As Naomi is picking up the pieces of the large crawfish to put it in the pot to boil for breakfast; she looks around to see Jarvis sit up and look around, smiling and thinking to her self.
it's good to see something's do not change
waking up Ulfgard for the second watch, she goes to bed. Waking to the smell of boiled crawfish. Shaking out her bedroll and attaching it to the pack, then going off to the woods for her morning toiletry, she finally feels human enough to ask:
"well boys, after a wonderful breakfast will you be ready to get back on the rafts and find our druidess?"

Smiles as he walks out of the underbrush. Shall we find the druid today?
"I'm all for finding the druid. I want to make up for my poor sword play against that crayfish" says Turvijagal, who is still pouting a bit at his clumsiness.
Hmmm, lets make sure this is not the place were looking for.
"Hang on a minute boys."
looking around for a spot where the sun is shining through the trees, so there is plenty of light; Naomi kneels down and using her hand digs around in the dirt pulling up a handful to see if it matches the dried red mud mixed with clay they found in the temple.
this is not the mud we are looking for, we can move along.
Realizing this is not the mud that they were looking for, Naomi stands up, and just as she is about to wipe her hands on her pants, seeing Jarvis there, she walks up behind him, and patting him on the back, wiping her first hand off, she says.
"well boys, are we ready to continue heading the direction we were yesterday?"
discreetly switching hands on Jarvis' back, she wipes of her other hand and continues.
"back on the rafts the way we were or is anyone switching positions?"
finishing wiping her hands on Jarvis' back, she heads to the rafts and answers Jarvis, she waits as everyone loads up and finally pushes off.
"Actually Jarvis, I was thinking a belt, and maybe a pair of fencing gloves. So, were headed north-east looking for mounds of mud right? Not a problem for our fine dwarven ranger right Ulfgard!"
As they head north east under Ulfgard's competent command, Naomi keeps a keen eye out.
The party boards the rafts and starts back out north east? After three hours

nothing unusual happens. You continue after lunch for another three hours

After eating the rest of the crawfish and snake for lunch the team gets back underway. As the day progress Naomi keeps a keen eye out watching for any wild life threats.

edit: North east was the direction we were going right?
Yeah, there are a lot of really talented people there. We won't discuss mine though! I am attempting to learn, but it is a rather steep learning curve for me.

I won't be able to make a good post until after 1600, but if we need to move the thread along, Cyrus will grab his pack and follow the others for a short time.
As darkness nears though, he will be ready to go to the Inn and rest, as these past nights have not been kind to him.
if it was 3pm when we talked to the priest, then we found the fox and went back to town, about what time did we accept the food from the towns people, also what time of years is it? What time will it get dark? what kind of weather or how temperate is the season?
I would like to go on the record that I said a house sweep only if the woods didn't pan out. I only thought of a house sweep because of Law & Order SVU playing in the background. :)
Post to follow after I shovel out some grooves to get out of driveway following even more snow here in Massachusetts.
The worst, God willing, is behind us in the snow area and we are just getting the smaller stuff. It hit us really bad coming into Feb and I have spent a lot of time battling my winter weight by shoveling snow. :)
most of the characters I've been playing bang on stuff till they stop moving and interrogate their purses, so if I use bluff or diplomacy too loose feel free to jump in and explain. This is sort of what I had in mind
Suggest Course of Action:
You can use Bluff and Diplomacy together to make a request of a creature, without it even realizing you have made the request.
Check: You can gradually coax a target into thinking a suggestion is entirely its own idea, making the creature more likely to act on the idea than if you had suggested it outright. You discuss topics subtly relevant to the request, asking leading questions and narrowing the scope of the conversation so that the target eventually decides to take a specific action you have led it to.
You first attempt a Bluff check to convince the target that your request was actually its idea. This is always treated as far-fetched circumstances, resulting in a –10 penalty on the check. If successful, you then attempt a Diplomacy check to make the request of the creature, treating its attitude toward you as indifferent for this single request (regardless of its actual attitude).
Basically that the rouge is in danger and Naomi is trying to help him but he has to tell us what he knows.
I was thinking something very similar where the one who was knocked out by the spell is the one we talk to and the wounded one is the one Hagrym gets. Cyrus would explain the rigidity of dwarven law, and LG characters as a whole, while Cyrus and Naomi can agree to let the other man go as long as he hauls butt away from Lessef after spilling his beans.
If he disagrees, or thinks he would fair better with dwarven justice, he is more than welcome to try it.
His timeline is until Cyrus heals the other guy just enough to talk.
It is bluff bordering on Intimidate, but it might just work.
Edit: Next time I should read the in game thread before reading the discussion. Good to see Naomi and Cyrus are on the same page. :)
Outstanding. Now to have an episode of Law & Order: Lessef. I call dibs on being the Det. Munch of this group, aka Richard Belzer's char on SVU.
I'm so very confused; I usually only watch "agents of shield" and "the big bang theory", well that and "game of thrones" and now that you mention it, reruns of "firefly" who am I kidding, I own the DVD's of "Firefly" so I watch them whenever I can...and if were talking about TV on DVD there's "Hell On Wheels" and "Walking Dead"...I'm sorry where were we?
When I teleworked at my last job, it would never fail that USA network would have a Law & Order/NCIS marathon on that I would have as background noise.
Det Munch, from the SVU show, is a dry humored, sarcastic and conspiracy theory sort of guy, so I was channeling him when I thought of how to get information from this guy.
Looked interesting, but I have a hard time keeping up with all the shows I DVR now:
Supernatural
Walking Dead
Better Call Saul
Blue Bloods
Chicago Fire
Chicago PD
Criminal Minds
Scorpion
CSI
Madam Secretary when I can
Blacklist
100
Arrow
When they are on
Hell on Wheels
Turn
Z-Nation
The Last Ship
I might be one of few gamers who was not all that impressed with Firefly. I mean it was ok and I watched it, but it was no big deal for me. And I watch exactly zero reality TV.

Ok I'm back been a rough 2 weeks with the weather and work
I may be posting a bit less during the day this week as there are some hard deadlines I have to meet at work, but I still should be good for more active posting after 1930 or after I put the baby down.
If I seem out of sorts, it is because Roll20 is blocked at work, so I am doing a lot of creative imagination in my head. :)
Not a problem Cyrus, work comes first. (No, we must keep gaming above all things! LOL, J/K!)
I have added to the Campaign Info my variant rules for death. As my campaigns are generally a little bloodier, I allow a Fort Save for a permanent injury to avoid dying.
