Jarvis Ward |

I would guess I am on a pole also
"Alright I suppose I will push, I am not terrible with a bow either should it come to that, so who is on who's raft?"
Looking to Naomi because I know she will speak first and last.

Naomi Chadwick |
stepping near the first raft she asks"do we push off then jump on, or can we climb on and push off with the poles?"
Shrugging her shoulders at Jarvis' question she steps on the first raft with Ulfgard, batting her eyelids and saying sarcastically
"so which two of you strapping young men are going to pole us along?"

brvheart |

Raft 1
1- Ulfgard pole
2- Turvijagal
3- Naomi
4- Shandar pole
Raft 2
1- Hagyrm pole
2- Lucky
3- Jarvis pole
4- Galerio
Move if you like.

Naomi Chadwick |
and were off!
As Ulfgard and Shandar pole the raft that Naomi is on in a north-easterly direction, Naomi, staying still in the middle of the raft, keeps a keen eye out for anything uncommon.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
as she rides in the raft she thinks about the story the ranger told of tales of monstrous mounds formed from the clay and mud.
Monstrous mounds of mud, hhhmmmm, does that sound familiar?
please pick whichever one fits the roll the best, thanks

Hagrym |

Hagrym lets Ulfguard's boat take the lead, as he didn't have his friends eye for exploring the wilderness. After they took the lead, Hagrym tried to push his vessel in the same general path as the other, staying just a bit behind.

brvheart |

A raft makes about 5 miles per day, about 10-11 squares on the map so you can make it to the island I to the NW by night fall if you head that direction.
random encounter: 1d20 ⇒ 10

brvheart |

stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
Those in raft 1 can roll perception to beat the stealth roll.

Galerio |

Raft 1
1- Ulfgard pole
2- Turvijagal
3- Naomi
4- Shandar poleRaft 2
1- Hagyrm pole

Galerio will definitely have his new crossbow at the ready and be scanning around.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

shandar milsap |

Roll it for me please brvheart I'm on tablet in meeting

brvheart |

perception shandar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 When you get a chance you want to level up your character?

brvheart |

I'll roll the other two while I am at it
perception Ulfgard: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
perception Turvijagal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 +10 for the nat 20=37! Roll initiative Turvijagal. You see two lizards in the water about 15' from the raft. The map is up on Roll20

Jarvis Ward |

HAH! Go brv! Excellent roll!
Jarvis is poling along trying to stay in a rhythm Hagrym, pushing and pulling to try and stay in line with the boat a head of us. Looking about the swamp.
Eh... I hate this smell, stale... dank... sulfur, who knows whats out there, but no one ever became famous from a trip to the swamp... magical nose plugs perhaps... hmm

Jarvis Ward |

No he has not... Was he an orc?

Naomi Chadwick |
Sam Houston no Jarvis he was not an orc, he was either Aasimar or Tiefling, depending on who you talk to, or possibly which side of the river they lived on.

brvheart |

He was half Cherokee though. Leader of the Texican Army that defeated Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto (said swamp) and brought about Texas' independence from Mexico in 1836. He became the first governor of the Republic and State of Texas. Several of my ancestors were murdered at Goliad and one of my wife's fought at the Battle of Bexar and the Battle of San Jacinto. He was one of three men responsible for the capture of Santa Anna after the battle. Sorry, I can't spent five minutes around here without my wife looking up one or another of her relatives from back then! Ulfgard, he would be the Otto Von Bismarck of Texas!

Phrip |

Sam Houston no Jarvis he was not an orc, he was either Aasimar or Tiefling, depending on who you talk to, or possibly which side of the river they lived on.
LOL! Well said.

Turvijagal |

Sorry I didn't respond yesterday. Had to get my root canal finished and then lost my wallet on the bus (and against all odds, got it back from a good Samaritan sort of thing.
But anyway, getting back to the game...
"Keep alert, everyone!" Turvijagal says, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"We're being followed by some lizards in the water."
He'll fire a crossbow bolt at the nearest one.
light crossbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 191d8 ⇒ 2

brvheart |

It is the surprise round so only Turvijagal gets to act.
Everyone on raft 1 take shock: 4d8 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 6) = 15 of electrical damage. Reflex save DC 12 for half. Everyone else can now roll init for round one.
initiative lizards: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

brvheart |

Glad you got your root canal finished and your wallet back. There are some of us left out there that turn wallets in or look for an ID!

shandar milsap |

reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
im down -3

brvheart |

[dice=hitpoints]1d6 +0; .
Here is your hit point roll Shandar, +2 for CON. You should be at 0. Dang, it didn't show, it was a 5 as I looked it up.
Edit, actually I just checked the map and Shandar you are just out of the AOE.

Jarvis Ward |

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Continues holding his pole so the raft does not capsize,
Someone can use my bow if need be! I will try to hold the boat steady.
Longbow
Also I had to look him up too...

brvheart |

init Turvijagal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
init Lucky: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Still waiting on reflex saves from Turvijagal and Ulfgard.

brvheart |

Initiative Order Round One
Turvijagal
Lucky
Hagrym
Naomi
lizards
Ulfgard
Galerio
Jarvis
Shandar
Turvijagal you can go as soon as you make your reflex save.

Naomi Chadwick |
electric lizards? You’ve got to be kidding me.
Seeing the source of the electric shock Naomi points out the two lizards as she fires an arrow at the nearest one on the bank.
”Hey boys, their over by the bank on the left, let’s be careful I don’t want shocked again!”
shortbow attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 for damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

brvheart |

"This dog-sized lizard has two horns, one on either side of its head, and green scales that crackle with sparks of lightning."
