I totally agree with your point about losing either Jessibel or Davina, so I guess my answer (sort of) would be that I'd prefer to be a player rather than the GM. To honestly answer your question about wanting to GM "Hell's Rebels"...well, Yes...at some point but likely with some other group.

I can't recall the last time I played a character with so many irons in the fire, so to speak: Kintargo Opera House Society stuff, Aulamaxa noble family duties, being respectable, being scandalous, bard stuff, the choice of vigilante or rogue (charlatan) for multiclassing once the Opera House boons kick in, etc. I'd love to be able to keep playing this character; Jessibel's a hoot.

I agree, I would prefer, regardless of the character I am playing at the time, for all of us to be PCs for the long haul. That being said finding GMs to take over a game can be difficult.

I love playing Davina she's a lot of fun. I'd hate to see this group end for a lack of GM, but as Kiri said finding a replacement GM can be difficult. The few times I've seen it happen the group takes the first one that says yes, and the new GM disappear within a few weeks.

One option would be for Jess and I to take turns GMing. Jess could finish up book one, and I could do book two, etc. The PC could pop in from time to time or just follow along, and not make major decisions. Probably not the best option but an idea.

I've had ok luck with replacement gms, most of the time things fizzle out though. This is a campaign I very much want to play all the way through and as the other game of it I'm in is only going through book 4 (and nearly to the end of 3) I must get my fix in.

Taking turns might work, but it would still kill the dynamic without both there. I suppose that whoever was running could keep running their PC as well, though I know a lot of people don't like to do that.

I just want to say thank you for GMing! I've run tabletop games and a pbp, and I know they are a lot of work and a big time commitment! I appreciate all the effort Jessi is putting in to keep this going!

That being said, I totally agree with Dom's question about wanting to GM. I hope no one feels obligated to run the game. I'm having a great time, but definitely don't have time to GM, I barely have a chance to post every day!

I did a bit of research on the previous game's Gameplay thread: HERE is the post where Lucius was brought back to the Nest bearing his injuries. Jessibel came up with a likely type of culprit for the attack, if you read a few posts onward.

I'll leave it to you guys to decide if you'd like to post some sort of recap for T'chazzar's benefit or if he'd just like to read it himself and we can assume someone filled him in about the incident.

On the matter of our spiffy new cold iron armaments, standard quality or masterwork? (I'm assuming the former.)

I'm actually stuck trying to decide what type of weapon I'd take for Domitius. I've already got a falcata and a morningstar (which I've been assuming is not currently on Dom's person, but probably tucked away among the gardening tools at Eradon Manor). After that, my impulse is to stick with lighter weapons. I was thinking a kukri. Anyone got any other bright ideas for something not too big?

For my cold iron weapon, I decided on a gladius. It's a light weapon, it does two damage types, it's pretty much everything I want a backup weapon to be.

On a sort of unrelated note. I was watching an Episode of Forged in Fire yesterday, and they had to make a falcata. The winner's falcata was gorgeous. I find the show interesting. It's cool to see the different weapons in "person" so to speak.

Davina will take a cold iron rapier and some of the bolts. Dom is probably going to have to carry most of her stuff. The mighty 10 strength strikes again.

Y'know, when I was a teenager, I used to caddy at the golf course by my house, and Dom is starting to flashback to that. :)

Hold on, that's a thing? I thought armor/weapons had to be made MW at their creation.

Of course, as I said earlier, I also used to think "sword in the freezer = cold iron", so yes, I certainly might be wrong. :)

This is what I get for not having much interest in spellcasting. :)

RAW it doesn't seem to be an issue, but do you think MWing a cold iron weapon that way should be more costly/require more effort? I'm not saying the whole +2k increase it takes to enchant a CI weapon, but something.

Did some more digging.... Here are GM Paladin's Crafting House Rules:

Crafting: Mundane crafting happens at 10x normal speed, using your craft result as the gp worth of crafting rather than the sp worth. You can raise the DC of a crafting check, for either mundane or magical items, as high as you want in increments of 5 in order to speed up crafting. As an alternative, anyone who wants to skip crafting entirely can swap out any crafting feat they receive from their class for a feat like PFS does it: Alchemists can get Extra bombs instead of brew potion, Wizards can get Spell Focus instead of Scribe Scroll.

Quick Update: The good news is that the computer part of my laptop is still working; the bad news is that its display is black and unresponsive. Long story short, I need to bring a blank USB flash drive to the library tomorrow to download new drivers that MIGHT help. The bad news is that my tablet doesn't have a USB port and all my game files are either on that flash drive or in my laptop's downloads. So while I can post updates for games I play in, I really can't run the 2 I'm GMing without my notes and pdfs. Hopefully, the display will get fixed tomorrow. If not, I'll update you via my tablet and maybe start shopping for a new laptop.

Couldn't fix the laptop all day yesterday but had one more possible fix I could try from home. Turned it on this morning to try that fix and the laptop was working normally again.
