It's timey-wimey enough in the exact order of events that I can see Bronwyn excusing herself if Alexis seems to be in a good place and essentially bumping into Shayera during her own eavesdropping, but she very much wouldn't leave her friend and teammate in the middle of what could be an existential crisis.

As you can see, Alexis has his own ideas on orientation and gender identity. Comes with having a mutable gender and growing up in a military environment where there weren't gender roles or prejudices. It's both backwards and progressive at the same time.
And all through her own very highschool perspective lol.
Also, I know that Alexis's current face isn't the same as his old ones, but I was kind of picturing that he looks like he could be like a cousin of his previous body. Is the resemblance more dissimilar?
Haven't really found an avatar I like for male Mercy, but yeah. When Mercy is resurrected, they come back looking different, but similar. The hair and eyes are usually the same, as is the skin, but the gender and bone structure changes enough that each time they come back, they don't look like the same person, but someone who could be a sibling or cousin.
I still need to know what the timeline is going to be for downtime/finding out about the gala/when the gala is. It affects when I have other stuff happen.
@Wingblade: Not sure if you were planning on actually writing a report, but I have NPC(s?) that will probably read it, so it'd be good to at least get a high-level idea of what is or is not included in it.
I've got a whole post planned, which should give you an idea of what's in it (and what's not). Once that's posted, you can ask me specific questions about what's in and what's not.

Hey Shadow, not sure if you saw in the post that Bronwyn was going to ask Alexandra to put up Alexis and Shaun for the night. Is she going to try to avoid doing so? 'Cause Bronwyn would definitely flag her down unless she was specifically being Shadow-level stealthy as she departed. (I will tell you for free that if you're looking for a leverage point, this is one)

I'm planning on an "AHHHH I slept over!" transition into the Friday school day, but I wanted to see if anyone had a scene they wanted to get in with Bron then. I figure Alexis is probably waiting til after school or maybe the weekend for example, but Bron very much wants to talk to Cassie about her recent revelation about Gae-Dearg (which sadly might have to be something she stews over for now instead), if Shayera mentions anything about Duncan, then she's going to do her best Silver Shadow impression and corner Shaun to talk about the Black Dog and his family secrets, she'll probably seek out Kaoru to make sure he's doing okay since this was a pretty rough first mission... She might get cornered by Alexandra :-p
I'll want to fit some Mary-Beth scene(s) in at some point too, but wanted to see if anyone had any Friday excitement to get into :-)

Other than that, I don't have any set plans until Thursday.

I was actually thinking that Shaun might send Bronwyn a text tonight asking for a meet-up at the junkyard forge. He's gonna need to vent after this "talk" with Stephen . As for everybody else, there's a meet-up with Cassie to do the charm which we could expand on. Kaoru still has the first-aid sporran (correct?), and depending on how Duncan-gate is handled he might find Wingblade and apologize for lying. Otherwise, I'm flexible and willing to hear some ideas. I've been keeping track as best I can with the actual 2019 calendar, and if I've gotten all the numbers right, this upcoming Sunday would be the 24th of March. I definitely have something planned for that, but I leave it up to all of you to do/not do something relating to that. And I don't necessarily mean trying to celebrate with him. The horrible holiday is a trope after all. ;)
Things for Alexis to do during downtime:
1. Inadvertently create more sexual tension between himself and Cassie.
2. Meet Kaoru and ask for help with getting a few decent outfits for himself, taking time to adjust to Alexis' new form.
3. Inadvertently create sexual tension between himself and Shaun, probably during training of some kind.
4. Spend time with Alexandra's family, getting to know them and being a nuisance for the Detective by being so damn friendly with her mom.
5. Have a more in depth talk with Bronwyn about sexual identity, perhaps even be introduced to one of her trans friends?
6. Make Shayera uncomfortable with him in her apartment, mostly by spending lots of his time in only gym shorts unless going out.
Things that can happen to the others without Alexis around:
1. Meeting a mystery stranger alone in a park, food joint or gym.
2. Finding someone posting up flyers for an event around school.
3. Getting a mysterious call/e-mail/text with a time and a place.
4. Having an altercation with another student who just plain doesn't like them.
5. Opening their locker in school and finding a mystery item inside.
6. Be around when a low level super threat appears to cause havoc!
If anyone's interested in a quick downtime scene like those provided, you can just pick one and I'll run some NPCs for that. Or if you want to be daring, you can roll 1d6 and go with the scene you roll.

Typically Bronwyn would definitely run after Alexis if he was that visibly distraught, and she definitely has things to say in response - would you prefer for her to lose him and postpone that conversation for now?
Technically, Alexis couldn't stop her from pursuing, though he's running away from the school at the moment. I'd prefer to pick up the conversation later with him if possible.
Though, as Cassie isn't involved in anything at the moment, I wouldn't mind her coming across Alexis for a scene - possibly ditching school to keep him company in his time of need?

The other angle that I've been working, in getting Kaoru to show Alexis what its like being a normal teenaged guy, is where I'm attempting to drive some more interactions between them. That and the fact that Kaoru's going to be pretty shocked meeting Alexis again as a boy.

Bronwyn's planning to get there before him so she can set up without having to pretend she has to struggle to move some of the things around. I don't think with her expectation that Shaun might show up early combined with her peak senses, that he'd totally catch her with her pants down (so to speak), but there's probably a middle ground.
Or he could surprise her and show up on time :-p

Well, he hasn't really talked to anybody other than Bronwyn about the fact that he even has a brother, but I think it's clear from his interaction with Stephen that he does at least have strong feeling about Duncan. So, maybe don't "bring him into the investigation," but maybe "bring him in for questioning?"
But "has strong feelings about" is verrryyyy different from "knows anything useful about." If there aren't any records of Duncan visiting even after we uncover his alias, the more likely explanation is that Shaun's feelings are based on what his father has told him about Duncan, making it make much more sense to go straight to Shaun's dad to ask about Duncan.
I mean, Kaoru will follow Alexandra's lead, so if she really wants to talk to Shaun, she'll go along with it. But you can't really be surprised that Kaoru doesn't want to share what she knows with someone she hates when you've given her absolutely no reason to think she would gain anything from it.
Fair enough, and I'm not necessarily expecting you to. Frankly, I have the mystery set up, but I have no set path for how y'all figure it out. If you don't wanna grill Shaun, then don't. The questions he could answer can be answered in other ways. Don't feel like you have to do something for the sake of moving the plot forward.

It was during Shaun and Bronwyn's heart-to-heart right after the Cu Sith appeared. During his explanation of the nightmares, he mentioned that "his brother left." I would link to it, but frankly I have no clue how to link to specific posts. (Also, you can SEARCH these things!?)

You can grab the link to a specific post from the time stamp on it, and then much like using {b} and {/b} to bold things, you can do the same with {url=[the address]}[the text you would like the link to be attached to]{/url} in order to show the post about his brother like this!
As for searching, you can search a specific thread, or just pull up the posts of a given alias and search those. It's a pretty crappy search function, and I haven't figured out what specific things give it problems, but it's at least a good starting point if there's something you're trying to find.
For example, it turns out if I just had searched 'brother' in THE KILT's posts I would've found it lol. Definitely out thought myself there :-p

I already have an idea for an escape room. Unless you had some other idea for it, I figured it'd just be something like
- Meet up before escape room with Kaoru's initial reaction to Alexis
- Conveniently timed "we can't actually talk about this because it's escape room time"/intro escape room post
- Other people's (if there are other people. Or I guess just Alexis') general description of what they're doing in the escape room/reaction to the escape room
- Conclusion/Finishing the escape room with time right after for Kaoru to be cornered for forced conversations
Which is to say, I wasn't planning on the escape room by itself being a particularly big/long scene since I'm not sure how into puzzles other people are. Though that being said, if anybody actually wants some puzzles to solve, I can make up blatently rip off a few puzzles I've done in the past.
I like puzzles, but they don't need to be overly elaborate for the scene. Just enough so that everyone can have a chance to solve a part I think.
Oh, I don't want to get this message during the forging scene, but Bronwyn's going to opt out with a vague excuse about busyness to cover not being able to spare the $30
