Leira will help with any needed spell.

Leira can help with that. Let me know when the spell is not needed anymore to free the slot.

Life's still kinda kicking me in the crotch, Fridays and Mondays being the worst, but I just had a major breakthrough on my one troublesome project. Hopefully that will give me some breathing room.

all,
I need to apologize for not posting for the last while, and this bit of full disclosure will hopefully give you a feeling of where I'm at. About 4 months ago, we had an update of a critical software, that was my project, go horribly bad, and it got me put on a performance review. 90% of the time this leads to the termination of the person on it. So for the last 4 months, I've been working with my nose to the grindstone, most of the time putting in 50+ hour workweeks, which left me not doing much of anything else. Fortunately, that 4 months is up, and I find myself in the 10% that kept their job. You should see an uptick in my regularity at this point now that that pressure and stress is eliminated. The review had been lessened and put back in place a few times (more because of HR issues than my performance), which is why I'd given optimistic posts here about things lightening up, but then fell back to being irregular. The actual sign off on that PR came yesterday, with my manager actually letting me shred a paper copy of it ;).
Thanks again for the patience, I know it's been a bit of a struggle for you all as well.
Pat (Ragnir)

Thanks Pat for the update. Real world always comes first. But sometimes we do need to let things go to take care of what is truly important. If playing this game risked family, friends, or job, then the game would be history for me.
I for one would want nothing more than your success and prosperity.

Please see my response on your "Wrath of the Rightous Game." :)
But my sentiments exactly.

And this right here is one of the reasons that I sincerely don't want to leave these particular games. While we only know each other from here, and only writing, I still consider you all friends. To see your support really means a lot. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all very much.
:D

GM, are Ogres not a sub class of giant, and if so, should they not be rolling for the nailmail armour that I am wearing ??
Giant’s Nail Scale Mail
Any creature of the giant subtype who comes within 30 feet of this +2 giant’s nail scale mail must succeed at a DC 16 Will save or take a –4 penalty on attack rolls and saving throws for 1d4 rounds.
This ability functions as a gaze effect. It is a mind affecting fear effect, but it does not stack with other fear effects to create stronger fear conditions.
A giant who succeeds at the saving throw is immune to this effect for 24 hours. If a giant rolls a natural 20 on its saving throw, it becomes enraged by the sight of the armor. The giant gains the effects of the rage spell for 1d4 rounds and is compelled to attack the armor’s wearer for the duration of this effect.
Aura moderate necromancy; CL 7th Slot armor; Price 9,200 gp; Weight 30 lbs.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Yup, I never played a PC with a bane weapon before.
So it might seem a little bit of an odd question, but I figured I would put it out there.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

will need a couple of days to sort the treasure.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

going to be a day or two longer. just had a nail removed painful.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

was on the toe. one more day now and i should be good.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

@GM:
I am back at work, but with some discomfort.
I will grab the treasure info, and put it into my home spreadsheet.
I will then fire it to you to put up.
You should be seeing it within the next 2 days.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Yes, this is the most current version.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Yea, it keeps crashing on me.

Anga Runedaughter |

Sorry, combo of bad connectivity and illness has stopped my posting. Should be good now

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Ragnir, if you do not have a magic weapon yet, then the mace is yours.
If someone needs something that we just picked up, let me know either in game play or via pm.
If no one claims something, I will try to determine who will make best use of it, and then let them get it.
If no one can really use it, I will then suggest it for selling.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Well, in character, I tossed it to him, before I went out to look for Kaos.

Just some musings:
The map that the party is on was originally setup for the Leucrotta encounter. But when the party decided to investigate the Rift Drake cave, I decided to use the same map for the Rift Drake's home and the encounter with the second Rift Drake. The Luecrotta encounter was to be at night, so the opportunity to still use the map for this encounter was available when the party rested.
I have been playing D&D a long time. There was only a Monster Manual when I first started DMing. Yes, the original TSR Monster Manual. The Luecrotta is in it. This is the first time in all these years that I have actually had a Leucrotta encounter.
The Leucrotta's lure effect is interesting. Kaos PMed me about a point as to whether the second Leucrotta's affect would even work after the first. He is probably correct. But we were already well into the round. Plus, this made the encounter more of a challenge. And with it being a Supernatural Ability, I just went with it instead of Retconning a bunch of actions. I will not use the lure again. It is just attack to the death time.
By the way, after this encounter, the party will be Level 8.

Ragnir Brightaxe |

I was kind of excited about it too. I've been playing D&D since the first boxed set (paperback bound), and I think this is the first time I've ever seen the Leucrotta used. After seeing how effective it is, I'm thinking my D&D players in Loaded Dice will be seeing a few in their future :)

Leira |

Wow! Thanks for the background about the encounter Mazra.
I think it was fair altogether. When the four appeared at first I thought we were going to fall under the lure, but as the lure broke when attacked I breathed relieved. It felt fair.
Level 8, yay!!!

Anga Runedaughter |

It is a fun encounter, even if I failed the save. In fact because I failed the save. I became a bit more invested. Also, a nice wave to an old school monster. As long as it isn't a chain encounter with flumps. Or flail snails (the things wizards get up to when drunk) :D

Haskyll Stonereaver |

The lure ability just makes it a tougher challenge.
As the lure breaks on the attack, that does equalize it, and it is nice to see the old creatures come out.
I also started with the blue book.
Had all the 1st prints of ad&d, and then water break in house.
can never replace.
it also doesnt really help that i cannot seem to break the rng hate on me.

Ragnir Brightaxe |

Speaking of things D&D comes up with when drunk? Mayonnaise from the Alchemy Jug? LOL https://www.twitch.tv/videos/117770104?t=31m58s

Haskyll Stonereaver |

LOL, isn't that the truth.
Girdle of Masculinity / Femininity
This fight is odd, in the fact that the casters although are not good at it, are not afraid of getting into melee.
