Leora grew up in Kintargo's Red Roof slums with her mother Riann and her brother Vinnic. When she was six, the Order of the Rack stormed into her neighborhood under the pretense of arresting Nidalese spies.During the ensuing riot, Leora was separated from her family and her home, tiny though it was, was burned to the ground. Later, rumors spread that the Hellknights were after a cache of books on Kintargo's history. This sparked Leora's initial mistrust of government. No matter which reason was actually true, the Hellknights burned down a section of the city and killed dozens to capture a few spies or to burn old books. Some time after the riot, Leora was taken in by Carlo Priore, proprietor of the Lucky Goat Tavern. Carlo raised Leora, but more importantly, he told her stories of Cayden Cailean's bravery and love of freedom, ideals that had already begun growing in her heart that she'd never put into words. As Leora grew older, Carlo began teaching her simple spells and prayers to worship Cayden, and the importance of keeping them a secret. She also picked up beer brewing and little bits of alchemy, from Rene, the brewer who provided the ale and wine for the Lucky Goat. Leora takes joy in simple things in life. When she's not working at the Lucky Goat, she's probably playing a friendly game of darts or cards, listening to a singer or storyteller in the market square, or sharing a drink and meal with her friends. One of Cayden's most well-known phrases explains her personal philosophy: "Don't let rules get in the way of enjoying what is truly good in life." When she first heard rumors of Jilia Bainilus's libertarian spirit, she knew she must meet the mayor, to get to know someone with a similar philosophy to her own. Yet once Thrune arrived in Kintargo, the mayor vanished. Leora is growing more and more concerned for the ex-mayor's safety and horrified with the new mayor's absurd new laws. Her desire to meet Jilia has grown into an obsession to find anyone who shares her ideals of freedom and wants to do something about the current state of Kintargo. Yet she feels forced to dampen her passion as not to attract attention. Description

disguising spells as alchemy:
Make a skill check (DC 10 + twice the level of the spell) to disguise his casting and successfully cast the spell. Using Spellcraft to identify the spell works normally, though unless the observer beats the DC by 10 or more, she doesn’t suspect the source of the magic is divine. peppermint = bless eye of cat = cat's grace |
