In that case I think Leira would had not prepared this spell, knowing the party was going to assault a building and most probably everything would be tiled ground. If possible I think it would have more sense for her to prepare dispell magic or haste as her only 3rd level spell.
I would feel it more fair to the giant if he had his Reflex save. I think it would be enough punishment to apply the helpless condition Dex = 0 penalty. Even unattended objects normally get saves. I would be worried if one of us was at the other side otherwise :(
GM Mazra
I am OK with Leira picking another 3rd Level spell.
Good point on the helpless Frost Giant. My brain went to how does a paralyzed creature make a Reflex Save? A Will Save? Yes. A Fort Save? Yes. A Reflex Save? I don't see how it is possible.
However, I will yield to the clear rule, and give the Frost Giant a save with a -5 modifier.
Leira
@Leira - Which Frost Giant are you targeting with your Scorching Ray? Thanks.
Sorry, number 2. Sneak attack only works at 30' distance so I could not effectively attack the other one anyway.

I had to look it up. So I put it here just in case.
As a full-round action, you can use a melee weapon to deliver a coup de grace (pronounced “coo day grahs”) to a helpless opponent. You can also use a bow or crossbow, provided you are adjacent to the target.
You automatically hit and score a critical hit. If the defender survives the damage, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt) or die. A rogue also gets her extra sneak attack damage against a helpless opponent when delivering a coup de grace.
Delivering a coup de grace provokes attacks of opportunity from threatening opponents.
You can’t deliver a coup de grace against a creature that is immune to critical hits. You can deliver a coup de grace against a creature with total concealment, but doing this requires two consecutive full-round actions (one to “find” the creature once you’ve determined what square it’s in, and one to deliver the coup de grace).

I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
Hit the edit button for your post, and see if the preview, cancel and submit buttons along with the character name dropdown are missing.
I know they are for me.

Putting my Gameplay post here as the Bottom Banner is covering this box on Gameplay for me.
We will be looking at relighting the forge, so long as it is not used for forging of weapons for giants to be killing us. But we will be looking to relight the forge.
Haskyll pauses.
But we will be looking to save those people first, so please let us know where we might be finding giants in this cathedral and the routes we might be taking to dispersing this building army.
He then heads over to the stairs so they can move along.
Haskyll Stonereaver
Still with a loss of functionality due to the floating bottom banner.
It is blocking me from making edits, blocking me from reading posts, and sometimes blocking me from being able to type in the box.
I have made a note of it on the website feedback page, but things are slow.

@Leira - I gave your token a bit of transparency to denote your being in a Vanish state. As a note, this ability was not working for a while in Google Drawings, but has been fixed.
And to everyone, Haskyll may have periods where he cannot post for a few days in a row. I will wait for him. He has always been a great player. His actions are often integral to the events and encounters. Thanks.
Leira
Wow!!! Those combats are becoming massive and epic!
Leira
Hi! Are we all waiting for the dispel result and Mazra waiting for the rest of us to spell their rounds?
Everybody waiting each other sometimes happens in PbP :P

Was there a price given for the boulder bag ?
Trying to get the treasure sheet caught up.
Haskyll Stonereaver
Thank you.
Will get it finished by tonight.

Just some general musings. I do not plan to replace Ragnir. I believe the party is plenty strong enough to handle the adventures going forward.
This was the first time I had a chance to play a Warpriest. It is an interesting class. I still think I prefer the Cleric, though the Oracle is growing on me. Obviously, Droja isn't going any where. She has been a fun NPC to play.
I look forward to seeing your Ninth Level advancement rolls in this thread. When everyone has raised level I will move on with the adventure.
Leira
Yes, I also think as long as Droja stays around we are probably good enough. I do agree she has been an interesting character to play with, all that thing of Speaking with the dead giants, the summons, paralysis and her half-orc nature... :)

Hey guys I was checking on Holy Smite. It would be easy enough to move over but it is a 20ft radius burst. I believe that is bigger then what was marked.
School evocation [good]; Level cleric/oracle 4, inquisitor 4; Domain glory 4, good 4
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area 20-ft.-radius burst
Duration instantaneous (1 round); see text
Saving Throw Will partial; see text; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
You draw down holy power to smite your enemies. Only evil and neutral creatures are harmed by the spell; good creatures are unaffected.
The spell deals 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8) to each evil creature in the area (or 1d6 points of damage per caster level, maximum 10d6, to an evil outsider) and causes it to become blinded for 1 round. A successful Will saving throw reduces damage to half and negates the blinded effect.
The spell deals only half damage to creatures who are neither good nor evil, and they are not blinded. Such a creature can reduce that damage by half (down to one-quarter of the roll) with a successful Will save.

The rest of the week will be fairly complicated for me for what posting concerns.
Please bot Leira as it better fits. Unless something else is needed that she can deliver, she will mainly behave as you have seen so far, shooting arrows and searching for traps around. If in danger, she will use dimensional glide and spider climb to teleport to the ceiling, out of reach.
Things should come back to normal by next week.
GM Mazra
@Brandark - That Spiked Stones is a nasty spell. I haven't seen that one before. According to the area, it is a 20-ft square per level. That is an area actually four times what you have indicated. Your diamonds are in a 10 x 10. The spell covers a 20 x 20. I don't have the Mythic Adventures book. I don't think anything in this AP uses this book. I did not make any restrictions in this AP. However, the spell seems a tad overpowered for fourth level mainly due to the damage, plus area of effect, plus lingering potential effects. I would have designated it at fifth level. But, I will honor it.
Leira
The area is a bit silly, to be fair, but the effect is not that impressive. They have to be pretty far away and within a packed corridor, for the shortening of movement and damage to be meaningful.
I have similar issues with spells like sleet storm. Your melees often want to engage anyway, and a good placement of the spell just ruins their tactics.
Haskyll Stonereaver
The intent was to slow them down, not stop them.
I would expand the squares into the bad guys and not into us.
Honestly, though, I would have put the AOE as 10' squares, not 20' as written.
Let me rethink placement, but look at expansion into the bad guys.
Where it came from was Ultimate Magic, and not mythic.
Haskyll Stonereaver
Oops to late to edit, but it was from the core rule book. :(
but my thoughts were the same, a smaller AOE, but ultimately the same intent.
To slow them down and allow us time to react to them.
