Quzman wishes to see the reclaimed temple rededicated to Sarenrae, and have the bodies of his companions buried out by the monastery interred in the graveyard here. Outside of that, he would begin his wanderings and patrol the area around Kelmarane to make it safe for travelers to the new town.

Bahiyy has Craft Wondrous, but crafting takes only a day or so. Depends also on his personal funds he has available, and level. But will also craft for the group, no problems.

Main thing he will do is build a shrine to Abadar. And then try to attract followers. For him this is the most sensible thing to do. Probably also merchants will come to Kelmarane they will like to have a shrine to Abadar. And he will try to increase the funds of his shrine and keep them to turn the shrine into a small church later.

If he has spare time, he will visit Undrella (trying at least once a week). Maybe he can change her even a bit and get her integrated. With the intention, that she will be a wellcome member of the city.

And he will catch up with Haleen. There are debts to repay, so, he will contribute towards this.

Don't know if everything works, but those ideas were running through my head. The shrine will be priority, and I hope the other two will fit around it as 'side-work'.

Congrats to everyone! Can't believe we made it through the whole book. That is awesome.

DM, I think I will make some APG tweaks to Ty. That archer fighter seems fit for Ty. He will also probably help with hunting/patrolling in the area.


Team, what do we want to do with the Amulet of Mighty Fists, the Ring of Protection +2 and the Elemental Gem? Does anyone want a magic item made for them? We can do Cloaks of Resistance +1 and Pearls of Power (1st level). If we are okay to do custom items, we could do something with Endure Elements as an ongoing effect.

Dumah will use cantrips like Mending and Presdigitation to help with clean up efforts. If he can get new spells like Unseen Servant, he’ll use those as well.

The focus of Dumah’s time will be in research. He is interested in new spells, history, alchemy and lore on other planes and their denizens. After his lingering brush with death from demon fever, he wants to be as prepared as possible for any future encounters. He wants to know more about the local history including anything that may lead to a windfall; he is concerned about Haleen’s debt and knows that just setting up a local business won’t be able to address it. He won’t patrol regularly, but if scouts identify a threat he’ll be quick to volunteer to address it.

If he can, Dumah would like to acquire some spells via scrolls that he can add to his spellbook. If there are any other wizards in town, he’ll approach them about trading spells. If he can get Continual Flame added to his spellbook, he will offer to cast it at cost for the town to light streets, equip the town guard, put on arrows to launch toward forces attacking at night, etc.

He may want to enchant a magic item or two during this time, perhaps scribe some scrolls.

He would also try to get a couple items that aren’t in the basic book. A pocketed scarf is 8gp and weighs ½ pound. It is basically a decorative scarf with hidden pockets that he would wear when he doesn’t feel like lugging around his full spell component pouch. Also, he’d like a signet ring (5gp) that is false jewelry (20gp). In the secret compartment of the ring, he would mount a pearl (5gp) that has Continual Flame cast on it (50gp if he casts himself) with some sealing wax to keep it airtight. Then whenever he needs light greater than his cantrip, he can flip the ring open. That would be a total of 80gp for the ring. A waterproof bag for his spellbook (5sp, ½ pound).

Eli would available himself to help with the towns clean up anyway he could. It is very important to make sure that April and her father are established and taken care of. Also I would want to make a short trip back to Solku where we meet the family of the missing merchants. Eli had promised to return thier belongis to the family, he had asked Brebork to finish this but since Brebork is gone I assume he didn't have time to go there and complete the task. Eli would go to them and return thier wares so that the family could have peace of mind and have the material goods continue to make a living. While in Solku I would also like to sell all the none magical gear that the Sand Stalkers have aquired. Upon returning to Kelermane I think Eli would want to start up a tavern. A place where tales are told amnongst friends over a tall tankard of ale or a glass of spiced wine. If the group dosnt mind I'd would like to split the shares of the non magical treasure in 7 ways. One for each of us, one to the group fund, and one to be donated to the Church of Sarenrae in Breborks honor while I am in Solku.

As the non frontline fighter who ends up fighting on the front line alot I would like to ask for the +2 ring to be given to Eli. Then someone else could have the +1 ring he already has on. I'm not sure who could benifit from the Amulet best, if no one then I could take it to Solku and sell it with all the non magical gear. I am under the impression the the Elemental Gem was a gift from the divine to Quzman.

As for creating magical Items, if there is something that Dumah could make to help increase Eli's strength that would be very helpful. Once we know how much more coin we each have from the trade of the non magical gear then we can see what we can afford to have made.

DM, how much more XP do we get for defeating Xulthos?


I’m fine going along with Eli getting the Ring of Protection +2. Also good with the seven way division of wealth brought it.

Dumah is currently carrying the Ring of Swimming that we picked up. I would suggest that we add that to sell list. He also has a +1 dagger that I’m not sure that he needs. Dumah will keep the Cloak of Resistance, Ring of the Ram and Rust Bag of Tricks, as well as the Wand of Bulls Strength and Potion of Mage Armor (unless Eli wants the potion).

We should also add a few coins to whatever credit we have remaining with the potion maker and use it up buying curative potions to split amongst the team. We don’t know where our future ventures will take us, and we don’t want to lose out if we end up far away.

If we end up leveling up to 5, then Bahiyy and/or Dumah may end up with more creation feats that would give us more options.


Could you list all the items you wish to sell in one post? Also, if you have not done so, you should divide the gold. Remember, you each got 500 gp from Almah. As for the xp, I will calculate it tonight.


Yeah, if we end up making more money from sales, it would certainly open up the options for what Bahiyy and Dumah could manufacture. Bahiyy could actually make items to enhance strength, constitution, charisma and wisdom. To boost intelligence or dexterity, Dumah would have to learn the appropriate spells.


Ty could use Eli's old +1 ring, but I am sure others could as well. Ty already has a +1 cloak.

The amulet should be sold, as that is really valuable and we can put that in the crafting fund.

Also, DM, I need a day or two to get the APG changes made. It's been a crazy week.


Is there someone who can use the +1 dagger that Dumah currently possesses? If not, I suggest we sell it for our growing fund. If combat gets to the level that the wizard is resorting to a dagger, I seriously doubt a +1 to hit and +1 damage for him will tip the scales.

For now I am willing to let one of the others take the extra ring of protection. Dumah's bonded object is a ring, and in a few more levels he can start enchanting it. In the meantime, he'll try to get the Shield spell and perhaps an item to enhance dexterity to bump up his AC.


I am thinking out loud here, but should we sell the magic splintmail that Ty is using right now? It's heavy armor, which is going to cost someone an endure elements spell every day, and he could get the same benefit from a cheap suit of hide armor, counting dexterity bonuses. Financially, doesn't seem to make sense to keep it.


Quzman is fine with the sale of the amulet and if Ty wants to give up the splint mail that's fine too. With his Dex, it's definitely slowing you down. (I'd suggest a breastplate or chain shirt (which I believe we have some of these) instead of hide though =p)

The elemental gem (assuming he can use it) would hold some personal value to Quzman as he does think of it as a blessing from Sarenrae as Eli suggested.

I could use the +1 ring, but I already have the natural armor and 2 magic weapons (plus the gem), so I think it should go to one of the other members first.

Also, Quzman would be glad to guide Eli back to Solku to return the items of the slain merchants to their family.


Looking at the chart, a regular breastplate (and Dex bonus) would give Ty a better AC (by one point) than the magical splint.

Therefore, I say we chuck the magical splint into the "to be sold" pile. If we have any breastplates on hand, Ty will grab one of those. I am going to make the change in my sheet now.

MD, make sure you include that in the final list. It was regular +1 Splint Mail. Should return us a pretty penny to pay Bahiyy to start crafting for us!


Also, I think Quzman needs one of the rings, as he needs all the defensive stuff we can put on him. I didn't realize he didn't have one. Eli is the same, he needs all the AC stuff we can throw on him, too.

The two front liners need to be standing up keeping them off the rest of us as long as possible.


Well, everyone gets 3400 xp (everyone should have 10,650), so goodbye 4th level and hello 5th! Congrats! Everyone gets a feat! Quzman, don't forget to level up Ky as well! You know the routine....

Lucendar, is the minimum half hit points per level rounded up or down?

Is there a hue and cry for Craft Magic Arms and Armor now at level 5, or is everyone content with what they have until Dumah gets another feat? We might have enough cash to +1 armor everyone.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I probably will take CMA&A. For 2000 gp, I could elevate the AC of the rest of the party. For another 1000, I could raise the AC for Eli and Bahiyy another point if they want a shield or a buckler.

Actually, the Caster Level for a magic item isn't a minimum to create it.

From the PRD:
Caster Level (CL): The next item in a notational entry gives the caster level of the item, indicating its relative power. The caster level determines the item's saving throw bonus, as well as range or other level-dependent aspects of the powers of the item (if variable). It also determines the level that must be contended with should the item come under the effect of a dispel magic spell or similar situation.

And:
The DC to create a magic item is 5 + the caster level for the item. Failing this check means that the item does not function and the materials and time are wasted.

If there is a level requirement, it is explicitely mentioned in the last line of the item's description.

Ignan may be a better choice. As to the hp question, the minimum is 1/2 die roll so 3,4, 5, or 6. You don't have to round up or down, the die is even.

Instead of selling the arrows I think we should keep them as group treasure and that way we wont need to buy them again later. I will include them in the group fund and if a charter need to refill a quiver let me know how many you take and I will adjust the master count.

Eli will start waring the +2 Ring of Protection so that leaves a +1 ring available. Ty can the Cloak and Ring Stack? If not do you still want the ring +1 if not who else can benifit from it?


The cloak and ring can stack, but I think Quzman needs it more than Ty. Any AC boosters should go to Eli and Quzman right now, I think.

I think that is a great idea, and it helps with the combat for the whole team.

As expensive as the natural fists amulet is, I think we have to sell it, to be honest. We can recover a bounty for that thing.

I would be inclined to hold onto the bag of tricks for another level or two. With none of us being big on summoning, I like having that possibility right now. But, I am not entrenched in that position. If everyone wants to sell it, I am fine with that, too.

Good point though dont forget the cost of the masterwork armor to enchant. Its a good plan though to trade the attack bonus of the animal companion for +1 armors for five of us. Though are we getting to a level where +1 armor is worth enough? I just mean we are going up against tougher things now and Im not sure a +1 bonus for all five of us is as good a deal as getting Quzman a +2 or even a +3.

It might be worth selling the bad of tricks too since the summoned creatures if used in combat are more than likely going to be killed in one or two rounds. Of course thats one or two attacks that are not directed at us and with and extra combatant we get more flanking opportunites.

Id like to add that the tavern would of course have a gambling room, got to keep my skills up and what better way to make Eli some money.

Thats gives each player another 190 gold coins. Then 190 gold coins are to be donated to Breborks church. Then 195 gold and 5 silver coins are added to the party fund. I will update the group fund be sure to add your characters individual gold.

Just to confirm, yes Eli's old Ring of Protection +1 goes to Quzman. Since he's our front line fighter, we need to boost his AC as high as we can. If he has an extra 500gp, Dumah can enchant his MW breastplate to add another point to his AC.

And I believe we decided to sell the Amulet of Might Fists and keep the Bag of Tricks, at least for another level or two.

And I agree with MD that we should use up our credit with the potion brewer on potions of Invisibility and CMW.


Quzman would gladly pay the 500 gold to enchant his breastplate. Every little bit will help in the long run I'm sure. Thanks!
