Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

The Guidance of Faith blessing requires little more than three kisses and a short undemanding ceremony, but the opportunistic high priestess of Clandestine takes full advantage of what is required of her, drawing out the ceremony for her personal gain. The current creed of Ayianna’s faithful is far different today from when the scepter was originally created. Once blessed, the scepter gains a +1 enchantment bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Further, the scepter acquires the ability to cast bless 3 times per day.
Once the necromancers are dealt with, Reneth gladly bestows her kisses on the Scepter of Faiths. She also tells PCs she has “put out contacts” on the scepter, and offers to share her information if PCs can meet a 500 gp “information finder’s fee.”

Cyric attempts to barter her down, or bestow the information out of the kindness of her heart.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29

Sorry, DM, your Saturday post didn't show up on my queue.

Hagrym felt the magical heft of the scepter. "It feels more powerful alright! Talk about bashing some bad guys! If no one objects, I'll keep using the scepter, and someone else can use this magical bastard sword we picked up."

Hagrym is offering up the +1 bastard sword to be used or sold, whatever the group prefers.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Good luck with that. They are chaotic greedy.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

"I'm okay with Hagrym having the sceptre. I'm happy with the weapons I have. But after the time we spent traipsing around in the sewers, I could use a jolly nice wash!"

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

So are you paying for the info

Male Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 4 / Cleric (Devoted Pilgrim) 1; HP 32/32, Init +0, Perception +12, AC 18/FF 18/T 10; Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +9; CMB +3, CMD 13; Luck 6/6, Channel 8/8, Doorsight 6/6

I am not the coffers man but I say yes.

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

Sure. Just a note, I'm fighting a terrible case of food poisoning/stomach flu. It might be a few days before I'm back posting normally.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Paying for the info sounds good to me.

Male Half-elf Protean Sorcerer 4 | HP: 21/21 | AC: 13 (17) Tch: 13 FF: 10 | CMD: 14 | Fort:: +2 Ref: +4 Will +6 | Init: +5 | Perception: +5

We also need to seek out someone who can identify the magic items that remain unknown to us.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Reneth has uncovered that the next step in blessing the scepter requires anointing it with the holy oil of Iseleine at the Hanging Gardens, and offers a map that will guide PCs to the temple in the Kajaani Forest (for an additional 100 gp, of course).

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

"Just so long as it doesn't involve swimming in swamps or sewers."
"Again."
"That's getting a bit tiresome!"

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

"Holy oil at the Hanging Gardens? That sounds right lovely compared to those sewers! I'm ready to head out when the rest of you lot are!"

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

"I'm ready."

Assuming we've had the time for nice wash.

Laying his weapon over his shoulder Ulfgard smiles..."Ready..."

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

You will need to lay in some supplies as it is 400 miles to the hanging gardens and at 16 miles a day....

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

We should probably get a pack animal or two to carry the supplies.
Just a couple of donkeys?
Or a small cart drawn by a donkey or horse?

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

Is the path good enough for a cart with the donkeys?

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

It is a road, so a wagon can be used. Not a good road mind you, but a road.

Male Half-elf Protean Sorcerer 4 | HP: 21/21 | AC: 13 (17) Tch: 13 FF: 10 | CMD: 14 | Fort:: +2 Ref: +4 Will +6 | Init: +5 | Perception: +5

While the group is securing the supplies for the long journey, Galerio will see to getting the remaining magic items identified, perhaps with Turvs help. Then we can decide on what to keep or sell.

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

"For a trip this long, I think a cart to carry our supplies would be the best move for us. We should have plenty of gold to afford it after we sell our recent gains."

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

@ Galerio: do you mean finding black market help to identify and/or sell the times?

I was thinking more along the lines of having some protection, another pair of eyes, etc..Not sure if we will need any black market.

That was just way too obvious for the little light bulb to go on!

Anyway, no problem, I can be the bodyguard sort of thing.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

It says gardens this time.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Ok, buy whatever you are going to and make your spellcraft rolls please.

Moving to the market the ranger looks around for vendors selling what is needed and buyers for what loot was aquired!

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

Did anyone keep an actual list of loot gained?

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Not I.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

If you look in Roll20 there is a lot of stuff on the party mule.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

I never thought to look there. Cool!

After doing some shopping, Can be done in discussion thread
Ulfgard urges the others to get going. Daylight is wasted!

After completing the shopping, Hagrym was also ready to go. It was time to get on with it to the hanging gardens.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

It will be around a 500 mile trip so be prepared!

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

As I stated earlier before our break, we need to buy a cart and at least one mule, I'd think. We need everyone to check in to say what they want or I'm just going to sell everything not yet claimed, and just tell everyone how much gold they are owed.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Sounds good to me. There wasn't really anything in the loot list that was much use to me on the face of it.

Male Dwarf

HP53/57, In+1 Perc +9 F+6 R+5 W+3 AC19 FF18 T11 Darkvision, 20 ft

Amen.Or maybe 3 pack donkeys. Some paths are bad for carts. And there should be towns, hamlets, where we can replenish our food

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

Good point. Do we know if there are hamlets to resupply along the way?

Male Dwarf

Ulfgard suggests to buy a map. Or two.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Maybe also consult with anyone who knows that area better than most?
Someone like that might have useful information not found on a map.

Naomi, after spending a day cleaning up, joins the boys after they do a little shopping. "Hey boys, did you have fun shopping?" Seeing that they still have some items from the sewers she asks "Can I see the rod, lens, bronze skull and the longswords and armor from the elves?" She then casts detect magic on the nine items and then tries to identify the rod, lens and skull.

she has detect magic as a cantrip so she can cast it all day long right? then just use spellcraft to identify?

spellcraft: rod: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
spellcraft: lens: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
spellcraft: skull: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

can she try again or is failing once final?

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

One try per item per day per person.

Male Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 4 / Cleric (Devoted Pilgrim) 1; HP 32/32, Init +0, Perception +12, AC 18/FF 18/T 10; Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +9; CMB +3, CMD 13; Luck 6/6, Channel 8/8, Doorsight 6/6

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Lens of Detection

Male Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 4 / Cleric (Devoted Pilgrim) 1; HP 32/32, Init +0, Perception +12, AC 18/FF 18/T 10; Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +9; CMB +3, CMD 13; Luck 6/6, Channel 8/8, Doorsight 6/6

"Naomi this is a lens of detection. I am sure it will come in handy for us."

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

Ooo, that lens would be really handy for Turv for Perception purposes. If we head out in the wilderness, Ulfie could use it for the Survival bonuses.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Agreed!

After purchasing a few supplies and selecting a wagon that she will pick up in the morning, Naomi returns to the inn that they had stayed at. Spending a quite night enjoying a meal not prepared on the road or eaten out of her pack, she goes to bed.

Getting up very early she attempts to identify the rod, then packing up all her gear and grabbing a couple of biscuits, she settles up with the innkeeper and fetching her mule she goes and picks up the wagon she selected.

Returning to the inn with the wagon she parks it in front of the inn and enters the dinning area to see if the boys are ready to go.

"Good morning boys, grab your gear and throw it in the wagon, it's time to head for the Hanging Gardens!"

spellcraft: rod: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

@ brvheart: what is the charge for the inn?
@Party, who has the map? Also, toss whatever gear you want in to the wagon, it can carry 4,000 lbs.

Male Half-Elf Rogue (inactive)

Turvijagal shows up with a large packet of hear for Naomi's wagon

"Morning all!"
"I bought us a couple of tents so we can sleep in luxury on the road."
"As well as some other useful gear."

He then starts packing the lot on the cart.

I figure all the extra gear I bought in town, in Discussion, should be about 195 lb in weight.
My deluxe dungeoneering kit in the waterproof bag weighs another 26 lb.
And my own usual personal gear weighs 58 lbs (weapons, armour, backpack and contents).
So all my gear won't take up much of the weight there.

M Dwarf Cleric (Warpriest) of Torag 2/Medic | LG | HP: 32/32 | AC 19 | speed: 15 | F+9, R+5, W+10 | Resistances: Poison 1 | Perc +8 |Darkvision 60’

"I'm ready, too. We need to get on the road, as all those miles between here and there aren't going away any time soon."
