My goodness, you're an impatient one, Grenz.
It appears that no one took damage this round, so life link won't restore any hit points. If you are more than five points below max, let me know and I will adjust - everyone but Freki is life-linked.
Speaking of our canine cohort, brvheart, would it be possible to get a token in Roll20 for Freki? Something wolfish?
Roylenna, seeing none of her allies in dire straits, moves up the stairs a little farther and stands with her back to the central pillar. She readies her sling staff to strike in the unlikely event that a gnoll gets within melee reach.
Active effect: Bless, 59 rds: Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.

brvheart wrote:that is fine. Both attacks miss though as she is firing through her allies. In case it helps, she notes in her botting instructions that she has the deadeye bowman trait which allows her to ignore soft cover provided by one creature. It appears that only Tobold was between her and her target, so she might still have hit. Her bow also has seeking, but I don't think the issue was with a miss chance.
Did Freki's prone adversary stand and provoke an attack of opportunity? If so, the wolf will take a bite attempt.

The wolf has to hit in order to trip. Ulfgard dropped another gnoll.

The earlier roll for that attack of opportunity hit AC 18 for 3 points of damage. I don't know if he gets a free trip on the attack of opportunity.
I don't recognize which icon is the new wolf, sorry. In the upper left, Ariane put his name in orange. I've placed a blue square around it - that's the square Freki has been since Ariane's first action, I haven't moved him.
Who is the icon to the right of Tobold's grease spell? The icon is different from the gnolls; is it friend or foe?
Are all of the gnolls around Dalgrym still on their feet? Ariane's action will probably provide him some aid if they are.

Sorry for not posting much recently. I had work-related things, technical issues, and then a nasty illness. I have now returned, and unless something else comes up I should be back to normal posting rates.
Dalgrym: strictly speaking, the free trip attempt is on every successful bite attack, but yes, it would apply to AoOs, etc.
Ariane steps onto the top of the stairs, aiming a shot at one of the gnolls threatening Dalgrym. The one that's furthest West, to be precise.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 Attack
1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Damage
Freki circles around the gnolls on the left, until one of them is trapped between himself and Uthala. He then leaps forward, snarling.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 Attack
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Damage
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 Trip attempt, if the attack hits.

It doesn't appear that anyone has taken damage again this round, so life link won't restore any points to anyone.
To the experienced life link users, can you tell me whether I can add a link to an ally at range or whether I have to touch them? I'm thinking that I might switch who I have linked.
Grenz |
Roylenna, I think that you can establish a Life Link with another up to Medium range (max range for life link), Don't think the touch is required.
With a snarl at the gnoll attacking him, Grenz wades in, his black rapier leading the way - "You will regret this"

Little bit of research seems to agree, so if brvheart allows, Roylenna will use an immediate action to drop the life link with Ariane (since it makes sense that she will strive to stay out of immediate harm's way) and a standard action to add the life link to Freki (because he is most definitely not staying out of harm's way and if he's like most wolves, his AC and hit points make him more fragile than the characters. No move action this round.
The tiny cleric reaches for the tendril of life energy visible to her that leads to the archer cleric, "Ariane, I believe I should link my essence with your companion to provide some aid should he get hit." With that, she severs the tendril and crafts another that reaches across the battlefield and attaches to the wolf companion.

To be clear, Freki was flanking a tripped gnoll already. However, your preference indicated he would move to a standing target, so I have moved him into a flank with Uthalaa, avoiding an attack of opportunity as he moved.

This would also come with the usual trip effect, but the gnoll is already down so it shouldn't be relevant unless it does something unexpected as an immediate action.
By the way, who's the dwarf now opposite Freki? I can't seem to fit him to a character on the initiative.
