-radius spread underfoot.... Paddy must succeed on a DC 12 Reflex save to avoid falling prone!
The ball bearings roll into Hisao's square, too.... DC 12 Reflex save to avoid falling prone, Hisao!

Hisao of the Yellow Reeds |

Refliex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
And demonstrates his own agility by smoothly avoiding the trap as he pursues the retreating gremlins avoiding the stone monster because... hey it's a stone monster. He will try to get into flanking position and wail away with the heavy weapon.
Heavy mace attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 161d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Please add +2 flanking bonus to attack roll if that is a possibility

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

** spoiler omitted ** Hisao mutters to himself as he misses.
[dice=Refliex]1d20+6
And demonstrates his own agility by smoothly avoiding the trap as he pursues the retreating gremlins avoiding the stone monster because... hey it's a stone monster. He will try to get into flanking position and wail away with the heavy weapon.
[dice=Heavy mace attack]1d20+1;1d8+1
Please add +2 flanking bonus to attack roll if that is a possibility
Flanking a withdrawing gremlin with Paddy, Hisao brings the head of the cold iron mace down on its little skull with great speed and force, crushing the wicked little fey!

Paddy |

Aye, me boyo...that's the stuff! Paddy says at his new found ally.
]b] Let's go send sone more of the wee buggers to the pits of Hades , eh?[/b]
Paddy then seeks out a gremlin to skewer.

Tevaga the redeemer |

Perhaps if we dispose of these tricksters it will calm the Gargoyle! says Tevaga, while still staying as far from the gargoyle as possible while slaying gremlins.
Not puting any more actions as I am going to wait for others to complete round 11

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

.
.
.
Standard Action: Reload Handcrossbow w/ Cold Iron bolt.
Move Action: (If necessary) Move to keep w/in 30' of one of the four Gremlins not likely to be in melee.
....Obviously in the next round I will fire.

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

.
.
Thanks Rynjin!
Iommi-Tyr Magnusson fires if he doesn't need to move to get within 30':
for rynjin!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
for me: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Aye, me boyo...that's the stuff! Paddy says at his new found ally.
]b] Let's go send sone more of the wee buggers to the pits of Hades , eh?[/b]
Paddy then seeks out a gremlin to skewer.
He spots one lingering about 10 ft away in a shadowy corner where crates and buckets are stacked....
It makes eye contact, gasps in fear, and looks around for an escape route!

Paddy |

Paddy dashes at the gremlin, a grim demeanor fixed on his face.
Say hello to yer kin when you get to Hell, ya blighter ya!
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d6 ⇒ 5

Alphonse Veritas |

Round 12:
"Agreed, Tevaga. Let us deal with these things first."
Alphonse moves in and slashes a Gremlin with his new Greatsword.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Charmaine Da'vi |

Charmaine calls out to the lord to give her the strength to fight this evil as she does that her sword burst into golden flames.
i'll use my last blessing to cast holy strike on my long sword
Smite thy evil, i am a conduit of good
Charmaine moves to the closest goblin menacingly as the golden flames dance around her sword and illuminate her face. Her hands tighten around the hilt of her long sword as she readies to strike.

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Paddy dashes at the gremlin, a grim demeanor fixed on his face.
Say hello to yer kin when you get to Hell, ya blighter ya!
As Paddy dashes at the gremlin, grim demeanor suddenly changes to startled surprise as the "blighter" suddenly yanks a thin cord connected to the bucket while springing out of the way, spilling an eye-abrading dust of flour mixed with powdered talc in Paddy's square!
Reflex save DC 15, or Paddy is blinded for 1d6 ⇒ 4 rounds!
If he succeeds on his save, his attack on the gremlin strikes.... If not, his blinded condition grants the gremlin a 50% miss chance.... 01-50 misses....1d100 ⇒ 40

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Round 12:
"Agreed, Tevaga. Let us deal with these things first."
Alphonse moves in and slashes a Gremlin with his new Greatsword.
Heeheehee!!! JENGA!!!
As Alphonse moves in, greatsword raised, the gremlin yanks a peg out of a precariously stacked heap of crates and barrels, studded with nails driven through from within, causing them to topple toward the young paladin!
Reflex save DC 15 to avoid 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7 piercing and bludgeoning damage, Alphonse....
If he survives this gremlin trap, his attack cleaves the gremlin who triggered it from crown to groin, the two halves flopping wetly to the belfry floor!

Gremlin of Notre Dame |

Charmaine calls out to the lord to give her the strength to fight this evil as she does that her sword burst into golden flames.
i'll use my last blessing to cast holy strike on my long sword
** spoiler omitted **
Smite thy evil, i am a conduit of good
Charmaine moves to the closest goblin menacingly as the golden flames dance around her sword and illuminate her face. Her hands tighten around the hilt of her long sword as she readies to strike.
The gremlin Charmaine moves toward cuts a thin cord, dropping a sack of bricks upon the young holy woman for 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7 bludgeoning damage, unless she evades with a successful DC 15 Reflex save!

Gargoyle of Notre Dame |

Growling and narrowing its stony eyes, and given a wide berth by the newly arrived adventurers, the gargoyle stomps toward the mute minstrel whose lament so stirred its stony heart....
When it comes within reach of Michael the Warsong, it roars!
Ludere a lætitia, culus!!

Alphonse Veritas |

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
"Aaagh!" Alphonse cries in pain as the debris pierces his flesh.
Good thing I didn't actually get hit by the Gargoyle earlier or I'd be in real trouble.

Jean Lamarre |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Jean Lamarre has been living in a mom-and-pop run inn recently, serving the owners for his keep. He is mopping the floor of the foyer as he hears quite literally, fate come crashing down into his life again. If there has been any talk of an overt rallying of the people against Conflagratius en Paris, then Jean has been oblivious to it, in dealing with both his mundane work and the horrors of his prescience.
............
Jean hears the reknowned bells of Notre Dame crash, and the sounds of ruckus, conflict and crisis. He has been awaiting the directive of the Spirit of the Lord for when he might find those whose quest coalesced with his own, and when the bell crashed, his heart found a tense quickening.
He abandons his duties, as he has done many times before, for lesser bouts of paranoia than this, grabbing once again his worn soldier outfit and hastily making way for the Cathedral.
We can say he started at the inn, maybe 3 blocks away? This could also be happening several rounds back, and he could be running for those rounds to get to the gargoyles outside the gates, starting maybe, next round? Lemme know what works for you GM.

Jean Lamarre |

Alright, so are there gargoyles at the front of the church still, or did they all go inside to attack the battalion? Should I just zerg all the way there?

Tevaga the redeemer |

Assuming round 11 is over, here are my moves. I've also been forgetting the +1 on my weapon, so I will add that now.
Tevaga aproaches a wounded Gremlin and STRIKES with her shortsword.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
If I can, I'll give a quick look around the belfry, make sure no other Gargoyles are closing in...
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Gargoyle of Notre Dame |

Three gargoyles remain outside on the edge of the western facade....
On hearing and seeing Jean Lamarre's swift approach, they again take up the pieces of jagged slating or cornerstones torn off the ancient cathedral and assail this late-comer with a fresh volley of mortar!
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 strikes Jean for 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 bludgeoning damage as a chunk of mortar pelts him!
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 and a slate shingle deals 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 bludgeoning to Jean as well!
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 misses!
The oracle tries to make it through the gauntlet of rubble-chucking gargoyles, but falls under two unfortunate heavy blows!

Hisao of the Yellow Reeds |

Round 12
Hisao goes after the final gremlin. Moving with grace he adjusts to the heft of his new weapon and swings it sideways at the skull of the final little monster.
Heavy Mace: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 191d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
