I will let the PCs grow into what I've already given at this point--meaning you probably won't loot any magic items you'd be interested in keeping until after level 15. (You'll still find things like 1-use items and +1 weapons and armor no doubt, but your actual rewards for like the next 7 or 8 levels have been given in advance.) You are now entering the Land of the Enemy so to speak.... The lords and other high-level NPCs you encounter from here on will likely be in service to the Devil, Beast, and Anti-Christ, so no one will be very forthcoming with gifts or rewards from now on! Also, yes, you will be facing greater than usual challenges for your level in Italy. So there's the meta reason for "twinking" your PCs so badly! Lol!

As for the fluff reason: The Lusty Fools just rescued and restored to the throne the King of France, for Christ's sake! And saved the life of the young King of England by killing the Witch of Eye who was magically corroding His Majesty's life force away. The greatest treasures in all the treasuries of Europe would likely be given in thanks, realistically.... Especially items which will amplify the formidability of those who have sworn to vanquish the Enemies of the Princes of Europe....

I'll let everyone finish leveling up and upgrading their gear before proceeding on to Act Two of the campaign: Against the Antichrist! Act One was The Lusty Fools in the Final Days! Lol...
Act 2 will see our heroes braving the perils of Italia while managing their recent acquisitions in France through NPC henchmen and hirelings, or by their own hands, all the while searching for the Antichrist so they can slay him....
Act Three: Ascension to Armaggedon! The high-teens level PCs will have learned everything they need to know and have grown into the mighty gifts granted to them by gods and lords, and take the fight to the Enemy: The Beast and the Devil!

Here's a map of Turin, the nearest town to where the Lusty Fools currently are in the Alps.... A holding of the Duke of Savoy, Turin might ring a bell to those who have heard of the Shroud of Turin, a relic kept in this mountain town....

Alright Phew Here's my shopping list. Cribbed from Paddy extensively. Was really tempted by the ring of fire resistance but...
belt of dexterity +6 36000
Add Keen and Holy to Wazikashi 42000
Ring of Ki 10000
Headband of Ki 5400
Con Ioun Stone (pink rhomboid) 8000
celestial armor 22400
headband of cha +2 4000
Jingasa of the Fortunate Soldier 5000
light fortified darkwood buckler +2 9203
Ring of protection +1 2000
And sold my leather armor for 5 gold
And got a weapon cord for a silver
Now to update my sheet.
Dammit I have two headbands. Blah, replace head of cha +2 with cloak of resistance +2....
Don't suppose you'd allow wearing the headband of cha on the... other head?
Edit: Bah, and I have three rings now. Replace Ring of Protection +1 with necklace of natural armor +1 please.

I got them from doing the math breakdown on my PC.

Speaking of which, I'm finally all done -- money spent and feats selected. Sorry it took so long to get back to this PbP; I just entered two new PbPs and getting those new PCs up and running took all my Paizo time.
Now it's time to face rape some giants.

I had similar goings on, I also eventually decided more for the character than overall effectiveness, He will simply take... 4 weapons worth of stuff.

Happy Belated Easter and I apologize for the absences, i was not aware this game was updating. Thus I missed some stuff and I believe forgot to notice the update.

Nacht's Purchases are pretty in character for him as he isnt aware of much else.
+2 Sharding Sawtooth Sabre
+2 Wounding Sawtooth Sabre
+2 Ghost Touch Bane (Undead) Sawtooth Sabre
+2 Heartseeking Limning Sawtooth Sabre
Thats 126k (Already had a Sabre)
So thats 18k left. He'll Put Liberating on one of them and the rest goes to a Belt of Dex +4
(He would repurpose Keenstar which becomes the last Sawtooth)

This PbP is too legit to quit! Lol
The king of Aragon and the Lord Sforza were indeed fighting over the Italian city states Naples and Genoa in the 1430s, and were both hiring up all the mercenaries they could, and Duke Amadeus was Lord of Savoy and Turin at this time as well....
I am committed to historical accuracy blended with epic myth and fantasy for this campaign!

did you see someone else is doing one in this general era? it's in the recruitment forum....i might go for it...but i woukd have lofty expectations for it after this

BTW, for those of you who were players in my Post-Apocthulhu campaign, I slapped a coda on that monster and declare it finished, sans whatever posthumous posts you guys might make....

Paddy just to make sure you are aware, your shortsword attack is a little lower than it should be (At least for to hit)
Bab +5 Dex +7 Weapon +1 Weapon Focus +1 = +14 total to my knowledge.
Now when doing so IF you get sneak attack, Slayer kicks in (Immediate action or move on your turn) providing a +1 to Hit and Damage.
For a +15, now assuming you are using Pirahna Strike that is a +13 to hit. If you are critting as well do not forget about the additional 1d10 Ice Damage from Icy Burst.

So, just kind of imagining how the rest of this campaign might go....
Travel to Mt Vesuvius, gaining 8th level along the way.... Here, the PCs might take out some sub-villains and minions of the Devil/Antichrist/Conflagratius triumvirate, but overall, realize they are still out of their league with the BBEGs....
After gaining level 9 with some hit-and-run forays against the evil monsters of Mt Vesuvius, the party realizes they will need to deal with some lesser threats first to warm up for their final battle against the 3 Dark Lords of the Apocalypse....
They could become involved in the skirmishing between King Alfonzo "The Magnanimous" of Aragon and Mercenary Lord Franscesco Sforza of Milan for control of Genoa and Naples....
They could answer the call of Prince Henry "The Navigator" of Portugal for brave explorers to tame the wild coast of the Horn of Africa....
Or they could be among those brave adventurers who begin to explore the New World to the west....
| Hisao of the Yellow Reeds |
I'm thinking the Dai Oni fight will let the PCs know they're out of their league. There seems to be a time limit though before the end of the world happens and I'm not sure when that is. A short time frame would prevent the PCs from ranging far and wide.

Unless one considers the possibility of magical travel, such as teleportation circles, et cetera....

Map of Italy so you can plot a course and decide which towns to stop at along the way (or avoid)....
Currently, you are in Duchy of Savoy near the border with Duchy of Milan....
